Hello and welcome to the blog Ghana, Spain, Turkey, and Moldova...and Moldova was featured lengthily on the ABC/BBC? yesterday re the economic impact of Independence following the collapse of the former Soviet Union and the perceived/alleged/actual retribution from Moscow et al, and how this illustrated the potential for these sort of trade punishments re the current Ukraine conflict, sanctions that flow in both directions......
Slightly Vindicated: by the discussion on Morning TV (Channel 7?, 9?-sorry) re the Military Industrial Estate in that when I tried to return to study 'on-line' (Politics, Law, etc) in 2011 I was completely scuppered by various issues, eg, my computer illiteracy, dental health issues, etc, but the one thing that really stuffed me was the comments/criticisms on my very first essay re 'The Apparent Popularity of Conflict', for which I received a low C grade...these comments dismissed my paragraphs about the role of the Global Military Industrial Complex and Religion as being irrelevant to the discussion...
(But surely the profit motive is a huge one genuinely promoting governments to spend on armed forces they are then almost forced to use, forced by lobbyists and industrialists...and the religious motivations I would have thought self-evident-Ed)...indeed...I'm not saying that essay was an A++ or anything, but to have these 2 very obvious points dismissed as irrelevant, royally ripped the rug out from under my study aspirations because it mangled my respect for the institution, and I didn't have the faintest idea where to go from there...
Some Self-justification: I don't mind being corrected or contradicted even argued with or even proven wrong, whatevs...sometimes I forget stuff, whatevs...(sometimes I just make shizzle up because it helps my narrative where facts may fail me-Ed)...exactly, and when hang on...(nah nah, go' bless go' bless, just joking, you always try, yeah yeah whatevs-Ed)...finished?...all I can do is try and if I'm wrong I apologise, whatevs...anyhoos...
PM Tony Abbott has travelled to Greenland to announce new funding for Elective Surgery waiting lists...(really?-Ed)...oh yeah, he's calling it Operation Operation...(you are such an idiot...and what's he doing in Greenland?-Ed)...oh I made that bit up...as well...just thought of a country on the other side of the planet that's absolutely none of our business, and I thought about Tony's extraordinary "enemies of freedom" criticism of Scottish Independence supporters, Aussie Muslim leaders are "foolish", etc, and looked at where he hasn't been yet to cause his special brand of offense, and I struck on Greenland...
And in the interests of supporting international trade I am now going to go to my kitchen and eat some of my Iranian dates as packed in Turkey before being shipped out here to us in Oz...(don't we have a bit of spare desert out here that we could use to establish some sort of domestic production/market?-Ed)...surely, and there are some small Aussie producers but imports are the usual supermarket fare...and so we have become allied to the supposed 'Axis of Evil' as date-peddlars...
And a segue that just wrote itself from dates to dynamite as we are to be involved, airforce airlift style, to supply Humanitarian Aid to the 'Kurdish'* forces in Northern Iraq/Kurdistan (* I apologise because I know there are several groups and areas, etc, that are collectively called 'Kurds', 'North Iraq', etc...I use these terms in their broadest definitions and hope not to cause offense*)...and we are involved in dropping HA which itself consists of arms/munitions...(and only weeks ago Iran started doing that-Ed)...exactly...so we are also allies with Iran in supporting HA in North Iraq...(and therefore so are the USof A, et al-Ed)...yep.
I genuinely apologise for the following terrible pun that is engaged merely by speaking the truth about what is a terrible situation, but I believe it perfectly sums up, encapsulates what is going on in our PM's little wooden 'ead...why is that we must drop everything to engage in the 'humanitarian catastrophe' of the Northern Iraqi Christians fleeing via Mount Sinjar to the recently declared Kurdish state or even to Syria and beyond, yet we seem relatively disinterested in the Muslims being persecuted in the same place?...(or in Palestine-Ed)...or even for the relative plight of some of our own citizens here in the Oz...
Go Tell Them On The Mountain: unfortunately defines the Judeo-Christian paradigm that we are currently subjected to under our illustrious leader PM Tony 'The Mad Monk' Abbott, where we have apparently some sort of humanitarian responsibility for a bunch of people on a mountain in the 'Holy Lands' and we're going to spend squillions, send fighter jets, etc, yet back in Australia he's all but ignoring his own citizens in what I'll call the Cold Shoulder War against Aboriginal people...some call it genocide...(wow, that's a massive call I'd really like to pull you up on-Ed)...but?...(but I can't because I think you're right-Ed)...
(It is an unquestionably terrible situation across Northern Iraq and Syria, but what the heck has it got to do with us? why does Tony Abbott seem so very keen to get armed Australians into some conflict zone somewhere, anywhere? what happened to "the Debt and Deficit Disaster" that he's been constantly spewing forth as a justification for dismantling Social Support Services, etc? do we not have enough serious domestic issues that he should be addressing with that money, eg, chronic disadvantage in Aboriginal Education, Health, Employment, the legal system, etc, etc?-Ed)...um, quite...
(Indeed, it appears that PM Abbott is living out his 'Boys Own Story' fantasy to engage in a Christian Crusade into the Holy Lands, and the restless natives back home, including Aboriginal people, are an annoying if not irrelevant distraction...a few examples in recent months, 1) PM Abbott has 'driven his shreckin' DDD Fire-truck through fences' (where fences actually means us), 2) snubbed the Garma event, Australia's largest Indigenous Festival, 3) just this week laughed it up about SAPol horses trampling student protesters outside his speech in Adelaide, and 4) Friday straight out stated that the defining moment in Australian history was the official White Occupation/Invasion of Australia in 1788-Ed)...err right...but you're right...
And it's all well and groovy to talk about the 'historical right for Israel to exist' and they have the right to do this and they have the right do that, but from the same PM, our PM, in fact to our PM, 'Dear Tony, what is the Right of the Aboriginal person?' what is the Right of the Aboriginal person who can but doesn't need to trace their ancestry across 60,000+ years...(uhhum 6,000years thanks if you're gunna' get on the Flat Earth Team Australia Team...and if you're not on the team you're against us remember-Ed)...so many options, too confusing, could you perhaps reduce it a bit?...
Medicinal Marijuana: has raised it's head again on ABC TV News24 with Dr David Allsop from Sydney Uni, a specialist in Addictive Medicine, etc, (he's on the Interweb) re applications for MM that are already widely acknowledged and treatment programs already underway in other countries, eg, the highly (pardon the pun) successful programs where MM effectively addresses the severe symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis.
He straight up stated the many risks as associated with any drug, eg, dependency, and those specific to Cannabis, eg, risk of psychosis, respiratory problems, etc, but inside a minute was right into "a suite of benefits"...I struggled to keep up with his albeit excellent explanation of the 120 molecules in Cannabis, of which the psycho-active agent THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is only 1, and that there are many non psycho-active properties, and "they all have interesting medicinal qualities", etc...
And He Scores: 250 samples of "street Cannabis" for testing, and which has been grown to focus on increasing the THC, but then explained in specific terms that THC itself has important medicinal qualities in dampening nausea and stimulating appetite, as he said, "the munchies" that Cannabis is known to cause...and this makes it often an excellent option for people with AIDS, Cancer, MS, and other wasting diseases...other Cannabis can equally have the THC bred right down for other applications, eg, the proven non-intoxicating spray used for childhood epilepsy, MS, etc...
The above is not medical advice from me, I am not a doctor...it is my recount of an interview...please review the issues of MM for yourselves...I can only say that I did MM self-medicate following specific if unofficial medical advice when I had a bucket load of Chemo 10 years ago and I genuinely believe that it worked to completely control my nausea, etc...I also believe that the evidence is in and conclusive when it comes to lawful MM for a range of ailments...
Sweet Baby Cheeses?:...no, but close...it's the Candy Canes being used as Jesus lollies by the Access Ministries group to indoctrinate small children as past of the School Chaplaincy Program they have been running in public schools in New South Wales (I think it was)...using Candy Canes to bribe children, to 'get their attention', and then it's all about the J-shape for Jesus, all about the indoctrination, etc...and parts of a very scary speech either by an Access Ministries person or from one of their seminars, whatevs (sorry didn't hear that bit) straight out stating that this is the opportunity to 'evangelise' many children...
(Fanatical religious organisations getting to our kids...how could that possibly go wrong?-Ed)...more...

Here's Some Stuff
Hello South Africa, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine and welcome to the blog...and it's typical of me that it takes a week to get to last week's The Border Watch stuff...(but it doesn't really hurt with these few things you've covered in recent posts because they're rolling issues, and sometimes waiting a week saves having to revise and correct yourself-Ed)...fair point, in any given day you can see a dozen versions of the same story depending on what media provider/owner you're watching...
(Yeah, it's a real problem when you need to intimately know the specific political bias of the website/newspaper/whatevs you're relying on...and this is what makes Liberal Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull's statements re 'it's alright to be biased in your own newspaper, that's why you own a paper', so damn annoying-Ed)...except of course for all those people who access certain media because it says what they already think and/or want to hear...(yeah, fair enough, but for those others looking to be evenly informed, it's bloody frustrating to have to review the view you're viewing-Ed)...true...
Apologies for no post yesterday (*** and post-script apologies, more computer/connection problems, today Saturday 30th August, couldn't even get computer to work this evening, finally did, hence cut and runnish post ***) but no apologies for having one of those I just don't care kinda' days when I just wasn't going to put myself through what can be a distinctly unpleasant experience...(well I'd suggest that reading you're posts is in and of itself a distinctly unpleasant experience, for certain people, in context-Ed)...oh absolutely...in context, that's exactly what the blog is about, albeit by default not design, trying to address at least some of the crippling pro-paedophile corruption that is destroying South Australia...
I'd just like to metaphorically embrace the former St Martins parent whom was involved for years in trying to address/resolve the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up and whom I ran into sortta' recently, and thank them for telling me how clearly traumatised I am, how depressed and anxious I am, and how I need to try and let go of at least some it...(sorry? you're thanking them for telling you how unwell you are-Ed)...absolutely...
This wasn't the vindictive denigration that people like former MP Rory McEwen have serially flung about behind our backs to help the Lutherans cover-up the abuse of our 7 year old children, telling people we parents were/are crazy/liars/troublemakers, and an exciting cocktail of all 3...this parent, having walked that road, was concerned for the reality of what they knew I am still experiencing...they were concerned for me and were telling me to my face...and they agreed with my observation that it's impossible to avoid the issue of Child Abuse because day after day it's one Child Abuse Cover-up after another Royal Commission...(nicely worded sir-Ed)...
