Hey y'all and welcome to the blog and some revisionary bits and pieces to tidy up stuff that has gone before, in a post started at 0600hrs if not finished until whenevs it's actually posted or there's about...(so at the beginning of the day, we're going backwards-Ed)...exactly...(not forward-Ed)...nooo...(not at the end of the day-Ed)...nooo...(then why the title?-Ed)...because I find these 2 very annoying catchphrases frequently bobbing up in my day.
Bike Lanes/Traffic Island: were causing their usual chaos when I went along Penola Rd yesterday (several times)...why is there no turning lane into Hungry Jacks?...(and how in heck was burger barn McDonalds allowed on that Jubilee Hwy/Penola Rd corner, completely compromising traffic flow around that very major Round-about?-Ed)...dunno Ed, dunno, it happened (20years ago?) before I moved to Mt Gambier, but given what I've witnessed of Mt Gambier City Councillors and their 'Planning and Development' practices, I'd assume that it was a Councillor's brother or mother or brother's mother's primary school Netball coach's sister's wife-in-law...
This is not an 'accusation' or a 'complaint' or whatevs, I don't know this and I don't know the McDonalds people here, quite frankly I don't care, this is not a statement about them...it is a statement about the conduct of Council and the undeniable fact that it's atrocious planning to have a Macca's In-Drive only 30 feet from the intersection...and 70m(?) further up on the opposite side a Hungry Jacks that doesn't get a lane at all...ludicrously poor planning...indeed, was there any at all beyond slapping it onto a page in an office in Adelaide and saying 'cop that Mt Gambier'...
Totally hilarious that I was through there several times and only saw 2 bikes, outside 'bike lane hours', and both were on the nice wide footpaths that could easily be shared by cyclists and pedestrians...that aside, the painted island is a disaster waiting to happen, truly may I be wrong...
The blog clicked past 50,000 'views' early last week and I forgot to mention it...thanking you all for your ongoing patronage...I am very buoyed by the fact that some people don't particularly like the way I go about ma' business, the language can be a bit fruity and/or meaty for some, etc, but 1) they are more concerned about the welfare of their community than my moanful jokage and venting renting of the English language, whilst 2) accepting that for all my faults and failings I'm not making this shizzle up...
To that end, I'm not going to re-visit and re-edit this post as I usually do (*actually I did, sort of), do most of it early, leave sit for the day, come back later and take out the expletives, etc, hence...Language Warning: today I'm going to show you what goes on in my head when I write this Shit day in day out watching these f***ing bastards abuse and rape our children with regimented regularity and official Parliamentary support, whilst we all do a little jig around the farcical conscience-washing of the Royal Commission and 'tough new Mandatory Notification laws'...(go you good thing-Ed)...
Just For You Rory: you f***ing paedophile protecting f***...for all of your lies and your threats and your rank pro-paedophile corruption, for all of the pain and suffering you have sold us out to, for all of the children who have been raped and abused because you acted corruptly to knowingly protect a "text-book grooming paedophile" (Lutheran teacher Glyn Dorling) and defend and perpetuate the Child Rape state that is South Australia ...and I don't give a f*** what's happening in the rest of the world, this is what's happening right here, right now, a reality that the Child Abuse Royal Commission is clearly avoiding at all costs...the CARC is a nasty, cynical, manipulative joke.
It is absolutely appropriate to draw a line straight from Rory McEwen to the Rape and Sexual Assault of those 5 girls, aged 8/9, at the Western Suburbs School and the actions of the Education Dept and Labor Party in seeking to cover it up...had the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up been resolved in 2002/03, then all of the gaping holes in accountability, etc, would have been addressed, a deliberate failure that allowed the WSS Cover-up...
I can't tell you how much this means to me...(but you're going to try anyway-Ed)...but as far as I'm concerned, this whole situation is a screaming indictment of all involved...what does it say about our elected State and Local Government officials, our police, our alleged Child Protection Authorities...(our media-Ed)...our bloody media...what does it say about all of these people, who they are and what they've done, when it's the broken, angry old f***-up who has the credibility...what does that say about the rest of you?...
And if you don't want to be lobbed into the same Corrupt Paedophile Protector basket as our illustrious Premier Jay Weatherill, his predecessor Mike Rann, Rory McEwen, our current Mayor Steve Perryman, et al, then all you have to do is have the intestinal fortitude to harden-the f***-up and do something about it...having said that, I appreciate that there are many people availing themselves of the blog who would feel and/or are simply unable to do something about this...nobody blames you, but there are many people in official positions who should hang their heads in shame.
