Jommy Tee And Michael West Expose Scott Morrison's Lies About Getting Sacked From Tourism Australia

Howdy dear availees...welcome to a cut-'n'-paste catch-up post about the pathological liar we have the honour of calling our Prime Minister, good ol' Scott 'Scummo' Morrison...as I've previously indicated, I am a huge fanboy of Jommy Tee and Michael West Media, and here again is a fantastically researched piece that quite literally paints Scummo into a corner...I did read but forgot to save (sorry) another great piece by someone who claimed to have worked with Scummo in Tourism, and they made the observation that 'one very quickly learned that when dealing with Morrison that he always lied, always, and even on the most trivial things, because he seemed to delight in that sense of having deceived you and therefore supposedly having something over you'...this is my paraphrase, but it's damn close to a quote of what was actually written...

 

I did save the clip from Senate Estimates referred to in this article below, but I can't find it...it shows Scummo doing the fake lean-in, that smug sneer on his ugly mug, pretending not to hear the original question, feigning confusion and ignorance about the mystery audit report's (then) current status/existence, clearly scrambling to remember his rehearsed lies, and then spewing them onto the public record...so obviously, patently lying...as covered here, now it appears proven what most people believed at the time, that that audit report never existed, or far less likely, that literally everyone involved has lost it...mucho kudos to JT and MWM, yet again exposing the Scummo/LNP's corruption, and showing-up Australia's pathetic Main Stream Media for the spineless sycophantic, pro-LNP courtiers they are...enjoy...***

THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN THE SACKING OF MORRISON FROM TOURISM AUSTRALIA ( Source Jommy Tee and Michael West Media)

For 14 years the reason for the sacking has remained one of the best kept secrets in Parliament.

Now, FOI documents accessed by Jommy Tee reveal the PM either lied about a critical probity report, or numerous government departments and agencies are so incompetent that all of them – together, coincidentally, jointly and severally – lost it.

For 14 years the reason for the sacking has remained one of the best kept secrets in Parliament, with the Liberal tourism minister at the time, Fran Bailey, never revealing what led to the sacking of the man who went on to become Prime Minister of Australia.

There has been considerable conjecture, but it is clear that the lack of transparency and accountability surrounding the $180 million tourism campaign – the oft-ridiculed “So where the bloody hell are you?” – and the awarding of a contract to M&C Saatchi played a key part.

The campaign’s tender process was heavily criticised by the advertising industry, with players bemoaning that the tender criteria were skewed towards a particular agency.

Following repeated calls by the opposition for more probity, word leaked to the media that KPMG had been called in to conduct a “probity audit”. The Age declared that KPMG had been hauled in to “give an impression that the selection criteria is kosher”.

No media release announcing KPMG’s appointment as probity auditor exists in the archived websites of Tourism Australia, the department of industry, and that of the minister, Fran Bailey.

 

However, the plot has thickened considerably with FoI documents obtained this week by Michael West Media revealing that the probity report supposedly conducted by KPMG, a report that Scott Morrison repeatedly used to shield himself from attacks over the awarding of the $180 million contracts, cannot be found anywhere.

 

Moreover, Tourism Australia was unable to find any emails, briefings or tender documentation associated with a probity audit into the M&C Saatchi contract.

What Morrison told the Senate.

Morrison, in his role as managing director of Tourism Australia, told Senate estimates on 2 November 2005 that the KPMG probity audit was “an internal document that has been provided to our Board. I am sure there are the usual provisions for making requests for those types of documents”.

Morrison said he would take on notice the request to provide the report – subsequently, he said that the “report is considered commercial in confidence”.

The same month, the Senate committee looking into government advertising also requested Tourism Australia table the KPMG report.

 

Tourism Australia on 25 November 2005 responded: “Tourism Australia requested internal auditors, KPMG, to undertake a review of the tender evaluation process to assist the Board with their review of the recommendation to be received from management.

The report is considered to be commercial in confidence.”

Michael West Media contacted KPMG and numerous government agencies to hunt down the mysterious probity report, but it simply cannot be found.

This leaves us with two possibilities.

1. Numerous government agencies and departmental officials either misplaced, lost, misfiled or destroyed this key document associated with the $180 million advertising spend of taxpayers’ money;

or

2. The document never existed and Scott Morrison concocted its existence, thereby lying to Senate estimates and a Senate inquiry – more than justifiable grounds to explain his shock sacking.

The search for the probity report.

KPMG advised Michael West Media that it did not comment on “client deliverables”.