We also discussed the ongoing discourse in the community that has seen St Martins lose students and ten years after starting their 'high school' there's still only half a class of year 12/13 students because people know about the 2002 Cover-up and rightly don't trust the Lutherans, etc...and again, I take no joy in damaging the school or anyone involved because it changes/addresses virtually nothing that has happened previously...(not strictly true, because it's highly likely that you parents have actually made St Martins a much safer place for kids there now than it was when your kids attended-Ed)...fair point...
And just gathering momentum in the local media, the story of the systemic failures in a an English Council area that allowed a group of Pakistani men to recruit/rape/abuse approx 1400 girls aged 11-14 over a 15-16 year period, and one of the senior officials was recruited from that Council to be now working in a senior position in the Victorian Education system...sound familiar?...this just happened with Keith Bartley and the Sow Strayan Education Dept...more tomorrow...
A Rude Joke: I'm starting a 'Dating' website specifically for drunk, unattractive people...(oh yeah, dare I ask, what's it called?-Ed)...I'm going to call it 'Beer Googles'...(no, I did not laugh...alright, yes I did, a little bit-Ed)...that's all I need...
Speaking Of Jokes: I broad-castedly completely reject these farcical statements by people like Labor MLC Kyam Maher, Mt Gambier City Council CEO Mark McShane, Minister Tom Koutsontonis, the Mt Gambier Chamber of Commerce, etc, that everything's going great guns in the South East, and Real Estate is strong, business is super confident, etc, etc...sorry, I know I'm being a bit lazy in not providing specific examples but there's so much of this going on you're bound to have run into it yourselves...cast a dart where you might and it'll hit the bullshit I promise...
("Broad-castedly"? what the?-Ed)...I cast my dismissive judgementallings far and wide, I throw them broadly...these clowns can and do say whatever they like, not least of all because they rarely if ever actually get held to account for it...(testify-Ed)...because South Australia is completely bankrupt...(leave morality out of it, what about the Economics?-Ed)...my point exactly...and more major stores closing and great swathes of empty shops, un-sellable houses, more job losses guaranteed when the next state Budget shuts down services in Regional SA as we get written off at a Federal level. etc, etc, but it's all just fine...(fine-Ed)...fine...(just fine-Ed)...
Homework: a quick flick about the Interweb shows that I had it around the wrong way, but still half-right....
(wahhh?-Ed)...in that there is a Kingston by the sea away down our way, but the extended differential titling goes to Kingston-on-Murray which is sortta' up there and over a bit...sorted...
Dental As She Goes: because as part of this weeks reportage about the huge dent that had been made in Public Dental waiting times, down to 16 months from 45, with a combination of a mobile clinic and utilising private dentists to take public patients, etc, it was stated that the Mt Gambier Hospital Clinic now has 10 chairs if not quite enough staff to use all of them, etc, and that the Clinic serves 10,000 adults, and 4,000 kids as part of the School's Dental Program (?-proper title-sorry)...that's a total 14,000 patients...
(Hang on, 10 chairs for 14,000 patients...that means if each person has their 1 yearly check-up and little else, for one appointment of say 30 mins, that means 7,000 hours of chair time-Ed)...and they don't yet have all 10 operating...(yeah, yeah, but for argument's sake and ease of calculation 10 chairs for a total of 7,000 hrs, that's 700 hrs per chair per year, across say 50 weeks, that's a very rough calculation of 2/5ths of their 40 hr week just for basic checks-Ed)...if they can find 10 dentists to utilise all of those chairs all at the same time...
The issue of the waiting list obviously remains and is effectively another workload of at least 16 months which effectively equates to most of the time that would remain in a 40 hr Dentist week, with all 10 chairs operating efficiently patient to patient...I've had the ironic pleasure of spending quite a bit of time in various dentist's chairs both private and at the Public Clinic so I've got a fair idea of what/how long it takes to do, say, a basic filling if nothing goes wrong, clean up and get organised for the next patient, give the dentist 5 minutes break, etc...
It is great to hear of these improved facilities and the potential for a further lowering of the waiting lists, and I genuinely hope that they can attract the staff to get it all happening to maximum capacity as soon as possible and remain that way as much as possible...
It was hardly a surprise 1) when Climate Change sceptic Ian Warburton was appointed head of the review of the Renewable Energy Targets, that he would 2) reach today's decision that the RET are not really necessary...and he's wrong on 1) because the realities of what we do as a voracious contamination loosely disguised as a species, cannot be denied...(whaaa?-Ed)...just using that old analogy that the human species is like a bacteria or infection slowly choking the planet to death with our very existence via the very things we do...(oh look out it's Captain Happypants again-Ed)...
My Main Fan Man: is Miles George of Infigen Energy who has been all over the media bleating out his main Armageddon scenario in response to Mr Warburton, along with Kane Thornton of the Clean Energy Council, et al...(oh, you mean the scenario where the Wind Turbine Industry has to fund itself and therefore immediately folds because the whole things an uneconomic snow-job?-Ed)...yeah, that's the one...and the same interview over and over on the ABC TV news and they read out one SMS suggesting that the money should be invested elsewhere...it really did look like just another round of pro-Wind Turbine propaganda poured through the ABC...
Chronic Ministerial Incomptent: Labor's Grace Portolesi has just received her reward for being a corrupt pro-paedophile Education Minister, albeit just one in a long line...(isn't it now Jennifer Rankine, wife of current Lower House Speaker and former Attorney General Michael Atkinson, a key figure at the head of the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up?-Ed)...that be they...(and I'm not just lashing out or whatevs, I have had it put to me by someone that has dealt extensively with Ms Rankine that she's as dumb as a box a' hammers, someone whom even in live conversation talks in prepared statements/cliches/whatevs and appears entirely unable of independent thought as part of a fluid discussion-Ed)...
Don't know mate, never met her, but even in the brief media blips I've seen, she comes across as a classic empty vessel puppet politician pushed out in front of a phalanx of the genuine operators, out in front of the pro-paedophile Labor Party...
On June 1st 2012 I caught Premier Jay Weatherill live on ABC Radio Adelaide, his office immediately contacted me via the station whilst still on air, and I was subsequently run in small circles until being hand-balled off to Grace Portolesi who dismissed me by letter without even contacting me, and the Mt Gambier ABC and The Border Watch refused to do/print/whatevs anything about it...what a disgraceful piece of hand-washing, dismissing me/the St Martins Cover-up issue without even contacting parents...what a corrupt bastard...she rightly lost her seat at the March 2014 state Election...
But now she's been handed a plum job completely out of the blue, as Chair of the Multicultural and Ethnic Affairs Commission at $70,000...(but she wasn't even on the Board. Commission/whatevs, not nowhere near it-Ed)...exactly...and Weatherill/Labor have also created another separate but effectively identical position for her as a Migrant Affairs Advisor at $30,000...(so that's just here you go here's $100,000 a year-Ed)...and only one of a long list of Labor politicians/mates/stooges who have received Board positions, etc, in the last fortnight...more tomorrow...it's just open corruption...(absolutely-Ed)...
And I'd just like to close with the latest gem from our clearly no oars what-so-ever in the shreckin' water PM Mr Tony 'The Mad Monk' Abbott, fresh back from saying stupid and offensive things internationally to say stupid and offensive things here on the domestic front in the Great Wide Brown Land Down Under cobber...apparently White Settlement is the defining point in Australian history, bar none...(and let him repeat that, as he always does, repeatedly, saying things over, just to make the point, repeatedly, because if it's worth saying-Ed)...stop, just stop...please...
Tomorrow: The Council/Mayor/Whatevs Stuff
(Whatevs-Ed)...whatevs...(fine-Ed)...fine...(just fine-Ed)...just fine...
Why Grammars Is Important: and like words and stuff...just listening the other day to reportage about the Royal Commission into Trade Unions, and the evidence of Ms Kathy Jackson, the senior Health Services Union official and official 'whistleblower' re others in the union...(is she the one who has her own slush funds and Union provided credit cards, etc, all the things others are in trouble for?-Ed)...well yes and no in that she does/did have access to sizeable sums of money without accountability, but that in itself is/was not specifically anything unlawful because it is/was part of the Union structures/processes/whatevs...
Anyhoos, apparently Ms Jackson was in the witness box being cross examined by the lawyers for the HSU, right, when she objects to being questioned by one particular lawyer and asks for him to be removed/barred/whatevs because she and he were sexual partners some 20 years ago...(so he'd also been in the witness box fgnnnyuk chortle chortle-Ed)...oh it gets better...(better?...wheeze...how?-Ed)...in the reportage they stated that 'Ms Jackson objected to that lawyer questioning her because they used to have sex and he would hold it against her'...(aaaahahaha, but why did she want him not questioning her? nyuk nyuk wheeze-Ed)...exactly, 'he would hold it against her' is the actual reason not the sexual act...chortle...
I am Nick Fletcher and this is my blog...cheers and laters...

It's Raining Mayors In Mt Gambier
Hello Spain, Dominican Republic, Moldova, and Romania and of course everyone up Robe way, Kingston -On-Sea...(pardon my ignorance, but is it officially different to distinguish from the Kingston on the Murray River?-Ed)...no no, pardon my ignorance, because I'm not sure...check and get back to you...and hello to ourselves here in Mt Gambier, and right on through to 'our' amazing coast...(or what's left of it-Ed)...indeed...
(And that's a debate right there, about vehicular beach access vs conservation/environmental impacts vs tourism vs marine parks vs sustainable impact, back to local 'rights' to access, etc, eg, the whole Kingston Fishing thingy covers a bunch of those issues in one event-Ed)...as an ol' hippy I'd have to go with restricted track access through sandhills to allow beach access, but I'd be super strict on things like fanging around in delicate environments like sand dunes...sorry if it spoils a handful of people's fun but it allows for allowing good access to the beach, whilst preserving what precious little natural environment we have left...
(And don't get me started about rising bloody sea levels-Ed)...since when did you need 'getting started' on anything...(stand at Brown's Beach and tell me erosion isn't already a massive problem...Grant District Council is investing in much needed infrastructure there, but they might be fetching it out of the ocean within a decade-Ed)...well quite, and whilst we haven't experienced the ocean level rises that some low-lying Pacific nations are already suffering, it's an indication that there are issues to come for us whether Tony Abbott wants to admit it or not...(how did we get onto this?-Ed)...I forget, moving on...
