Also, because I've included a long article from The Border Watch re Mental Health Services in Mt Gambier, a relatively short post...this article supports my recent claim that people are being advised to seek help in Victoria, and is too long to critique and seems very well researched, quite accurate to my limited knowledge, and very well written...cheers...back to the front...
Grist For The Mill: Mr Bignell repeatedly references 'NF McDonnell and Sons Timber Mill'...(5 or 6 times-Ed)...indeed...talking about what great work they've done in expanding their Suttontown Rd Mill and employing a further 15-20 people, putting on another shift, etc...I note that a Mr Gordon Bignell is McDonnell's Secretary, but I don't know if he's any relation...anyhoos, these references were in response to questions about what Labor has done re Forestry SA job losses, Labor's $28million Forestry Job Fund, etc, etc.
Over and over about how great McDonnells are, amid claims that the $18m approx of the FJF had created 300 jobs, and when asked where are those jobs, Neon Leon referenced McDonnell's '15-20 jobs', and Stan says 'but that's only one company', to which Bignell replies 'there are others', but didn't name one...(not one? who the hell are these 'other companies' that have allegedly employed 280 people? what did he say when asked?-Ed)...he wasn't asked, that's what I mean about these 'Dorothy Dixer' bloody interviews...
The next question should have been, 'who are these companies?, where are those jobs?...(that's 2 questions, but I take your point, Leon was asked supposedly tough questions that were actually just set-ups for prepared propaganda laden with the sort of deceit that Leon 'Put Your Family First' Bignell is famous for-Ed)...Mr Bignell claims that 141 Plantations have informed him that the massive spike in log exports via Portland were 'logs too big for local mills', but that these were perfect for the rapidly growing Chinese market...2 things, he's admitting that Labor has sold off the SE Forestry Estate whilst demand in Asia is growing, and that he gets his info from 141P who are the ones profiting from the log harvesting and export...more tomorrow...
The interview about the collapse of Mental Health and Drug/Alcohol Counselling Services is also available on the same ABC site, the Friday 11th I think it is, whatevs, it's in the summary thingy...another one today about Country Health SA renting 6 houses in Mt Gambier and 6 in Whyalla...(this isn't the same Support Services stuff that was just shut-down at Yahl, y'all?-Ed)...trust you to bloody think of that, but I don't know...today there were claims that this 6 house/10 resident 24/7 service for helping 'recovering' Mental Health patients learn how to be self-sufficient, run a household, etc, has already recruited it's 15 new staff, to apparently go with the alleged "27 people" already providing Mental Health Services in the SE...
(27 people already? and 15 more? are you sure, because that's just ridiculously not true-Ed)...don't know, it was yet another Labor government driven claim in an ABC interview that just went unchallenged and/or unresolved...it was probably true if you include the FIFO staff, phone operators, etc, you know the way they do...former Labor Health Minister John Hill was a classic for saying 'Mt Gambier Hospital has...' and then reeling off a long list of services, and would conclude, 'at Mt Gambier and other hospitals'...go from a statement to a lie to the disclaimer in 1 sentence...classic...
I'm In Unsupported Supported Housing: in so much as I am on the Disability Support Pension and in a Housing Trust home, but that's it...haven't been to a 'Counsellor appointment' in 3 months and I ain't heard squat, not even a 'hey, where are you dude?'...around me I'm watching Mental Health and Drug/Alcohol Services, etc, falling apart whilst listening to these glowing endorsements of services that I am not aware do and/or will exist...
Now I'd hope that no-one would deny me the singular glory of being arguably the most hated person in Mt Gambier's political history, albeit that I've never been elected to anything, and the Haters...(orrr, don't listen to the Haters man, you're beautiful...in a large, hairy kinda' brutally ugly Man-Bear Stuff-Pig kinda' way...sortta'...love ya' man-Ed)...no no, too much praise surely...but the Haters do me the greatest honour by confirming for me my position by conferring on me their condemnation...