However, it added: “This reference goes back many years and while we can confirm we have provided services to Tourism Australia, we cannot confirm we completed the report.”

KPMG advised Michael West Media to approach Tourism Australia.

Michael West Media then lodged numerous freedom of information (FoI) requests with government departments seeking access to the probity report.

Tourism Australia.

Tourism Australia advised that no probity audit document could be located. The agency advised it was “satisfied that there were no documents within the scope of your request in the possession of Tourism Australia”.

Tourism Australia even contacted the National Archives of Australia, which confirmed that no such document existed in its archives.

A subsequent FoI seeking all briefings, emails and tender documentation associated with the probity audit drew further blanks. The only records that Tourism Australia found dealt with KPMG’s appointment in February 2005 as Tourism Australia’s internal auditors for a 12-month period, and that the board of Tourism Australia was informed of the appointment in April 2005.

Department of Industry.

The industry department, after a thorough search, refused our FoI request on the basis that document could not be found.

 

The Minister puts her foot down.

The M&C Saatchi contract term was for three years but it had to be reviewed annually.

Tourism Australia’s tender process fell behind schedule, meaning that by the time it was finalised, the minister, Fran Bailey, was virtually shoe-horned into signing off on the first tranche of the contract. If she had not done so, Tourism Australia would have had no international marketing presence in 2005-06.

Due to the significant criticism surrounding the awarding of the contract, Bailey demanded greater accountability for the second tranche of negotiations. She wrote a blistering letter to Tourism Australia on 29 June 2006 seeking reassurance and copies of any internal assessments:

“I need to be reassured that the taxpayer is receiving value for money with these substantial investments.

I understand that an internal evaluation of performance is under way at the moment, but will not be complete until mid-July.

I also understand that no independent evaluation has yet been undertaken.

In order for me to make a properly informed decision on these contracts for the full 2006-07 financial year, I request Tourism Australia provide me, by 31 August 2006, with:

* a fully completed internal assessment of the 2005-06 contracts with M&C Saatchi and Carat;

* an assessment completed by an independent expert on whether or not the creative and media buying activities for 2005-06 represented value for money; and

* detail of mechanisms instituted by Tourism Australia to manage the contract for 2006-07 – particularly how Tourism Australia will ensure that purchases made by M&C Saatchi and Carat represent value for the taxpayer’s dollar.”

Given that Bailey wanted the independent evaluations within two months it came as a surprise when four weeks later, Tim Fischer, Tourism Australia’s chairman, announced on 26 July that Morrison would be departing the organisation, having been sacked.

National audit confirms the document never was.

The tender process of the $180 million advertising contract was the subject of eight internal and external reviews, including one conducted by the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) in 2008 – three years after the contracts were awarded and two years after Morrison was sacked.

The audit did not reference the KPMG probity report and indeed the ANAO found that no probity adviser was engaged for the creative development and media procurements (successful bidders: M&C Saatchi and Carat respectively).

Tourism Australia told the ANAO that “no probity inquiries were undertaken for these procurements” as part of the request for tender process.

As part of the evaluation process for the tender the ANAO states a probity adviser was appointed, following intervention by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. Bailey had raised her concerns about the tender process with DPM&C. However the role was filled internally, by a Tourism Australia manager, and not an arms-length organisation.

The ANAO was highly critical and scathing of the tender process run by Tourism Australia when Scott Morrison was in charge, finding among other things:

* a lack of transparency in evaluating tenders;

* a lack of performance information to evaluate the effectiveness of the campaign; and

* the board not adhering to conflict of interest procedures.

Morrison’s KPMG connections.

The national audit office’s concerns over conflicts of interest appear valid as the engagement of KPMG represented a significant potential conflict of interest for both Scott Morrison and the deputy chairman of the Tourism Australia board, Tony Clark.

Morrison had a short-lived stint in 2000 at KPMG Consulting, although this is not listed on his parliamentary biography, but archived internet records show that he worked for KPMG’s tourism and leisure division.

Tony Clark was KPMG’s long-time NSW managing partner (he stepped down in 1998). Clark was simultaneously serving as deputy chairman at Tourism Australia, a position he had long held at TA and its predecessor the Australian Tourist Commission.

Clark also headed up the Tourism Australia’s audit committee, which FoI documents reveal made the decision to appoint KPMG as Tourism Australia’s internal auditors in February 2005.

Carbon copy criticism.

What the national audit office found was a carbon copy of the criticism that a 1999 New Zealand audit report had levelled at Scott Morrison when he was head of NZ’s Office of Tourism and Sport.