Attached Below Again: because I'm very confused with yesterday's stuff about $1million apparently allegedly possibly being mistakenly misplaced if not actually lost....and definitely not stolen...(sounds like someone's afraid of getting sued for defamation?-Ed)...just going by what's happened previous when Robe Council and/or it's representative Mr Peden, he as in this article, asked questions of Regional Development Australia's Grant King re how Mr King distributed the massive amounts of state government funding he was responsible for...(that's right, Mr King responded with a Defamation Action that was just recently dropped some 5 years later-Ed)...indeed...
And my confusion lies in that I'm not entirely sure as to whom's foot it is in which boot and/or which boot is in whom's behind...with this missing million it looks like it might be the same foot, Mr Peden as a rep of Council, in the same boot, asking uncomfortable questions, but yet that same boot is on the other foot because Robe Council is effectively on the receiving end...(sounds a bit like a mini New South Wales Independent Commission Against Corruption in that reasonable questions are problematic for all parties with questions to answer-Ed)...nice...
Smells Like Local Election: as Member for Barker Liberal Tony Pasin has been congratulating himself and the City of Mt Gambier because they are apparently fighting tooth and nail for the 'Headspace' Mental Health program to be expanded to Mt Gambier...(so that's former City Councillor Tony Pasin-Ed)...yeah...(praising up his mates on Council?-Ed)...well, yeah, sort of I guess...(only 11 weeks out from the Local Government Elections?-Ed)...ah, I see what you mean...moving on?...
(Yep, but not before we make the observations that there are virtually no Mental Health treatment services in Mt Gambier, almost no Drug/Alcohol treatment, and 18 months ago (possibly longer, before the blog started) that Council actually voted to not advocate for Mental Health patients-Ed)...
you're right, but yes that was some time ago, and quite frankly I don't care if it is just a self-promotional stunt that Council has apparently written to Health Minister Peter Dutton if it gets some sort of services for Mt Gambier...(and if it is just a stunt and there's no likelihood of any improvement?-Ed)...well then it's just business as usual and we've lost nuthin' except that last shred of respect for our elected officials who seem in personally profitable deceit and institutionalised pro-paedophile corruption...
Teething Problems: aside there's now 10 Dental chairs open at Mt Gambier Hospital as part of the very artistic expansion of the facility...(artistic?-Ed)...yeah, improvements made in the Minimalist style...(are you suggesting that this $27million upgrade of various hospital facilities/services is really only a stop-gap pittance given the many services that patients still have to leave Mt Gambier to access?-Ed)...you mean like having to drive 400kms round trip yo get an MRI scan in Warnnambool, Victoria?...not least of all because your Mt Gambier surgeon and GP are such rank incompetents that they took over 5 years to not even be able to organise the pre-scan appointment in Adelaide...(sorry, was any of that actually a question?-Ed)...no, not really...
The interviewee, Dr Geoff Franklin (? DentalSA sorry), stated that as of July 2014 the waiting time was 16.7 months, well down from the December 2012 wait of 45 months...(wow-Ed)...indeed...and it's a very fine line between 1) celebrating this drastic improvement, and 2) criticising the still inappropriately ridiculous waiting time, and/or 3) pursuing the 'how the shreck was it allowed to get to 45 months' issues...in my experience, the actual Mt Gambier Clinic does wonderful work juggling emergencies with cancellations, and the constantly rotating roster of dentists...
And thankfully that question was put to Dr Franklin, 'can you get enough extra staff to match the chairs?', and he acknowledged that recruiting staff is always an issue...(ya' know, it's sortta' like the 'glass half full versus the glass half empty versus the I don't even have a bloody glass let alone something to put in it so stop your bloody whinging' thing-Ed)...wow, that's a very specific thing that I've not actually heard before...(that's because I just made it up-Ed)...right, but it does offer itself as a reasonable template for considering many things in life, eg, is my TV bloody big enough already...
PM Tony 'Super WASP' Abbott is likely going to fly himself to Iraq in support of the USofA military action, eg, air support/strikes for Kurdish and/or Iraqi forces...(sorry what? I think you'll find he's a White Anglo Saxon Catholic not a Protestant for a start-Ed)...are you sure, because I swear that it was reported that we're sending 'Super WASP' to help...(you idiot, not 'Super WASP', Super Hornet-Ed)...no, the Green Hornet is a comic book hero/character...(nooo, Super Hornet, not Green Hornet-Ed)...so he's going to fix it with his Magic Penis then? 'Super Horn' it? get it?...
(Agreed, I've always said that there's nothing a man can't fix with his penis-Ed)...indeed, but no, the Mad Monk wants to send all, all mind you, of our 24 Super Hornet fighter jet thingys to Iraq or there-abouts to support the USofA...(well let's just hope that Palmer United Party Senator Jackie Lambie is just a xenophobic windbag blowing hard about China invading Australia then?-Ed)...China invading? dude, I reckon Aotearoa (New Zealand) could probably take us...(from behind-Ed)...indeed, take us from behind whilst our entire fighter contingent is halfway across the planet...
Back 'Ere: our charming Premier Jay Weatherill and/or Labor Party advertising continues to spew the same lies about fed cuts to health as being $630+m loss when a state government committee found that 2 thirds of that is actually state Labor cuts... and squillions is being spent on the big red ads all across the media saying that it's all the Feds fault...it's the same empty rhetoric and blaming that City Council CEO Mark Mcshane spruiks, saying that Council is going to suffer Federal cuts yet they're borrowing to do paving, etc...
Only last week he was on the ABC saying this stuff again, one minute it's a disaster and then it's everything's fine because Council is so fiscally responsible, 'rates are coming down in real terms', etc...(but all I've heard is rabid complaints about huge rate increases, and even more rabid discourse bordering on fury re those disgusting grey pavers down the Main St-Ed)...indeed, and questions about why did Council buy a paver-machine for the Main, and then tender out other street paving?...
OH MY GOD: just heard Senator/billionaire Clive Palmer praising-up Jay Weatherill as a man who cares about the people...(don't look at me, I got nuthin', it's just more of Jay bleating about how it's not his/Labor's fault that SA is in the crapper even though he/they put us there-Ed)...moving on then...
I know that I used that 'It's Raining Mayors' title thingy before but it'd be quicker to write a list of people in Mt Gambier who ain't runnin' for Mayoral Glorification...there's now 6 aspirants, and I reckon that's still more than prospective Councillors at this stage, but nominations don't even open 'til Tuesday 2nd September 2014 and close a fortnight later...that's current Councillors Allen 'Is The Key' Smith and Andrew Lee, the RSLs Bob Sandow, and David Burt, Leon Rigopoulis and this week former Councillor Paul Jenner...
Absolutely hilarious to see Mayor Steve Perryman in the media telling all aspiring candidates to behave appropriately, including the line that they shouldn't use public functions for electioneering...(you mean like say showing up to a Vietnam Veterans memorial for the first time in memory?-Ed)...yeah, don't act just like that...I've added this below...and more on this Mayor stuff...
Tomorrow: There's A Mayor In There
And one over there, and oops I just sat on one, and there's one stuck in the flyscreen door again...(PUSH, you push the bloody door, no, don't pull the wire, doh look, hang on)...excuse me, I have to go...
I am Nick Fletcher and this is my blog...cheers and laters...

Latest Bits And Pieces
Hello the USofA, Germany, France, and Ukraine and welcome to the blog...it's another day, I woke up, nearly half an hour into it and not yet one mention of a Child Abuse cover-up or Royal Commission...so far so good, but there's plenty of day left yet...(enough with the optimism already-Ed)...I can only apologise for the lack of humour but I just don't have it in me today, sorry...
That Charmer Palmer: has apparently apologised profusely to the Chinese government/people/both for his comments on the ABC Q&A program Monday last week, where he unloaded about 'mongrels' and a bunch of other stuff...again, I apologise sortta' 'cos I didn't see the whole thing and I haven't even tried to watch it on-line because 1) just trying to get stuff to play properly is a struggle due to the poor Interweb accessibility, and 2) when I can get stuff to play it chews my monthly 'allowance' in not very long...there's just no point trying to get through 10 minutes let alone an hour of anything...
And I know that I can spend more money to get more time, etc, but it doesn't change the reality that I regularly can't get the bandwidth/whatevs to get stuff to play, so what's the point of more time?...and I'm also aware that others do periodically have the same access problems I do...I basically scroll read headlines via Google, etc, check facts as best I can, etc, but when it comes to watching stuff, I pretty much don't bother...if I miss the TV replay it's just bad luck...(what is 'streaming video on-line'?-Ed)...indeed...
Two Unrelated Points: namely 1) that the truth lies somewhere between Clive going off like a frog in a sock, and the local faux outrage and irrelevant political correctness in response, and 2) China is more than capable of sticking up for itself...but the Palmer United Party's Jackie Lambie is not apologising for her comments re China invading Australia...and again sorry I've only seen snippets of these comments but if her comments are applied in an economic context, China has no need to invade Australia because it's far cheaper doing what it's doing now than physically invading...
Again, I cannot support foreign governments owning any share of Australian properties, don't care who it is, and if I was China I'd probably be doing exactly what they're doing to secure resources for China...our first problem is our own politicians who are actively looking to get on board with this sell-off/out...Free Trade is great if you're already in a strong position but crushes diversity, eg, no cars manufactured in Australia, no petrol refining, farms sold for far above value and turned into coal mines, etc, etc...and on top of that, state governments being pushed by federal Liberal to flog off state assets...
But First: Even with the unannounced absence of senior 'announcer' Stan Thompson, the 'Dorothy Dixer' interviews keep pouring out of the ABC Mt Gambier...last week there were 2 interviews on the same day re Weatherill government plans to interfere with/potentially axe local Development Assessment Panels...(ahh, those supposedly Independent bodies made up of, in Mt Gambier's case, 3 Councillors, namely Messrs Mutton, Von Stanke, and White-Ed)...oh my god!...(exactly, those 3 clowns, plus 4 people chosen by Council-Ed)...how is that Independent? 3 rank stooges off Council and their mates they chose...(I know, I know-Ed)...
