Hello Italy, Colombia, Hong Kong, and especially today to Palestine, Sudan, Nigeria, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan...and terrible news that a Malaysian Airlines plane has crashed in Ukraine after disintegrating in mid-air, and reports are that it was shot down by 'Separatist' rebels aligned to Russia...and if so it's not the first airliner bought down 'accidentally', eg, the US Navy shot down an Iranian Airliner in 1988, and allegedly one of their own airliners just off Long Island in 1996...
There are also reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin was flying over the area or was scheduled to, on returning from Brazil...has the Ukrainian government had a go at what they thought was Putin's plane and instead hit this plane?...it is alleged that's what happened in June 1980 when a French fighter jet went after what was thought to be then Libyan leader Gaddafi, but instead shot down an Italian airliner...I theorise, but this seems unlikely given that the plane was hit over 'Separatist' territory in Eastern Ukraine and there are reports that an Anti-Aircraft Missile unit was detected tracking the plane...
Claim and counter-claim are already flying given that the technology/missile involved allegedly must have come from Russia, and/or may have been accidentally fired by people who didn't know what they're doing...allegedly Separatists radio communications have been heard saying that they have just hit a passenger plane...(what the forget is wrong with people man?-Ed)...you tell me Ed, you tell me...another massive explosion in Afghanistan has killed 90 people and badly injured many more, and that horrendous act of mass-murder is just ticker-fodder for TV News services...and not entirely the media's fault when there are hundreds killed in another air accident that itself may well be murder...'cause that's what it looks like whoever fired...and currently being reported that there are 25-27 Australian passengers...

There are what appear fairly 'mainstream' sites, check out for example Topix-Mt Gambier...Limestone Coast News is also a good local site, somewhat more mainstream than this here blog of mine, more 'Facebooky', less confrontational than I often end up being...(we end up being-Ed)...sorry, of course, we...but hey, we can't all be chimps like me...I said 'chimps like me'...hey stop that...(sorry, couldn't help myself, I'll change it back...'champs like you'...there you go, you're a chimp, I mean champ-Ed)...

It is not misrepresenting the truth in any way to state that we are fully owned by the Royal family...and that truth lives at Yarralumla, the Governor General's official residence...and that truth was taken for a short stroll on a very short leash in 1975 when GG John 'Corgi' Kerr sacked the elected Labor government under Gough Whitlam, and handed Oz to Malcolm Fraser's Liberals...the only counter to this would be some stuff I've read about Australia being 'Officially Privatised' some years ago, essentially to expedite the massive Foreign Ownership of great swathes of Oz, as currently underway...

I know I keep bangin' on about the ABC interview with Labor Forestry Minister Leon Bignell, but right there's a perfect example of what's going so drastically wrong with the ABC in the South East...it's a 95% pantomime where the ABC covers itself by asking the relatively probing questions that everyone else is and/or wants asking, but never holding the respondent to account...(well Adelaide's not much better-Ed)...yeah, fair point...and my point again is that the ABC is a critical medium that has a massive responsibility that must be executed with absolute objectivity...(and unfortunately they don't-Ed)...no, they don't...
Just For The Record: I have very specific issues with the ABC, and they're well documented in this here blog, but this stuff about how completely Lefty/Socialist biased they are seems a little exaggerated given that I've had my finer sensibilities assaulted by the likes of Rabid Right Wingers Gerard Henderson, Janet Albrechtson (now on the ABC Review Panel), and Tim Wilson (now Human Rights Commissioner), etc, because they've had extensive exposure on the ABC...(good point-Ed)...the truth often is...but I digress...
Leon was repeatedly asked about why so many logs are being harvested and exported via Portland and who's monitoring 141 Plantations, what they're taking, how much, etc...throughout he repeatedly claimed he didn't know basic figures directly related to his Forestry Portfolio, but made the ridiculous assertion that the logs are all too big for local mills to use but that they could use them in China...(what a load of crap-Ed)...and that 'everyone's keeping an eye on them (141P)'...(who's 'everyone'?-Ed)...exactly...
And right there is the 5%...same with the Fire Protection issue, and the Forestry Jobs Fund, and especially about the 300 jobs allegedly created by the two thirds of the $28m FJF that has been allocated...the next question is, "yeah, but who's everyone?" and it wasn't asked...Leon stated that 300 jobs had been created, quoting '15-20 jobs and another shift at McDonnell's Mill' as evidence...the point was made 'they're only one company'...(95%-Ed)...and Leon says 'there are others', and then the discussion just moved on...(again, who? hello 5%?-Ed)...yep, the question wasn't asked...
And it's not just me who picked up the pro-Council agenda in the Rail Lands Vox Pop the ABC did earlier this week...(that was a farcical nonsense-Ed)...in the exact template of the pro-Wind Turbine Propaganda stuff as covered in previous posts...brief alleged messages read out criticising the Palm trees and/or waste of money, etc, but long defending messages read out, eg, re not using native plants, 'I grew native plants and they just went into all weird shapes, I much prefer dead sticks and Palm trees and straight shreckin' lines and'...(nah ah, come on, the first bit's true but you made up the rest-Ed)...I know, but you get the idea...
Finally found The Border Watch article re the Lottery win from April 29th 2014...it was in the 'used' pile being alongside the story about SAPol seizing a Tarpeena couples computer re Child Porn, taking 2 years to look at it, then 'realising' that the child involved in the porn was the couple's, who had been with them still for that 2 years...(mind-boggling-Ed)...anyhoos, the article says 'a woman bought the ticket for her son on his 40th birthday', and he says "I don't have a lot, so I'm going to buy a car"...etc...which is in part several of the rumours/allegations I've heard...
Apologies that I have to be so vague so as not to identify who has said what to me, but as I understand it, there is a version of events allegedly emanating from the Perryman's that was something along these lines, his mum bought the ticket for him, but this has immediately been countered with the observation that it's all bollocks and an attempted explanation for inexplicable wealth, and that Steve can't say it was him because everyone would recognise his face...lord knows, but again Mayor Perryman needs to address this rumour...I can only say that I'm not trying to gee up anyone, it's stuff being brought to me.
Given that he's a political newby, in Opposition, it is understandable that Liberal Member Troy Bell might be very, very busy, but there were concerning reports when I was researching the Leon Bignell Flying Photo Forget-up stuff, that he (Troy) has been noticeable by his absence also at the Blue Lake Tours thingy and other Tourism thingies (again apols I have to be super vague to protect sources)...Mr Bell does seem to be having lots of meetings with Labor, etc, and did have a Tourism meeting thing here last week with Mr Bignell...again, I don't know specifically, just reporting what I'm told.
Apparently Canada has stopped contributing to Commonwealth Secretariat fund whilst/because the Sri Lankan government has the Chair, but PM Tony Abbott has completely defended the them, talking about the "vicious" conflict that tore the country apart for 30 years, claiming that the Tamil Tiger 'Separatists' invented suicide bombing, and that Sri Lanka is now a safe country "at peace"...which conflicts directly with multiple reports of government sanctioned/organised religious intolerance, and persecution, and oppression and physical abuses, torture, etc...
This was in relation to us, Australia, recently handing 40+ Sri Lankan Asylum Seekers/Refugees straight back to the SL government, whilst currently holding 150 more on an Oz vessel prior to handing them back as well...and Tony's response was the usual "not give a running commentary" on what is his "settled policy" and that 'there's no harm to people in our charge'', etc...(geez, when it suits them, the Liberals trot out all sorts of facts and figures re 'Stop The Boats', but when the news ain't so great for them personally, it's all this 'Operational Secrecy' bullshit-Ed)...indeed...