 

Morrison had moved to NZ in 1998, reporting directly to the NZ tourism minister, as the inaugural director of the office. The NZ minister, Murray McCully, and Morrison were locked in a power struggle with the independent NZ Tourism Board.

The NZ audit office report devoted a whole chapter to Morrison’s deceptive behaviour, which involved changing the focus of a consultant’s review to align it with Morrison’s political agenda and without conferring with the board or his minister.

Morrison mysteriously departed the NZ Office of Tourism and Sport one year before the end of his contract term.

Morrison’s disdain for transparency and the shirking of accountability, so evident during his tenure at Tourism Australia, persists to this day, with his continual deflecting and “move along, nothing to see here” attitude to journalists asking questions.

Given the importance of the KPMG report the question can surely be posed “So where the bloody hell is it?”

Again Venting My Anger And Shame About Australia Abandoning Afghanistan

Howdy dear availees, welcome to the third post about our shameful betrayal of our Afghan allies and supporters...it's been a very, very long few weeks personally, and I'll get into that later, but it's been added to and exacerbated by what we as a nation have done and/or failed to do regarding Afghanistan...the last two posts were mostly about the history of conflict and resistance in the country, and why we were there, etc, but today I want to cover the extraordinarily base, rancid, Right Wing response of insidiously crass politicisation...as per usual, Liberal/National Party Prime Minister Scott 'Scummo' Morrison has been fervently denying any failures and feverishly gaslighting about what we have and/or haven't done, and praising himself/the LNP for all of these supposed actions/achievements...also, due to the intensely confronting and serious nature of the last coupla' posts I have been deliberately leaving my confected literary device alter ego 'Ed' out of the mix...but today I'm re-introducing him 'cos he's predominantly utilised for humour/sarcasm/mocking, and this post is about sheeting-home all of the vitriolic abuse and seething disrespect I can muster for the sickly self-serving and increasingly Fascist Scummo LNP... 

I'd like to open with this stunningly accurate observation of how poisoned the political well is in Australia, where-in there is only truly one Party, the Self-Interest Party, and the rest of us are cattle, chattel, and uppity inconvenience...it's absolutely correct in pointing-out that we are responsible for who our PM is...(and that in turn reflects back on us exactly who we are, we have exactly the government we deserve 'cos we've let this happen-Ed)...indeed, 'cos regardless of the influence of the criminal Murdoch media and other complicit Main Stream Media, etc, and how that combined has allowed the LNP to lie and manipulate with absolute impunity, etc, etc, the supposedly intelligent, supposedly decent 'Democratic Australia' voted for Morrison...and so here, pinched from Twitter, this...***

Australian’s have not valued our democracy. We’ve let it be hijacked by a pack of self-centred shysters, on both sides of the isle. Scott Morrison is the logical conclusion of that process. He is the very nadir of integrity. He sees only the monetary, never the intrinsic value.

 

***A Potential Correction:...I may previously have referred to the USSR's involvement in Afghanistan in the 1980s as being 'an invasion', but it is probably more accurate to say that they were only supporting an internally-generated populist 'social democrat' coup...some argue that the USSR influenced that coup...(as the USofA is 'accused' of doing in various countries-Ed)...indeed, and my limited knowledge of global politics means I can't state definitively who did what to whom and when, but the difference between 'invasion' and 'support' is stark enough to warrant acknowledging...

 

A Fact:...we closed our Kabul embassy back in May 2021...there are numerous stories of Australian veterans trying unsuccessfully to get their former interpreters, etc, to safety in Australia, in some cases years of failed lobbying, etc...then Scummo LNP want to state that it's all a bit too difficult, and tell desperate people to go through the appropriate channels, etc...the undeniable fact is that we closed our embassy months before our military finally leaving, making any such attempts to access said alleged 'appropriate channels' massively more difficult if not impossible...(and if we had any faith that the Afghan leadership/government we had installed/supported were ever going to maintain stability, etc, why did we close our embassy entirely?-Ed)...well great point Ed, but I reckon that the obvious answer is as described above, to infinitely complicate accessing those services for visa and/or refugee applicants...