The first interview was with Grant District Council Mayor Richard Sage and the second with a rep from the Local Government Assoc, and the general concensus was 'why would you change something that ain't broke?'...it's a broad paraphrase but both gentlemen stated that the current structures worked fine, just fine...(just fine-Ed)...(just fine-Dude From The LGA)...and it saddens/frustrates me that there was not one question about the raft of highly corrupted, nepotistic land rezonings, development approvals, etc, from the Bunnings/Penola Rd disaster, the rancid corruption of the Main Corner, the Lady Nelson Bus Shelter, itself a result of the Rail Lands Retail Agenda lunacy, etc, etc, on and it goes...(you do don't you-Ed)...
(And what about the Old Hospital demolition?-Ed)...yep, that, the Library, all that stuff that I maintain originates with the RLRA, everything has been done to keep that Rail Lands site free for Retail/Commercial development, these decisions that have all but destroyed any chance of appropriate future planning/development around Mt Gambier, eg, City Council deliberately stalling Bunnings at Penola Rd whilst they (Council) pursued the RLRA, meaning that the Light Industrial Estate on Millicent Rd was re-zoned by Grant District Council and Bunnings went there...(and of course that site was/is owned by a then serving District Cr Brenton James-Ed)...mate, you couldn't make this shizzle up...
Deja Vu All Over Again: as Stuart Stansfield is currently (about 0730hrs this morning) talking about the Lions group School's Speaking Competition...this was what Stuart interviewed Rory McEwen about in late 2012, on the occasion that I rang almost in tears and was repeatedly abused, taunted, goaded, mocked, and laughed at by Stuart...just caught the tail-end of this today and a brief mention of Rory 'shaking his head' but I'm not sure whether he was referencing the day before, or whether Rory's sitting there right now with his mate...sorry...there was also reference to 'call in and speak for a prize, you've heard what the judges want' but I didn't hear that part of the interview so I don't know whether that was Rory or not either...whatevs
Subterfuge?:...(or sub to Japan?-Ed)...do you mean sub-contracting to Japan the SA Submarine contract that PM Tony 'Super WASP' Abbott swore was gunna' see 12 submarines built in Adelaide?...there has been a visit to Adelaide by Japanese sub specialists and the Weatherill Labor government apparently wasn't even told...(if that wasn't so funny it'd be a bloody outrage-Ed)...indeed...and reportedly the SASC original Collins Class subs are doing so well that 2 sometimes 3 of them are in the water, up to 3 of the 6, up from the usual 1...1 of 6...I have no idea whether they are totally shonky or we can't afford to run more than 1 at a time, whatevs, but why are we doing this again?...
I know it sounds relatively simplistic but, if we have to have submarines, why not buy the second-hand subs and develop an industry based on recycling/refitting/re-saling?...we can't build new ones and we can't afford to try again...get second-hand which means an instantly operational fleet with heaps of back-ups and all the technicians, etc, can pull one or two apart whilst developing future systems, etc, thus maintaining a viable intellectual property and/or workforce...
(And why not from the USofA? they owe us for all those dodgy bloody helicopters we bought that couldn't fly propers-Ed)...and the bloody Joint Strike Fighter for gourd sake...(orr not the JSF, don't get me started about the bloody 'Flying Pig'-Ed)...nah, stay on task, the submarines...ah yes, yes it doesn't look great when the state government doesn't get an invitation to it's own facility, but this doesn't mean that the subs are definitely being built elsewhere...(or at all for that fact-Ed)...oh gourd ,don't say that...I rarely get on this bandwagon, but Adelaide desperately needs those jobs, new or used...(Honest Jay's Second Hand Subs, yeah?-Ed)...maybe not...
There's apparently state funding for work on 'rural roads', being the Main Corner intersection and the Jubilee Hwy/Crouch St intersection...interesting that 2 intersections inside the Mt Gambier city limits are considered 'rural'...(is that because they want to put Bike Lanes through those roads-JC)...sorry, the JC...(ahh no, not the JC, I'm Justin Credbly-Cynical-JC)...of course you are...joking aside, the Main Corner intersection was traffic disaster enough before the Main Corner project further concentrated parking problems, thus exacerbating the limited flow issues...a lane that suddenly turns into carpark spaces just through the lights is always going to cause problems...
Furthermore, adding turn arrows to the Main Corner will extend the sequence time and cause traffic to back-up right along the Main St...why not do the 3-cycle thing, it works perfectly...cars one way, then the other, then pedestrians left, right or diagonal...this stops cars getting caught waiting for the pedestrians and/or driving through intersections while people are still crossing...it's safer, quicker, more efficient...
Bottom Of The Marina Scheme: I've attached the following item from The Border Watch of Thursday 21st August 2014 just because it's very interesting given the years of shenanigans re Robe Council and the Defamation action from Grant King/the RDA re questions about RDA's funding 'practices', but it looks like this time the booting may be on the other foot, albeit the same foot may be in that boot...(whaaa?-Ed)...I know, I know...I'll do more on this...
Tomorrow: More Shenanigans
Probably about the Rail Lands again too...(and why not?-Ed)...and I'll explain Tony 'Super WASP' Abbott.
I am Nick Fletcher and this is my blog...cheers and laters...

Going Back to Where My Back Caused Affront
Hello Taiwan, Turkey, Thailand, and Cambodia and welcome to the blog...getting back to last week, indeed a week ago and the Mt Gambier City Council meeting of Tuesday 19th August 2014...there was all the usual Councillors pogoing in and out of the Chamber with Conflict of Interests re Solar panels and/or lights...(well actually those COIs were quite unusual really-Ed)...in what way?...
(Cr Des Mutton who has had to be reminded from the Public Gallery about his multiple nepotistic COIs re the Main Corner and/or his son Lachlan before he leaves the room, but this time was talking about his 'grandson' being involved with this Tender process, whilst leaving voluntarily-Ed)...fair enough, that is all a bit unusual, but he might have meant 'son' or something, and it's no surprise to regular Council attendees who write this blog...(so you then-Ed)...everybody who's important, yes...(impotent more like it-Ed)...pardon what?...(just sayin', important yes, but what about Des?-Ed)...yeahhh, ok, it is a recent occurrence that Councillors are being so specific about their COIs...
(It's almost like someone's been calling them on these multiple COIs and their related conduct-Ed)...almost...(say, via a blog or something-Ed)...alright, via a blog or something...(very funny-Ed)... actually I do think that may well be part of it, but only part, I think they're all just trying to appear professional and appropriate for the Local Government Elections in November...(anyway, they're trying very hard to give the impression of professionalism and probity where none exists-Ed)...which segues beautifully into Cr Allen 'Is The Key' Smith also leaving because he too had some COI re some company...and that is an unusual occurrence...
I respectfully submit that not one single Council decision in at least the last 2 years, particularly re Liquor Licensing, is a valid decision because of the failure of Cr Smith to leave the Chamber...if I'm wrong I'm wrong, but I understand that Cr Smith in his position as Chair of the Mt Gambier Racing Club was responsible for the associated Liquor License at said premises...(a position he recently 'resigned' from-Ed)...resigned, was shoved from because his term has been an unmitigated disaster, whatevs...
Apologies that I don't know the exact details of the Racing Clubs specific Liquor License, perhaps it's held by the SA Racing Board or some such and therefore Cr Smith is golden...however, it is my understanding that Cr Smith is/was 'responsible' as such for that License/premises/etc, and therefore he had a COI on any issue re Liquor Licenses and therefore should not have participated in those votes...(hang on, the Race Club is also a function facility, yeah? used outside of race meetings?-Ed)...um, yeah...(has he ever left the Chamber re, for example, the Main Corner leases/contracts/whatevs and the commercial function facility that Council built there with ratepayers money?-Ed)...don't think so...
(Let me help...at the infamous Night of the No Quorum as covered in previous posts, when there were 2 absentees and so many COIs re the Main Corner, namely Mayor Steve Perryman, and Crs Andrew Lee and Biddie (Tietz) Shearing that there weren't enough Councillors left in the Chamber to actually vote-Ed)...that's right, because Cr Mutton also stepped out after I pointed it out to Acting Mayor Byron Harfield that he (Des) also had a minor COI because his son was the leasee...(indeed, and then on a second Main Corner issue held during the 'Public Excluded' section at the end Biddie Shearing didn't leave the Chamber-Ed)...which meant that vote was/is 'irregular' and/or 'unconstitutional' or whatevs it's called...
(And did the Racing Club Manager Allen Smith leave the Chamber for either vote?-Ed)...no, no he didn't...so both of those lease issues were arguably 'not legal' in the procedural sense...(at the very least not appropriate...but we're reminiscently digressionalising-Ed)...yeah, but actually not really because it segues quite well from my politely outspoken comments that evening, from there through the paint-peeling tirade I unloaded on Rory McEwen back in March, to what it is I've been alluding to with references to my back causing affront...(oh at last-Ed)...but first read this...(no no n
o, no that's not fair, you can't just cu stop tha ...sorry...(don't do that please-Ed)...sorry, I was just lashing out...
I have previously posted my displeasure at usage of the phrasage 'it takes a village to raise a child' and in particular it's usage by Mt Gambier City Council given that they are effectively or actually complicit in the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up, so when this issue finally came up at the end of the evening I'd had an hour to think about it and that was more than enough...
CEO Mark McShane was on his feet sprouting forth about this Charter and then started in on something about the shreckin' Rail Lands and the great nature playground or something and that's when I got up, picked up my briefcase/laptop bag, and quietly walked out...and I got as far as the table just outside the Chamber doors and put my stuff on it to pack away my pad and pen and then found myself just standing there...just standing there with my back directly to the CEO and Mayor...(it's a Thang don't ya' know?-Ed)...it surely is, it's a passively aggressive protest indicating absolute contempt...here's my back, talk to that jack...
Not A Word Of A Lie: I did not plan this in anyway, it just happened, but I found myself standing there legs akimbo, arms crossed, and there in the glass partitioning across the room, clear reflections of Stevo and Marko looking out the door directly at my back...given the well lit room I reckon they could see my reflection as clearly as I could them...and so there I stood and did I imagine it or was there a crack in the voice, did the tone in the room change markedly...
Again, I didn't plan this, but it is a very traditional protest, and in a context where one cannot speak, it proved almost perfect...absolutely silent absolute contempt perfectly framed by the Ivory Towers own portal...(dude, you couldn't plan that shizzle...and that's one broad back too, probably filled the whole doorway-Ed)...a very broad back with a very loud message written on it, metaphorically speaking...and I made my point...