And I don't have Jesus delusions or anything stupid like that...(well then I'd lose that 'Nail-Me Up' Beardy thingy you got goin' on-Ed)...fair enough, shave time, but when I hear Attorney General John Rau on the ABC again today talking about tough new laws to block "publishing" material without a Court's permission, I hear yet more rank Fascism and a word that has featured frequently in my life recently, particularly when it comes to the alleged charges I'm apparently going to face, "publishing"...it's all about shutting down the relative freedom of the Interweb to shut-up people like me...
The Walnut Anvil Metaphor: is admittedly a bit confusing, but then I'm not sure even where to place myself in it...in various posts I've referred to myself as 'a Nut', and/or being apparently 'from the Walnut Tree', and/or being 'not the sharpest tool in the shed, but possibly the anvil', etc, and have then combined this with the saying 'Using a sledgehammer to break a Walnut' as an apt description for the SAPol Raid of my home, a raid that happened now 8 weeks ago...today, 8 weeks today...
And I've had to go to them what I can't name, the official State authority that I can't name, via a lawyer, asking for them to explain what it is exactly I've apparently done to them, about them, against them, whatevs, that has given them cause to send/organise to send/whatevs the 2 SAPol Anti-Corruption Branch detectives to my home with a Search Warrant to seize the laptop, etc...write and ask The Un-nameable Authority that it be explained what I've done, am I going to be charged? can I have me laptop back?...(not that it'll be usable-Ed)...indeed...
I'd like to thank new Liberal Member for Mt Gambier Troy Bell for the informal investigation of this matter that he has conducted...I leave it for Mr Bell to explain exactly what he did, who he spoke to, etc, but I understand it did include Attorney General John Rau...and for the record, yes I do believe that Mr Bell has made these inquiries and (I paraphrase) 'nobody knows anything about it, how it should proceed, etc, and therefore no-one's prepared to offer any solid advice'... therefore, he ain't got squat...and he's our local Member...
In conclusion, I don't know whether I'm the Anvil or just a Walnut sitting on one...(or a Walnut-shaped Anvil-Ed)...indeed, but there's been an undeniable effort to go the Walnut, with a Sledghammer, and instead they've struck Anvil...and if you've ever mis-hit with a sledgehammer, or even with an ordinary hammer, you'll know there's Percussive Repercussions as the energy waves surge back through your hands, wrists, fore-arms, etc...hit an Anvil with a Sledgie and I reckon you'd break bones in your hands...ouch...
So it is that I describe the situation that I find myself in, at the epicentre of the maelstrom as the Percussive Repercussions work there way back whence they came.
Renewable Energy Targets: at the end of the day Solar is the best option...(what, when the sun goes down?-Ed)...supplemented with Geothermal for 24hr production...that doesn't stop RETs being a farcical blue-sky ideology that I'd fully support if only it wasn't laden with the corruption and dysfunction of the ridiculous system we currently have...and I'm absolutely sick of the relentless pro-government, pro-Wind Turbine bias spewing out of the ABC...they've given up any illusion of offering balanced information founded on fact, pro-Turbine propaganda is getting spewed through the ABC completely unchallenged...I don't know whether others have also been blocked and/or given up trying to rectify the relentless lies re Turbines.
(And the Greens want farmers to have the right to veto Mining development on/under their land, but when it comes to those stupidly uneconomical, massively subsidised Wind Turbines, farmers and other Regional/Rural residents should just shut-up and wear having those massive Industrial structures dumped on their communities, completely denied any opportunity to oppose due to the dictionary definition Fascism of SA's Wind Turbine legislation?-Ed)...beautifully put Ed, that's exactly right...
And I explained these issues, particularly the legislative Fascism and the rank lies about 'Appeal/redress via the Courts', etc, to the Greens Mr Mark Parnell, and I understand he's had it explained it to him several times now, yet he continues to go into the media spruiking Court Appeals as being available and an appropriate restriction on inappropriate development...he knows otherwise but it doesn't suit his agenda...however genuine he might be with his intent, it's deceit.
Costumers Delighted By Singing Cobbler: was the ticker thingy on a morning show earlier...I believe it was meant to say 'Customers'...also heard a bunch of numbers re Labor Forestry Investment Fund but they didn't match the numbers I recently saw...close but not the same...also it was announced that Medicare covering Nursing services was going to get axed as part of the Federal Budget, but 3 days later (today) was completely withdrawn...the 24hr news cycle unfortunately breeds mistake and misinformation.