 

Now Scummo/the LNP are congratulating themselves with the announcement that 'we' will take 3,000 Afghan refugees...(but didn't Scummo recently reduce our 'yearly intake numbers' from 18,750 down to 13,750?-Ed)...yes he did...(so now we're back up to 16,750?-Ed)...a perfectly pointed rhetorical question Ed, 'cos as we both know, that 3,000 is to be counted as part of the 13,750...(so we have in effect done absolutely nothing more than the massively reduced minimum we were prior to this self-congratulatory Scummo announcement?-Ed)...spot on mate...(and if that's part of this year's 'intake', what happens next year?-Ed)...another great question, and I think Scummo covered that with his angry, lipless, sneering diatribe about 'not allowing people smugglers to trade in refugees'...(ah, Scummo weaponising refugees to promote his thuggish, bullying strongman persona, back in his happy place of lording it over those powerless to retaliate-Ed)...well, Scummo is as Scummo does, or should I say, Scummo does as Scummo is...    

 

Only yesterday I heard LNP Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews bizarrely 'advising' those still stuck in Afghanistan to "avoid the airport", and instead "try to get to the border with Pakistan", whilst repeatedly bleating about how prospective refugees/'rescuees' needed to apply to DFAT (Dept of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and get 'processed appropriately', etc...(that's just nonsensical jibberish, 100% conscience-washing denial of realities, and text-book gaslighting-Ed)...yep, and made no more reasonable by the fact that it was delivered by this career incompetent whilst flanked by soulless, moralless empathy vacuums, fellow Ministers Peter 'Spud' Dutton and Marise 'The Obligatory' Payne...bit of an insider self-joke there, 'cos an aspect of my Scorpio astrological/zodiac thingy, under 'Magic Weapon', mine is 'The Obligatory Pain'...(and isn't your 'Body Part', 'Genitals'?-Ed)...indeed, but pardon our irreverence, not so amusing is the bare-faced hypocrisy, belligerent refusal to accept responsibility, and blatant gaslighting by the LNP relating to what they have quite deliberately done to undermine and hinder our Afghan allies and deny refugees, etc...

Clare would have us believe, that with all of the chaotic random happenings at Kabul airport, that Scummo...(the same man who literally can't walk out his front door to address peaceful female protestors, and doesn't know anything about multiple Rape issues occurring around him, doesn't hold a hose, can't organise basic vaccine supplies, etc, etc ?-Ed)...yeah yeah, that Scummo, he supposedly had not only immediate real-time knowledge of exactly what was happening on the tarmac in Kabul, but also had direct control of the entire situation, including who did what as it related to all the flights being organised by multiple countries...(and after the LNP spent all week congratulating themselves for evacuating some citizens from that airport, constantly stating that it was a laudable effort given the intensely tight timing of flights and general chaos, etc-Ed)...precisely...I can only hope that Clare is an immoral, scheming hack, 'cos if she wrote this genuinely believing that it was possible, then she's solid gone man...

Howdy dear availees, in yesterday's post I started back toward engaging properly with this 'ere blog, and that's what I was talking about when I said, "How Many Times Can A Dead Cat Bounce?"...it's an old saying about someone or something that appears to be recovering or returning to normal, etc, but it's just actually just the momentum of the fall causing them to momentarily 'bounce'...I've spent years in this space, getting knocked down and/or falling, getting back up, down again, back up, etc, etc, and the last few months have been particularly 'bouncy'...I'll get into this stuff in future posts, but today I'm continuing what I started yesterday...

I stand by what I said about fearing for my safety from my government/police/authorities, and I'm not the only parent involved with the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up whom has existed in that space...but I cannot imagine what is happening with people in Afghanistan, and particularly for those who supported/helped us and for women and girls...nor would I presume to understand what our veterans and their families feel and/or think about this sudden withdrawal and the thoroughly predictable consequences...call me a cynic, but I view Scummo's (LNP) lackadaisical approach to repatriating Afghans as a deliberate strategy similar to the one he/they applied in Syria...and that is, stall, obfuscate and delay until the security situation deteriorates to the point that he/they can then say, 'oh it's way too dangerous to send our people in there', thusly justifying doing nothing at all...

Just now watching Scummo leeringly poking his finger at journalists, snarling about how 'we' won't be allowing random refugees, but simultaneously congratulating himself for how many Afghans we've allowed into Australia...and even then he's just randomly churning out fake facts, claiming a yearly arrival rate that would add-up to a figure 5-6 times the total he had just stated about overall numbers...praising himself and ramping up the carefully worded Nationalism about what great work he's done today, whilst blithely contradicting himself about how complex and protracted the screening process is...the situation now is so dangerous because he has been so recalcitrant if his responsibilities and actions... 