And because it was the last item before 'Public Exclusion' I was still stood there as the several publics and a certain The Border Watch reporter filed out and the doors were shut, and thus they all realised that I'd been there that whole short time...I'm not sure exactly what this 'protest' achieved other than discomfort in the moment, but it's a moment I'll quietly cherish for it's organic perfection...
Tomorrow: Ploughing Ahead
Toward gourd knows where...(enough with the relentless optimism already-Ed)...
I am Nick Fletcher and this is my blog...cheers amd laters...

Two Little Truckers A Truckin'
Hello y'all and welcome to the blog...let's get amongst it...
Apologies for apparently misquoting the Guvna' of the Reserve Bank Australia, Glenn Stevens, but I'm very confused because I swear he said that 'there's no need for draconian fiscal tightening' but he apparently believes that the current proposed Federal Budget could have gone further...(wow, that is confusing, you sure it's him saying that, or is it just biased media reporting what it wants to say, what it wants people to hear regardless of the facts?-Ed)...no idea, it could just be that he truly believes that the proposed Budget isn't 'draconian' and therefore could/should be 'tougher'...
I'm Concerned: that the current Ebola virus outbreak in Sierra Leone continues to treated as a bit of a novelty in the Western sphere...I'd suggest that if it was a small European country that was shutting it's borders and/or it's neighbours closing theirs, and/or had whole suburbs closed off to stop the spread of the infection, then this might be more of a concern...and why in gourd's name would others go to the opposite extreme and fly it out of Africa to Spain and the USofA?...
In small media bites there are statements from the World Health Organisation and others that this is a perilous situation with global implications, but it doesn't seem to be such a concern elsewhere...and again the example of the 2 USofA citizens repatriated, treated, and apparently recuperated and released...in the many reports that have been on the ABC/BBC World Service programs there has been repeated reference to the many months of lag-time that the virus can exist in people who have survived an initial infection, yet in the USofA these people are out and about...(perhaps this 'treatment' completely kills off the virus hence no lag-Ed)...well, I hope you're right...
A Novel Idea: because everyone has one in them, apparently...(is that like an original thought-Ed)...not in my case because I'm shamelessly ripping off every popular theme/character/plot-line/whatevs that I can think of...(what's it called then?-Ed)...well I've got a few working titles but I'm more than open to suggestions/comments...(super, so what have you got thus far?-Ed)...well, it's about a wizard young chap who's parents are dead to him because they wouldn't get him an i-Phone like everyone else has got...(mmm, already sounds like a modern mediocrity-Ed)...yeah, and he flies off to college and has a series of semi-interesting adventures with his new buddies...
(Mmm, yeah, again, it has promise, but it's sortta' a Tony Abbott promise isn't it-Ed)...you mean a lie...(well yes, but more philosophically in that there would seem to be a lot going on with plenty more to come, and yet it fails to deliver across the board...is there an interesting protagonist at least?-Ed)...oh heck yeah, Lord Mouldywart, he's like a real bastard...(Lord Mouldywart?...really?...is this where we're going is it?-Ed)...don't know what you mean...anyhoos, if it wasn't for our hero's companions the whole thing would be a disaster at the hands of the dastardly Mouldywart...but more tomorrow...
Happy Li'l Truckers: have got us a convoy Rubber Ducky...(ten four good buddy, you got your ears on?-Ed)...well yes, they're part of the whole head thing, but that's not the issue...2 of my favourite people have been trucking through the news with charming analogies about trucks...serial paedophile protector and vile Catholic reptile George Pell continues his lifelong odyssey to find the ultimate offense to heap upon those raped and abused by his precious bloody Catholics, by this week comparing priest's abuse of children with a truck driver who picks up and then assaults a hitch-hiker...(what the shreck?-Ed)...well quite...
His 'argument' was that the trucking company shouldn't/wouldn't be held responsible for that abuse...(what? how are those 2 things even slightly related?-Ed)...and as such it was perfectly reasonable and responsible for the Catholic Church to be deliberately structured and orchestrated to be legally removed from any official legal responsibility and/or liability re the actions of Catholic priests who abused children...(wow, he really is quite insane isn't he?...coherent but insane-Ed)...I don't know how else to put it Ed so I'm just going to agree with you...
This analogy is so wrong on so many levels, so inappropriate, and so indicative and insightful re the Catholic's/George Pell's mindset, that I'm not going to try and dissect it...if you cannot immediately see how wrong that statement is, there's no amount of me explaining it to you that's gunna' help...and our PM Tony 'Blazin' Saddles' Abbott is back in the driving seat of his l'Ãl red fire truck...(orrr, he's fire-trucking again is he?-Ed)...yes, I just said that...(it was a rhetorical question-Ed)...moving on...
PM Tony Abbott was using his fire-truck analogy months ago to address criticisms of his Budget...(indeed...fire-trucking his way to the 'Debt and Deficit Disaster' fire that was apparently so bad the fire-truck, with him at the wheel, was required to mow down a few fences...getting to the fire was such a priority a few fences were expendable-Ed)...and of course the problem with that analogy is that it de-humanises those most affected by the Budget...they're not people they're fences, and if they get knocked down well that's just a bitta' bad luck...
(I have this hilarious mind-cartoon of Tony in his little red truck barrelling through students, aged pensioners, the unemployed, those on the Disability Support Pension, etc, as they ping off to the sides or go under, and the sirens are wailing and the bells are ringing, all the lights flashing, and Christopher Pyne is hanging out the passenger window squealing with delight, and then they get to this billowing cloud of smoke only to find that it's Treasurer 'Smokin'' Joe Hockey and Finance Minister Mattias 'Always Blue' Cormann in Speedos, on banana lounges, choofing away on huge stogies-Ed)...wow, you paint an ugly picture not worth the words it's printed with...(thankyou-Ed)...
Cannabis Oil: is back in the headlines re the 3 year old child who was having 60+ seizures a day, who's parents were told to put him in palliative care (to die) and then were in trouble for giving him Cannabis Oil...now the Victorian Labor opposition has promised, if they win next years election, to legalise specific Medicinal Marijuana use in exceptional circumstances because it works...and if the ABC TV Landline program (amongst others) is reporting accurately, then we're about to lose our Industrial Hemp industry as well as the methodologies and other intellectual properties we have developed re MM but cannot apply commercially because we're so staggeringly retrograde on the issues of Hemp and/or MM...
For gourdness sake, again, put Cubbie Station under Hemp instead of the ridiculously water intensive, fertiliser sucking bloody Cotton...Hemp means less water, less fertiliser, greater yields of a far superior, stronger, more versatile textile...the same yields could be achieved at less cost over a smaller area with much less water which means that it could still be productive and economically viable, but a sizable area and associated water could be returned to the system, with say half of that reserved strictly for environmental options...(wow, you've put a lot of thought into that-Ed)...not really, it seems fairly obvious I'd have thought...get over it and get on with it...
And what the shreck happened to the allegations that Cubbie was illegally sold off to the Chinese by a corrupt Receiver McGrath Nichols to garner favour with the Chinese re future projects/contracts?...and what did our politicians do?...(sweet bugger all?-Ed)...even better...those few who did speak out about this sale, eg, the pre-2013 Federal Election version of the National Party's Barnaby Joyce...(ah, you mean before he sold out to Gina Rinehart, etc?-Ed)...indeed...well those people were vilified as being xenophobic...
The truth is not xenophobic, nor is it Rascist per se...for example, the complete load of bollocks that Right-Wing blowhard Andrew Bolt was pulled up on by the Court, where his 'Racial Vilification' was not just bigotted but found to be actually factually incorrect...(so not just the rantings of a lipless nit, but also wrong?-Ed)...yes indeed, all that and so much more...(it says so much that those words describe the Boltster, Rascist and Wrong-Ed)...right on...
And I couldn't help a wry expletive laden flip-out this morning when I was subjected to the screaming hypocrisy of the ABC's Stuart Stansfield solemnly introing and promoing a story by ABC Four Corners (tonight) about the reporter who 'exposed' the Catholic Church's Child Abuse behaviours in the Newcastle area (New South Wales)...and it read like a sleeve-note to my life...in conflict with the Church and Police to uncover these terrible crimes, etc, etc...it was exactly what I've lived for 12 years now...
And this woman is a hero apparently...(but you who has only done exactly the same only then some, you are a completely insane bastard who's just out to make trouble, openly vilified and demonised in the name of perpetuating the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up-Ed)...ummm, yes...(and she gets a bloody award, a bloody award for doing her bloody job, and you get a bloody massive Court case hanging over your head and the derision of the community where you exist-Ed)...sortta' says a lot about Mt Gambier and South Australia don't you think...
But I don't begrudge her said award because I'm not interested in any kudos, I just want it done, and if someone offered me a bloody reward/an award/a bloody whatevs I reckon I'd fair dinkum' crown 'em with it...(I hear where you're comin' from dude-Ed)...and again it's on Late Afternoons with an actual interview with the journo Joanne McCarthy...good on her for doing what she's done, but in my world it's just such a galling contrast...
Ms McCarthy got a letter of thanks from Julia Gillard...(and you got?-Ed)...I got a 'gee whiz, so sad, not my problem' letter via the office of then Member Patrick Secker...and I completely disagree that the current Royal Commission will ultimately achieve anything much other than give people somewhere to talk about their abuses, because 1) it's not empowered to do anything much else, and 2) the Catholics for example aren't going to co-operate with providing documents.
I still maintain that ultimately it's as much a collective assuaging of guilt for our failures to protect children as it is all about being seen to be doing something, not least of all in a media environment where the debate cannot be fully controlled...(not that they haven't stopped trying, eg, the trouble you're in just for talking about the authority you've been forced to label the Banana Lord because you can't say their actual name...probably-Ed)...yes, well, that's slightly tangential but I take your point...
Enough for today...I'll try to get through this Council and The Border Watch backlog of stuff...
Tomorrow: The Council Back Slap Down
(Ah yes, what was that all about?-Ed)...tomorrow mate, promise...

The Wind Sometimes Blows But Turbines Always Suck
Hello Netherlands, Taiwan, Cambodia, and Sweden and welcome to the blog...today is mostly about this latest round of pro-Wind Turbine carry-on...but before I dismiss all Turbine supporters as sub-intelligent livestock getting herded about at the behest of international conglomerates...(which is ironically what they accuse anti-Turbine proponents of doing, being operatives for Coal, Gas, etc-Ed)...indeed...before getting stuck in, I'd just like to make the point that I'm never wrong...