Yet another classic Scummo press conference, majority of time taken with endless gibberish, deceits, and thinly-veiled Nationalistic challenges/manipulations, followed by a handful of questions only part answered or dismissed, again with verbose word-salad time wasting, and then Scummo bolts for the door like the proverbial rat out of an aqueduct...and now he's spewing yet more self congratulation related to his cynically manipulated and therefore vastly exaggerated COVID19 vaccination rate claims...he's a pathological liar who simply cannot and does not know how else to function...deceive, lie, manipulate, he's a deeply, wholly nasty little man who thinks he's clever but is in reality an insipidly vicious and incompetent dullard...but I digress...here in more detail are some of the issues I mentioned yesterday... 

For many years there's been a strong debate about the genuine nature of this war...from the USofA's genuine motives for getting involved, to who it was they were actually fighting...the official USofA justification, as repeated by President Biden only yesterday, was to deny 'terrorism groups' any potential base for conducting training and launching attacks in the Western world...many people believe that this was the pseudo-justification for trying to get access to Afghanistan's extensive mineral resources, including the increasingly precious 'rare earths' used in modern electronics...others point to the massive increase in opium/opiate production, now 4x what it was 20 years ago, and the argument/theory that Western powers knowingly utilise opiates/heroin to control populaces, drive profits in Big Pharma, or repay Third World debt, etc...this has long been a thread of discussion/theory/accusation regarding Cocaine production in South America and how those countries use this income to surrepticiously repay their debts to the USofA and/or large corporations...   

These more extreme theories aside, recently there has been a very publicly expressed parallel alleged agenda of 'Societal Improvement', particularly regarding the rights and welfare of women and girls, but including general Education, Health, etc...I'm not arguing against this ideal/agenda, but it is effectively irrelevant considering the original official justification was about our Western security, and that that is, to my opinion, itself a false justification masking the desire for the 'rare earths' mineral wealth...even as 'we' withdraw, China is showing a specific interest in Afghanistan for that exact reason...

There's also the issue of Pakistan's influence on the conflict, as supporter, supplier, sanctuary and source of recruitment, eg, the madrasa/schools...again, I'm only re-iterating what I've read about a situation wholly foreign to me, but I've seen it argued that Pakistan's involvement is of such a scale as to warrant them being defined as a direct party in the conflict, acting deliberately against Western forces, not dissimilar to China's part in the American War in Vietnam in the 1960s-70s...there are also issues of potential Russian and/or Chinese influence/support in Afghanistan...

There are many direct parallels between recent USofA involvements/'invasions' of Iraq and Afghanistan...the most immediately obvious is that the people, the 'enemy' the USofA have been fighting in those countries, these exact same people were previously allies supported, funded, armed, and even trained by the USofA...in Iraq, the 'evil dictator' Saddam Hussein was an USofA ally against Iran, a politically expedient buffer against the spread of Iran's influence...the devastating Iran/Iraq War would have long been 'won' by Iran if it weren't for the USofA and others supporting Hussein...I remember reading a report back in the 1990s, about when Hussein gassed his own citizens...putting aside allegations that it was 'faked', etc, it was reportedly done with an agent sourced from the USofA, sprayed from a German supplied dispersal system, attached to a French supplied jet...this circles back directly to the financial benefits for some of armed conflict...

In Afghanistan, the Taliban in their former/parallel guise as the Mujahideen, were supported by the USofA to oppose the then USSR 'invaders' (1979-89)...as I understand it, a key factor in defeating the USSR was the use of USofA supplied 'Stinger' Anti Aircraft shoulder-launched missiles that were extremely efficient against USSR helicopters...it was unpleasantly ironic that earlier this year Russia was accused of offering bounties for the killing of USofA troops in Afghanistan...and not just the USofA, for decades various countries have, directly or otherwise, supplied the armaments the Taliban/Mujahideen have used...    

 As with the USofA led invasion of Iraq, many 'Western' businesses directly profited, and some individuals, including senior political figures, made a fortune...from individual private contractors right through to mainstream suppliers, it is absolutely an issue that must be considered, not least of all because it wouldn't be the first time, but to what degree has the official USofA and/or global Military Industrial Complex influenced this conflict?...maintaining a basic military presence/functioning is a massive logistical exercise with associated costs, and costs is profits to be made...supplying the USofA military with munitions is a particularly profitable business, and the more bullets fired and bombs dropped, etc, the better business is...and with extended involvement/conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan, business has been quite literally booming...and yes, that is a very deliberate pun utilised as a cynical critique...

It remains to be seen exactly what will unfold now, but many commentators are predicting 'terrorism attacks' in Europe, although today the Taliban officials directly addressed this issue, saying that it will not allow groups like Al Qaeda to operate in or from Afghanistan...they've also declared that there will be no 'retributions against those who assisted the USofA and it's allies', and that women will have full rights "under Sharia Law", whatever that ultimately means...there is great concern that possibly there will be a return to internal conflict between warlords and collapse similar to what happened in Syria, and that this may lead to the re-emergence of ISIS or a similar entity, further destabilising the region and harbouring/creating 'terrorism' elsewhere...   

There are so many variables and actors involved, there is literally no way to confidently predict whats going to happen...what we as Australians can be sure of is the rank Rascism evident in how we have treated our Afghan allies and their families, etc...I was reading where the average 'partner visa application' from Western countries takes 7-9 months to process and approve, etc, but when it comes the Afghans it's a nearly 4 year time-frame...Scummo's blustering bravado today, the bleatings of a man who knows exactly how hollow and cowardly he really is, was to angrily refuse to allow extended refugee places to Afghans, or even to allow some already here on 'temporary visas' to definitely stay...and he's constantly justifying these delays and denials, ignoring/denying that he/'we' have failed miserably to address these issues appropriately for years, and now he's running the bastard's excuse that it's very dangerous over there and all a bit difficult...we are apparently going to evacuate a miserable 600 people, if they can even get to the airport, and our first flight out took 26...26... 

    

Compared to other countries efforts, that is a ludicrous nonsense, and not least of all, because a plane that could have taken 130 leaves with 26...and to put it in context, in June, Scummo flew two Australian government aircraft filled with his retinue to the UK for what was effectively a family history research junket, at the same time as he was being begged to do something about evacuating people from Afghanistan...we knew we were leaving and that we needed to act and he didn't...and how much did we spend when Scummo chose to fly Mathias Cormann, who wasn't even an MP at the time, all over Europe to manipulate a job interview?...when you're Scummo and his criminal LNP mates, no expense is spared, but vulnerable refugees are irrelevant...it also raises again the issue of Scummo's Fundamentalist/Pentecostal faith and the inherent contempt for the poor and suffering...

Scummo's also running a vastly inflated and confected Nationalistic outrage about how we must respect the sacrifice of our troops...he's cynically manipulating in a transparently politically expedient fashion, the genuine suffering and losses and trauma that our troops and their families have incurred...when quite appropriately asked about the issue of our war crimes in Afghanistan and the related Brereton Report, out comes the confected outrage and Nationalistic jingoism, relentlessly dialling-up the rhetoric whilst carefully not answering the question...

And now I'm watching former Liberal PM John Howard being interviewed about what is his war against terrorism, fought and definably lost...but not surprisingly, the warmonger who took us in there sees it otherwise...I was always of the impression that John Howard was/is an Empire-minded throwback who was/is convinced that one is only a genuine PM once one has a war under one's belt...and now he's parotting the line used by Scummo that 'no Australian who has died (in the uniform) in the service of their country has died in vain'...they are an absolute disgrace, and 'we' gave them the power...what does that say about us?...

I'm going to finish this post here, deeply mired in my own contempt for our elected leaders, deeply ashamed of the country we've become, and struggling with what I think of us as a Nation...I feel defeated and deflated, but bizarrely that only helps me to refocus and recommit to doing what little I can, namely, this blog and associated 'activism'...

Our Betrayal Of Afghanistan - I Have Never Been More Ashamed To Be 'Australian'

Today marks a new low in what it means to be an Australian...many times in recent years I have been infuriated, frustrated, angered, embarrassed, and even somewhat ashamed to be an Australian, particularly as it relates to the conduct of our prize moron of a Prime Minister, Scott 'Scomo' Morrison...but today I just watched this sinister clown sneeringly smirk his way through an ABC interview about the disastrous collapse of the Afghan military and the Taliban's over-running of the capital Kabul...this is a devastating situation for the people of Afghanistan, particularly for those who helped/supported 'us', and for all the women and girls who will be forced back into religiously-justified subservience...'we' have shamefully abandoned the many Afghans who supported 'our' troops, 'our' troops whom have been in their country for 20 years, since Liberal PM John Howard loyally and unquestioningly followed the USofA whilst stating that Labor were "fear-mongering" because the conflict would last "only 6 months"...here's the link to part of Morrison's interview this morning...

There's so much to unpack here about local politics, eg, about the rancid pro-LNP sycophancy of the Main Stream Media, most particularly of the supposedly 'Left Wing' ABC, but this is about what we've done to another country...not sure, but the full interview (above) may be available via the ABC website... 