(Don't you mean not always wrong?-Ed)...whatevs, I'm just making the very facetious point that people do have mistaken beliefs, even intelligent people...(well just look at the number of intellectuals who wind up shagging goats as part of Whatevs Cult-Ed)...a fair point somewhat crudely made...people with good intentions are sometimes easily manipulated, and passion is not always attractive or accurate...and then there's outright zealots whom won't see reason and are more than capable of deceit, etc...
Spent 1/2hr trawling through the Australian Wind Alliance website/facebook page and wasn't that a joy...the AWA not surprisingly supports Wind Turbines and like any good lobby group conveniently ignores everything that compromises their argument...I was particularly pleased to see some clowns comments trotting out Wind Energy production figures from South Australia but not one mention of the fact that we have 1) unchallengeable Fascist Planning/Development legislation, or 2) the third highest electricity prices on the planet, 3) there's zero production when there's no wind, etc, etc...
In fact I saw very little of anything that might be considered considered opinion, all I saw was opinion based on ideology, which is not ideal...it was almost enough to drive me outta' the house and into my car to drive to Portland for the AWA meeting with guest speaker John Hewson (former Federal Liberal leader)...(oh bazinga, I've got one...the Federal Liberals I shall here-on-in refer to as 'the Fiberals'-Ed)...nice...to drive to Portland and make a grand statement re the Fascism, etc, but I just didn't have it in me...and I realised with unsurprise that my Agoraphobia is as bad now as ever...
Ironically, the massive trauma of having my home raided and the constant threat that it's going to happen again at anytime for any reason be it real/imagined/conjured/whatevs, that has made me barely leave the house unless absolutely necessary...congratulations, y'all 'ave caused further trauma to an already deeply traumatised parent...well done, what an achievement...and I'll get over it eventually because in my experience all it's really done is create 1) a great deal of concern for the reality of what's happening, 2) a modicum of concern for me personally, and 3) more than a modicum of respect with a dash of credibility for this 'ere blog......
Whatevs sort of Man-Bear/Stuff-Pig I might be and for all my paranoia and anger and prejudices mired in hatred stemming from the St Martins Cover-up, the realities are undeniable and I have proven my case...and not once, but time and again...doesn't mean I'm right about everything of course, but I genuinely try to be accurate...and time and again I continue to be threatened with punitive measures like being sued or charged, but when libelous push comes to litigious shove it's all absolute bollocks because the truth is such an ugly, fugly beast no-one wants it's mingin' visage cluttering up their precious Courtrooms...
And that's what's so genuinely scary about the Banana Lord legislation stuff...I could end up charged, tried, convicted and fined and no-one would be allowed to report it because that would mean discussing why I was charged, etc...(if they even wanted to report...the ABC both in Adelaide and here in Mt Gambier knows what's happened and won't run it...indeed the Mt Gambier media has seen fit to ban you full stop and the ABC's legal weevil's are burrowing through the blog apparently-Ed)...indeed, cheers y'all...but I digress...
I admit to hating the sight of those damn Turbine things and I can't imagine and never want to know what the whole of the Victorian South West coast would look like covered in these stupid fans...I know there's not much to say to people who do like the look of them, but go down to Bridgewater Bay and have a good hard look at the Visual Vandalism of a bunch of massive Industrial Turbines just randomly jammed into a gentle rolling landscape right on the coast...what a beautiful place completely bastardised and dominated by these massive Turbine towers...
I'll go there again...if Wind Turbines are so bloody fabulous and efficient and the way into the future, why is the entire industry, supposedly operating effectively in Australia for over a decade, why is the entire industry supposedly under dire threat from the removal of their precious bloody subsidies?...here-in lies the reality...if you remove these massive taxpayer funded subsidies this 'Industry' collapses...
And I'm absolutely sick and tired of this 'it's one or the other' mentalities, this 'it's all or bloody nuthin'' carry-on that people use to try and force compliance/agreeance/whatevs...PM Tony Abbott does it, eg, his latest round of ludicrously emotive manipulation re 'Team Australia'...(didn't former USofA President George W Bush make that same statement?-Ed)...indeed...please join me in a raucous round of the Team America theme song but obviously with a resounding 'Australia' to replace 'America'...(heck yeah-Ed)...
(And these people behave like these shreckin' Turbine things just magically, organically materialise out of thin air on ridge lines across the country and start producing free energy without cost or implication-Ed)...indeed...(where's the debate about how much energy it takes to produce a single Turbine, the mining involved, the extensive and costly manufacturing, all of which happens overseas, then the shipping to Australia, the transport and erection costs once here?...where is that discussed?...I don't see where any of this is acknowledged as being calculated into the massive costs of Turbines, costs that every tax-payer subsidises-Ed)...indeed...
I always love to see/read/hear anything from the Clean Energy Council, the Renewable Energy Industry Lobby group whom represent approx 600 companies in the Renewables sector...they have bobbed up several times again recently and it's the usual one-way wall of waffle and windy woofers (woofers being noises that make bad smells)...(you mean farts don't you-Ed)...pretty much, yeah...and don't get me started about the abuse hurled at people who raise questions about the health issues re Turbines...there seems to be a lot of 'playing the man not the ball' goin' on...
And the crowning glory in this parade of ideological ignorance and socio-political self-deception is the irony that the AWA would choose Portland for their latest production...(they have a spectacular Indoor Heated pool set-up at Portland-Ed)...indeed they do...(it makes Mt Gambier's open-air pool, that's closed more than half the year, look like the Retrograde C-grade Civic Embarrassment that it is-Ed)...Portland Pool which I understand is a pool heated with a natural spring...indeed...where is the investment in the 24/7 energy production of Geothermal in Portland/South West Victoria, instead of these Turbine things?
Meanwhilst, back 'ere in sunny Sow Straya the Weatherill Labor government continues to hide behind the latest farcical Child Abuse Royal Commission, refusing to comment on the abject disaster that is Child Protection in SA, a situation they have created as the government of the last 12 years...and the pathetic, irrelevant Liberal Party continues to bleat out it's faux outrage about Child Protection...and worst of all there's the bloody Education Union...
The bloody Education Union is holding forth about the need to separate Families SA from the Education Dept to improve Child Protection, and get educators back in charge...(orrr, what about SAPol's...-Ed)...(Tony-TH)...(Tony-Ed)...(nnnHarrison-TH)...(Tony Harrison, what about Tony Harrison?-Ed)...whatevs...which in turn the Weatherill Labor government has also refused to comment on, again citing the Royal Commission...
I note that the Teachers Registration Board Inquiry into Glyn Dorling was a Board wholly dominated by Union members whom subsequently acted wholly to protect their colleague and fellow Union member indeed the Union representative at St Martins...(so the abuses against 7 year old children at St Martins were committed by the Union rep at that school?-Ed)...yep, the Union rep...(geez, no wonder they were so keen to cover-up the abuses he committed-Ed)...indeed...
Enough for today...I can only apologise that I didn't have a trip to Portland in me today, but that's just the way it is...
Tomorrow: The Council Stuff
Including the references to back turning, etc, and some associated shenanigans in The Border Watch...

Almost Back To Cause Affront
Hello and welcome to the blog Moldova, Turkey, United Kingdom, and Aotearoa (New Zealand) and whomevers else...I retrospectively apologise that this post turns into a bit of an angry St Martins Cover-up rant but there's plenty to get outta' this wee bairn's scone given the avalanche of Child Abuse stories this week, Royal Commissions, etc...**and a second even more retrospective apology that I fell asleep on the couch again last night so no post yesterday but 2 today...
Real sorry about 2 today but there's been so much stuff just in The Border Watch this week that it's going to take a week of posts in itself, eg, the extraordinary load of bullshit from Beach Energy via a full-page ad, and an absolutely hilarious pre-Council piece about the Rail Lands...(ooo that it is a doozy-Ed)...**
I do love saying that though, 'wee bairn's scone', even if I did write it myself...please to be using one's bestest most ridiculous Scottish accent and join me in one more round of 'wee bairn's scone'...and now starting in the dead joke zone and headed toward what do dyslexic, Scottish, paedophile zombies say?...(how many people can you offend in one joke?-Ed)...nooo, they say "bairns!...Bairns!...bairns!"...(that's actually almost funny-Ed)...yeah, that's pretty much where the humour ends I'm afraid...
And I can make fun of the Scots because I bloody well am one, least 1/4 one, and that's enough...can't really comment on the Succession issue though, it's as clear as mud to me...I can appreciate the desire for self determination, but there are economic and security benefits re staying attached, and I've not really heard much of a compromise deal that allows both...anyhoos...
Our Federal Opposition (Labor) Leader Bill Shorten held a press conference yesterday (Thursday) 'outing' himself as the senior Federal Labor figure accused of a rape dating back to the 1990s...there's only several large problems with this declaration/situation, a situation that has apparently united both sides of politics...(even the Liberal's Education Minister, Christopher 'Tidy Gentleman's Perm' Pyne is sympathetic, but that's fairly understandable given the allegations levelled at him a decade ago-Ed)...oh yeah, I'd forgotten about that...
In 2005 I was daily at Parliament House before/after Radiotherapy (March-April), involved with the Speaker's office, Child Abuse Commissioner Ted Mullighan, various Child Protection advocacy groups, etc, and repeatedly heard an accusation/allegation of Sexual Assault made against Christopher Pyne...I believe that this allegation went to SAPol but no further...however, it must be acknowledged that 1) any allegation is exactly only that, and 2) unfortunately it is always possible that a false claim may be the weapon of an unscrupulous opponent...
(Is that 1) the voice of experience or paranoia?...or 2) paranoia born of experience?-Ed)...well 2) wouldn't be paranoia now would it?...so I'll just have to go with 1) paranoia...and I'd just like to make the point, while we're about it, that there's 'allegations' and then there's shizzle like the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up and the Rail Lands Retail Agenda...(fair point-Ed)
However, it is simply not appropriate to say that Mr Shorten has been exonerated because 'police are not laying charges' and/or 'police have closed the file' because in my personal experience, 'closed the file' and/or 'lack of evidence' means that police simply don't want to do anything about it and/or haven't even bothered ...(ah this is headed to another St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up reference isn't it-Ed)...damn straight it is, headed straight there...(maybe the cops couldn't act because it just came down to she says he says-Ed)...yeah, and maybe they investigated thoroughly and there is nothing to it...whatevs.