The Morrison LNP government, the Scott 'Scummo' Morrison government, our government, we as a nation, we have allowed Scummo and his immoral LNP cronies to maliciously and deliberately stall their supposed 'efforts' to repatriate our Afghan allies...now 'our' allies, the people who helped us have been betrayed and abandoned by 'us'...we as a nation should hang our collective heads in shame...and I cannot and will not condone violence, even against Scummo and the rancid LNP, but I have no problem promoting the wonderful work of Egg-Boy, albeit with one caveat...rather than wasting good food on this rancid LNP rabble, please pelt them with putrid, decaying produce...pelt each and every one of them, wherever and whenever they show their smug, sneering faces...each and every one of them deserve exactly that sort of disrespectful abuse...for all it's potential uncivilised barbarity, perhaps we were a bit hasty in moving away from the public humiliation of the pillory and the stocks...

I have absolutely no problem with the likes of Scummo being publicly humiliated in the town square via a carefully monitored and regulated system of public retribution...no violence, no stonings or beatings or the like, just a perpetual shower of state sanctioned and supplied soggy, rotting fruit and vegies...and even then, I can't help feeling that that past-best produce would be better utilised being fed to the pigs...and I certainly wouldn't feed it to the pigs after it's been contaminated by contact with a Scummo LNP, the pigs might catch something...all joking aside, pigs are pigs, but the Scummo LNP are swine...

We went into Afghanistan because it suited our political purpose...'we' effectively invaded another country to supposedly deny 'terrorists' free reign and therefore prevent any further 'terrorist attacks' in the Western world...whether or not that was the genuine motivation and agenda, and some would argue otherwise, it was our official justification...'we' then tacked onto that various other justifications about 'freedom for the people' and 'rights and safety of women', etc...I have my opinion about all of these 'justifications', but I'll keep it to myself because it's not relevant here...what was obvious throughout the past 20 years was that history has taught us nothing, and not least of all because we chose to ignore it...what we know as the 'Vietnam War' was actually the USofA/Australian section of a much longer war within Vietnam, across many decades, even centuries of foreign occupation...and in the exact same manner, for centuries various foreign entities have sought to control Afghanistan and have failed...the British Empire had a go and failed, and more recently the USSR/Russia tried and failed...

There are so many religious and/or political issues at play, eg, the political doctrine that is motivated by some sections of the Islamic faith, and how that manifests in places like neighbouring Pakistan where the Taliban have a great deal of support and therefore sanctuary, supply, etc...within Afghanistan itself is a strong culture of resistance and 'pride' generated and/or witnessed by these centuries of conflict...and there have been periods of internally-generated carnage as opposing local 'warlords' fought for dominance...but this is all just a tiny fraction of a vast discussion about Religion, History, and Culture that I am not qualified to comment on...however, the fundamental justification for 'our' involvement, as described above, that is self-defined and not open to debate...'we' went in to Afghanistan to stop terrorism in 'The West'...and to achieve that we recruited and encouraged locals to help us as interpreters, etc...and then when it no longer suits us, we, Australia, have quite literally turned our backs and walked away, leaving them suffer the horrendous consequences...

I thought I couldn't be more ashamed than I am on a daily basis of 'our' treatment of Australia's First Nation peoples, of our Aboriginal populace, or that we as a nation are effectively ruled-over by Paedophiles and Pro-Paedophile Corrupt politicians and police, etc, but today I feel I'm occupying that same place...

Scott Morrison Demonstrates His Pathological Hatred Of Women By Promoting Court-Protected Rapist Christian Porter

Howdy dear availees across this sad, brown land...yesterday when I posted about how Judge Jayne Jagot had acted to protect the Self-Defined Rapist Christian Porter, thus making him the Court-Protected Rapist, I was not aware of his promotion to Acting Leader of the House...apparently Leader Peter Dutton is in COVID19 quarantine, but for some reason Porter was promoted past the current Deputy Leader David Gillespie...I refer to Porter as a Rapist, not 'alleged', because I believe Ms Katharine Thornton, because I have read the documentation she prepared/produced...if you have not read her harrowing account of the night that Porter violently Raped her, here is the link, as copied from the excellent Kangaroo Court of Australia website...

Porter's elevation betrays PM's chilling apathy towards survivors

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has just overseen Christian Porter's assuming of the role of Acting leader of the House of Representatives. Amid a burgeoning, pre-eminent mass awakening to the endemic issue of sexual abuse, this decision marks a proverbial slap in the face of our entire nation.