In June/July 2002 SAPol Mt Gambier flat out refused to conduct an investigation into the abuses committed against our 7 year old kids at St Martins, repeatedly refusing to interview parents and/or accept prepared written statements, failing to even attend the school or interview let alone charge teacher Glyn Dorling who had already been 'removed' from St Martins, didn't interview the Principal John Alexander to establish why he'd removed Dorling, didn't attend Flinders Child Protection Services interviews of kids and parents at Mt Gambier Hospital (that we parents organised) in the dedicated room set-up for exactly this type of interview, etc, etc, etc...not shreckin' nuthin'...and then dumped the case citing a lack of evidence...(bastards-Ed)...well quite...
Dorling was 'removed' June 10/11? 2002 and I and/or other parents attended Mt Gambier Police Station multiple times but they simply refused to do anything, and then 'Closed the File' with the justification that there wasn't enough evidence, and then started flat-out lying to parents and attacking us as the problem, eg, it was our fault that SAPol dumped the case, twice, first in July 2002 and then again in April 2006 after their alleged 'Review' of the case...on both occasions SAPol directly blamed us and abused us because we had 'discussed it amongst ourselves'...
(But the only reason anything has happened at all with Glyn Dorling and St Martins Lutheran School is because parents were talking to each other about their many individual concerns and duly became aware of the breadth and extent of 1) the actual abuses committed by Dorling against the 7 year old students in his care, 2) the actions/behaviours of the Lutherans in immediately seeking to cover it all up, eg, by denigrating parents who have pursued the matter, and 3) the rank lies being told by SAPol, Rory McEwen, the Rann/Weatherill state government, etc, in seeking to support the Lutherans and this cover-up of the abuse of a class of 7 year olds-Ed)...um, yes...
(So, parents have been openly attacked and slandered, repeatedly lied to, manipulated against each other, and heaped with abuse by SAPol officers like Nick Smith and Tony Scott-Ed)...yep...(and blamed for the failure to investigate because you allegedly 'didn't lodge official complaints'?-Ed)...yep, that from the Mt Gambier Supt Terry Harbour as quoted to us by then Member for Mt Gambier Rory McEwen when he dumped us after signing on with the Rann/Weatherill Labor government in December 2002...'Terry told me they (SAPol) couldn't act because parents didn't lodge official complaints'-Rory to me/us in Dec 02.
(But that's a flat-out lie!...several parents rang the official Report Line and made official Reports, and SAPol officers repeatedly turned parents away from the station, refusing to take and/or accept written statements, stating that those calls to the Report Line would be duly received and acted on-Ed)...exactly, that happened to me twice, both times in company of other parents...moving on...
Allelujah It's Raining Mayors: in Mt Gambier ahead of the November 2014 Local Government elections...(indeed, apparently they had a downpour at the Vietnam's Veterans Commemoration when our charming current Mayor Steve Perryman was notable by his presence, along with CEO Mark 'Mighty McShenanigans' McShane and Councillors Ian 'Don't Come Near My House Again Champ' Von Stanke, 'Swervin' Merv White, and Mayoral aspirant Cr Allen 'Is The Key' Smith-Ed)...the explanation for those nick-names are in previous posts...
Not A Word Of A Lie: but when I set my butt in the Council Chambers Tuesday evening I was already armed with the knowledge that many of the observers commemorating VV Day also observed the unexpected presence of Stevie, unexpected given that he hasn't been to a VV Day service in living memory apparently, and on Tuesday evening Stevo...(maaate-Ed)...Stevo confirmed as such as he gave himself and the above listed culprits a great big pat on the back for being there...(didn't he just...and hasn't that gone down a treat in the Veteran community-Ed)...apparently...
I paraphrase, but on Tuesday Mayor Perryman said he hadn't been to a Vietnam Veterans Day for a long time because he always had something else on...(right, something else on? every year?-Ed)...well apparently...(didn't write it in his diary and plan around it? year after year?-Ed)...apparently...(until we're only months out from a Council election and then they all show up-Ed)...it was apparently well noted and not so well received that crass political beanbags like our illustrious City Councillors would engage in this crass political opportunism...
Operation Obfuscation: is underway and ironically it's actually making things abundantly clearer re the Psuedo-Christian backlash against humanism and equality, as championed by our champion PM Tony 'The Mad Monk' Abbott and his exciting usage of language, eg, 'Operation Bring Them Home', calling Muslim leaders "foolish" because they didn't attend one meeting re his moronic "Team Australia" bullshit...(exactly how far can you lurch to the Right before you come around to being back to the Left?...I mean, if you travel to the East enough apparently you end up back in the West-Ed)...no idea...I thinks it's something to do with spheres of influence...
Tipping A Bucket: was an alternative title for this 'ere blog and is apparently currently a 'viral sensation' on the Interweb...(Rude Joke Warning)...(yeah, I gotta' get with this social media bollocks, and let's face it, it is mostly bollocks, but I thought that a 'viral sensation' was the itchy feeling one apparently gets just before a Herpes attack-Ed)...orrr that's disgusting...hilarious but disgusting...(that's disgusting?!...that ain't no bucket of iced water you're talking about tipping on people-Ed)...fair point...
Having A Manure Debate: There's been a flood of bullshit through the media about the Renewable Energy Targets and precious bloody Wind Turbines, including the South Australian government introducing yet another round of unchallengeable Pro-Turbine legislation...more...
Tomorrow: And The Actual Council Stuff
(You've done it again haven't you?...a whole post not on topic-Ed)...shhh, I don't think they noticed, reckon I've got away with that one...
I am Nick Fletcher and this is my blog...cheers and laters...

Solar So Good - City Council Sees The Light
Hello British Indian Ocean Territory, Lebanon, Ukraine, and the USofA, and welcome to the blog...(where the crikey is the BIOT?-Ed)...no idea...Antarctica maybe?...I'll check and get back to you...(dunnit already...according to Hippypedia it's halfway between Tanzania (East Africa) and Indonesia...that's sortta' where MH 370 allegedly went missing-Ed)...settle down...and yet another day where the systemic, institutionalised Child Abuse culture that clearly runs politics, the police, and particularly the Judiciary in South Australia is sickeningly prolific in the media stream...
Whoevs it is, the Crown Solicitor?..(no, it's the Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr Adam Kimber-Ed)...ta...the DPP is going to appeal in a Court...(the Court of Criminal Appeal-Ed)...ta...to increase the sentence given to Mark Harvey, the After School Carer who raped an 8 year old in his care and was then also convicted of assaulting 4 other girls in his care, meaning 2 Court hearings for a combined non-parole period of 3 years 3 months...combined total...
It was the Harvey case that led to the farcical DeBelle Inquiry that supposedly sorted out the Education system, as covered in many previous posts, and as repeated now with yet another Child Abuse Royal Commission, this time into Families SA...someone please tell me why Premier Jay Weatherill is not the man responsible for this disastrous situation in Families SA, particularly as he was the Families SA Minister for so long (then FACS) including officially refusing Comm Ted Mullighan officially investigating the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up...
And regardless of his specific multiple personal involvements and subsequent direct responsibilities for so many facets of this current situation, how is it appropriate for the Premier of the state to just wash their hands of responsibility and slink off to hide behind yet another fake shreckin' inquiry?...(because it's South Australia?-Ed)...well that explains why but not how it's appropriate..(fair enough-Ed)...
This Appeal process has no upside...my paranoia and cynicism screams 'snowjob' in my ear, in that it could likely be a set-up to try and lend credibility to the DPP on issues of Child Protection in an environment where South Australian authorities no longer have any credibility...and it would be bad enough if this was a deliberately minimised sentencing to set-up for the DPP to Appeal...(fair enough-Ed)...but if it's genuine sentencing decisions, 2 separate sentences remember, totalling only 3yrs/3mths, then that's even a worse scenario...
What does it say of South Australia and it's Judiciary, etc, when crazy Nick Fletcher's paranoia and cynicism, even if realised, is not as bad as the reality as presented?...(dude, stop, you're doin' my head in-Ed)...hello, welcome to my world...
Cardinal Sins: And this was immediately followed by a report that Catholic lounge-lizard George Pell will today again give evidence to the Federal Royal Commission into Institutional Responses To Child Abuse, this time re the Church's 'Melbourne Response' program...(is that the FRCIIRTCA that knows about the St Martins Cover-up, a cover-up that involves multiple 'Institutions', but isn't even coming to Mt Gambier, and, in over a year of operation, has never once uttered the word 'Lutheran'?-Ed)...yeah, that's the one...
Starting At The End: of the Mt Gambier City Council meeting from Tuesday 19th August because that's where the meat is...(well Councillor Des Mutton declaring a 'Conflict of Interest' on the Library Solar Panels bollocks because his grandson apparently works for the consultant/as a consultant/whatevs, that's fairly meaty-Ed)...his grandson? are you sure?...(that's what he said-Ed)...and didn't Cr Allen Smith also excuse himself?...(indeed he did, but I didn't hear his excuse, maybe an interest in the company imvolved? sorry, and the Minutes have not yet gone up on Council's Interweb site-Ed)...which doesn't really mean anything because the Minutes are only ever a version of what was said anyway, not a verbatim reproduction...(well quite-Ed)...
The Bottomline: is where this comes to rest regardless of whichevs Councillor's relative/mate/whatevs is going to make a direct profit from these decisions (they're also still proceeding with the Blue Lake Solar Lights at $500,000-$750,000) to suddenly invest in Solar all over the shop...(and they said Solar Lights for the Rail Lands too-Ed)...orrr no, I'd forgotten that, why did you have to remind me? yes, more bloody solar lights for the Rail Lands...(and the Lady Nelson-Ed)...yeah, yeah, and the Main Corner and everywhere else I'm sure...
And a long interview with a Council rep (name? sorry) on the ABC Radio this morning explaining exactly this sudden rush to chuck solar panels on everything starting with the Library, is that panels/systems now cost 1/3 of what they did in 2010...(so when the Library was built? sounds like a lame excuse to explain away why Council didn't just do this when the building was first done, which is the question being asked about town-Ed)...yeah, whatevs...apparently the proposed panels will only provide 1/4 of the Library's power needs, but what they'd get would be free power after 5 years...he then went on to discuss the lights around the Blue Lake and on the Rail Lands as well...
(Does a bottomless bucket of money have a bottomline?-Ed)...sorry, what?...(well Council spends like it has a bottomless bucket of money-Ed)...well, in their Budget last year they just doubled their borrowing capacity to pay for things they should have saved for, eg, the $2m for the Caroline Landfill...I guess in that context ratepayers are the bucket because every cent Council spends is ratepayers money...(what about government funding, grants, etc-Ed)...nah, it's all ratepayers/residents money held in trust by elected officials...
Notable By His Presence: our charming Mayor Steve Perryman continues to redefine carrying out Public Office as being an act of Public Offence, eg, his deliberately deceitful misrepresentation re the Aboriginal Flag being flown in Council Chambers, a deceit perpetrated at the opening ceremony for NAIDOC Week just gone...where others are usually notable by their absence Stevie is so notorious for not showing up for things that the Mayor should be at, that when he does show up it's noted for it's unusualness...(yeah, Mayor Perryman's comments at the meeting re the Vietnam Veteran's Day commemorations on Monday 18th August were also quite meaty-Ed)...yeah, not so much meaty as offensive and shitfully self-serving...(I'm sensing some animosity-Ed)...well sense this...
Mr Perryman has failed to attend the VV Day commemorations for so long that his presence has been remarked upon and I'd suggest very much not appreciated...nor was the presence of Councillors White, Von Stanke, and Smith, and CEO McShane...as it was put to me, nobody's fooled by this sudden show of alleged respect given the failure to show up previously, and it's already been identified specifically to me and dismissed as being a crass political stunt, an act of opportunism so lacking in genuine respect as to be offensive in the extreme...more tomorrow...
And it will come as no surprise that I completely reject 'this weeks' Sow Strayan Child Abuse Royal Commission as yet another farcical plank in a raft of fake Inquiries that are always about gathering and suppressing evidence and covering-up abuses and the Pro-Paedophile nature/conduct of the South Australian Parliament, Police, and Judiciary...these are the three official arms of governance and society, so when we exist in a society that has Institutionalised Pro-Paedophile Corruption underpinning everything that happens, these are the clowns responsible...(more like a 3 ring circus really-Ed)...quite.
Said it before, I'll say it again...(saying it right now in fact-Ed)...indeed...that I'd be more than furious to happily tear each of these shreckers a metaphoric new one via a Court, but the only Court they'll let me near is one where I'm on trial for merely talking about the rank corruption of SA as personified/ institutionalised in the crassly corrupt form/formation of the Banana Lord...(or one where you're on charges for whatevs SAPol and/or the DPP feels like-Ed)...well, quite...
Yet another situation where my paranoia and cynicism, this time about the likelihood of false charges being used to 'just get me' because the Banana Lord stuff is so unworkably farcical, that this makes the actual reality worse than my paranoia...(there's no other solution for it, you're just going to have to get more paranoid and cynical-Ed)...
More Breaking Wind News: the CERES 197 Wind Turbine project was only approved in February 2014 but developer Suzon is now whinging about how the Federal Liberal's review of the Renewable Energy Targets is threatening the viability of their proposed bastardisation of the Yorke Peninsula...(chuck a massive Copper mine near Ardrossan onto that heap of socio-economic, panic stations, Adelaide-centric ideology-Ed)...quite...and Suzon reckon that scrapping Renewable Energy Targets isn't the solution, but I reckon it's just further evidence of how un-viable Turbines are without massive subsidies.
So much more to cover re Council meeting so some more,
Tomorrow: SSG CCSTL - My Back Causes Affront
I hope because that's what was intended if not premeditated...(yeah, I was gunna' say what happened about the leaving the meeting but not actually leaving thingy, how's that done then?-Ed)...well you sort of leave and then sort of stop and then just sort of end up just sort of standing there with your back sort of to the Mayor, the CEO, et al...(I'm sort of with you, but sort of not-Ed)...
Council, specifically CEO Mark McShane...(ah, Mighty Mark McShenanigans-Ed)...that be he...he was/they were getting stuck into a thick slice of self-congratulation re their Motion Without Notice re their Lifelong Learning Sub-Committee...(uh-oh-Ed)...the LLSC Mt Gambier Charter for Children...(shazzam...and does it say 'it takes a village to raise a child'?-Ed)...close Ed, "Our community is a village...Our children are loved, respected, safe and free to be...."...(wow, no wonder you walked out, sort of...I still don't get that-Ed)...I'll explain tomorrow...
I am Nick Fletcher and this is my blog...cheers and laters...

ASOWSVI - Part Wherever We're Up To Now
Hello and welcome to the blog Taiwan, Poland, Russia, and Brazil...welcome all to the blog...I can only apologise and/or beg forebearance for yesterday's post which perhaps would have been perhaps best left until today...(it was a bit crap-Ed)...anyhoos, we're in today now and what a day...
Groundhog Day: is an hilarious film, but it ain't so funny when it's a way of life...and so began my day yet again with some sweet bloggin', but I can't even get started before the radio news is reporting the Court hearing yesterday of the 31 year old man charged with 5 counts of Unlawful Sexual Intercourse related to his work in 2012 as a South East high school counsellor...since 2012 he has also worked in support (counselling?) services at a local primary school and casual youth worker with Families SA, and prior to 2012 in other local high schools...
(Isn't this what happened yesterday?...you got up, tuned into the world, and bang! first cab off the rank Institutionalised Pro-Paedophile Corruption rank that defines South Australia, was the Tarpeena Child Pornography/Abuse case where SAPol didn't charge the people for 2 years after seizing their laptops, etc, leaving the abused toddler with the couple?-Ed)...yep, that's exactly what happened...and lately it's just unavoidable as just about everyday it's some new Child Abuse case in SA, probably directly linked to Families SA, hooray...
(Have you tried switching off the medias for a while?-Ed)...yeah, didn't work, I just switched it back on again...(clever-Ed)...not really...and please find attached some of said media as per posts last week...if you've read this already, please make yourselves a cuppa' and we'll meet back here in, say, 5, yeah?...(well I've got a coupla' quick calls to make, but yeah I can do 5-Ed)...
......(whatta' ya' waiting for?-Ed)...they're not back yet, ah no wait, here they are now...hey y'all, there's just so much going on on this page but I'll try to be brief...the Peter Humphries stuff is easiest so I'll start there...(easiest? that entire letter is a hypocrisy stained piece of self-promotional propaganda designed to position Mr Humphries as far as possible from the reality of his own actions-Ed)...exactly, done...(oh yeah-Ed)...
My personal experience of Mr Humphries and his complicit involvement in the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up is that it's he whom is responsible for "another sad and distressing chapter in our State's history"...it is my experience that Mr Humphries is a 'ducker and weaver'...(a complete 'ducker'-Ed)...indeed...he is a specific, critical player in the St Martins Cover-up.
I'll re-write the last paragraph again because it is the crowning hypocrisy in the whole piece...Mr Humphries is personally responsible for creating the exact opposite of what he claims is appropriate:
"...remote possibility of a future oversight.
That, when a complaint is made, appropriate action is taken and processes are followed,
that parents, often frightened and vulnerable themselves, are treated with dignity and respect
and offered the support they need and deserve."
(Fine words indeed from a man explicitly involved in undermining appropriate action re St Martins by manipulating and betraying vulnerable parents he had frightened into capitulating and withdrawing-Ed)...indeed...he is one of the crew, through and through...if he is the solution then the solution is as clear as mud.
The line 'Vanished - abuse evidence missing' refers to the workplace logbook where-in a Families SA worker had noted concerns about their fellow worker who is currently on multiple charges of Child Sexual Assault, Producing Child Pornography, etc...this is a critical piece of evidence amongst several, including other reports/complaints and even an investigation/review about a year ago...
The Tourism Taskforce is a gross manipulation of the agenda by people who have been the problem for 20 years and still clearly are...Rory McEwen is a plague personified on South Australians and is one of the key players in the St Martins Cover-up, and not far behind him Steve Perryman, on both counts...Biddie Shearing as RDA Tourism Officer gave Kent Bromley of The Barn $140,000 in one Regional Development Australia grant...when the Old Gaol was originally leased out a few years back (2010?) by Council for backpacker accommodation the winning leasee was not even in the tender process...I don't know whether James Stephenson was involved in that process...
(That tender process has a lot of similarities with the Bill DeGaris purchase of the iconic old SERDE building on Penola Rd-Ed)...are you suggesting that Council conducted a faux tender process for appearances sake before handing the Old Gaol off to a mate/relative/whatevs in much the same way that SERDE pretended to do an appropriate tender process and then slid off and sold it to their mate Bill DeGaris...who is also a critical player in the St Martins Cover-up...(is that a question?-Ed)...
(You know, some days it feels like you can't turn around in this charming town without running into a senior public official complicit in the St Martins Cover-up-Ed)...indeed...for example, this mornings ABC Radio report re the Men's Suicide Support group that's being formed, an unfortunately necessary development, but that interview involved Mt Gambier SAPol's Supt Twilley and Wattle Range Mayor Peter Gandolfi...SAPol is SAPol and Gandolfi is intimately aware of the many issues re St Martins because I and another parent met with him when he was Liberal candidate in early 2006...
Here's an idea fellas, how's about instead of covering-up the gross abuse of young children, as you have with St Martins, how's about you address the institutionalised abuse being visited on our young children across the state, and therefore prevent the lifelong psychological trauma to those children and their families...
I note with the Tourism thingy that the Chamber of Commerce's Lynette Martin was repeatedly referenced by Steve Perryman in his ABC Radio interview (back Tuesday 12th August I think it was) as being part of the 8 member group, but she doesn't get a guernsey in this article from the next days The Border Watch...don't know what's happened there sorry...
Draconian Fiscal Tightening: is what we don't need according to Glenn Stevens, Governor of the Reserve Bank, which is in itself I think a reasonable commentary on the current proposed Federal Budget...(oh, I thought DFT was some advanced pelvic floor yoga move...I've been nnnghughnn clenching and ahhhh unclenching and nnnghughnn-Ed)...yeah ok thanks, indeed, moving on to...
Tomorrow: A Full Post Re the Council Meeting
And the story of a large, angry hippy whom went the old silent treatment purely by happenstance not design when Council last night went for a stroll through the village...(whaaa?-Ed)...Council started banging on about their shreckin' Children's Charter...(ahhh, the 'it takes a village to raise a child' bollocks-Ed)...exactly...and I went to leave and the rest you'll have to read about tomorrow...
I am Nick Fletcher and this is my blog...cheers and laters...