Less than two years ago, the twice-convicted paedophile who abused me and others before me was awarded a doctorate by the University of Tasmania, despite breaking the student code of conduct and being charged and jailed a second time for producing child exploitation material during his PhD tenure.

In light of my own experience, it's hard to process how an accused rapist - albeit one who will never face prosecution - could be offered one of the highest positions of power in the country by none other than our nation's leader himself.

Christian Porter has been accused of raping a woman in 1988. Last year, his alleged victim suicided. He has denied the accusation.

But it isn't just Porter's character that's in question here, it's the morality of our current leadership.

Outside of Parliament, positions of public trust are governed by codes of conduct that stipulate one must be a "fit and proper" person in order to occupy them, such as in the case of doctors who are bound by the Hippocratic oath. Furthermore, their adequacy - in terms of both knowledge and ethics - is repeatedly challenged and updated through mandated continuing professional development.

In Parliament, however, no such requirements exist. It is the Prime Minister who sets the standards and maintains them by appointing cabinet ministers at his or her discretion.

Given the seriousness of the allegations against Porter, the bare minimum test of his fitness to hold ministerial office would be an independent inquiry. How damning it is that the government refused to allow for one.

If the Prime Minister's recent rhetoric about wanting to support assault survivors and protect women's safety was indeed true, he would surely go to any lengths possible to ensure there was not an accused rapist amongst his own staff. Clearly, it has been nothing but lip service. His actions speak volumes that drown out his every word.

And now, not only has Porter been permitted to remain in office, he's been temporarily elevated. His are circumstances steeped in the protective privileges of a patriarchal Parliament.

There is no way this decision was accidental. It is a transparently deliberate, definitive statement that reeks of abuse of power and a blatant disregard of the people.

Last week I had what I thought was a productive meeting with the federal government, and now this has happened.

Sexual abuse is an issue of human rights and should therefore transcend all divides; political and otherwise. And yet, by his actions our Prime Minister has proven he is of a different mind. He is determined to associate his party with outmoded, oppressive cultures and attitudes.

I'm not party-political, but I call out injustice where I see it, and in this instance, it is damn-near blinding.

Typically, one of the things the leader of the House does is shut down debate. The role is embedded with the power to enforce silence; the power to suppress truth. How powerfully ironic.

Demonstrative actions at the apex of influence - such as the elevation of Porter -have a dangerously permissive effect on future corruption whilst simultaneously stifling progress. They send an intimidating message of chilling apathy.

In particular, this appointment is an insult to all survivors, and indeed the whole country. It reinforces the idea that accused predators are too often protected, feeding into the already crippling fear of victims and bystanders. It is an act of emboldening perpetrators.

My heart breaks at the thought of survivors still living in silence, looking to our leaders for hope.

***...and I would disagree with Ms Tame on only one point...and it's the same point that I disagree with those who describe Scummo's actions here as being 'tone deaf to the social climate around Sexual Assault', or similar statements about Scummo 'having a tin ear to current Sexual Assault issues', etc...Ms Tame describes it as being a "blatant disregard" and "an intimidating message of chilling apathy", but I believe that it's much, much more than that, that it's far more concerning than that...

I believe that this is Scummo unleashing his full Pentecostal-fueled pathological hatred for women, coupled with his delusional messianic psychosis, in what is a fully conscious and calculated retaliation against women for their recent actions and activism around seeking justice and/or protection for women...Language Warning:...this is Scummo saying 'Fuck you you uppity bitches, how dare you protest outside Parliament and embarrass me and inconvenience me, get back in the fucking kitchen where you belong and do as you're fucking told, as God tells us you should...think I give a fuck about you and/or your pathetic whinging? well cop this, I'm going to fully support, protect, and then re-promote the Rapist Porter, and there's not a single fuckin' thing you can do about it!'...End Language Warning...

Dear Availees, Apologies For This Break in Transmission, But We're Back

Howdy dear availees everywhere...respectful apologies for the recent 3 week break in transmission...been having a thoroughly average time of things for various reasons and decide to have a coupla' weeks off...no apologies for being swamped and overwhelmed by multiple issues, not least of all the many manifestations of the relentless corruption of the Scott 'Scummo'  Morrison led Liberal/National Party and how sickeningly complicit the Main Stream Media is in protecting them and therefore proliferating said corruption...and how that corruption runs through the Courts, the Public Service, etc...the most immediate example is the extraordinary Court ruling that buries the ABC's 'evidence' against the now Court Defined Rapist Christian Porter...where Porter was previously the Self-Defined Rapist, now he is clearly being protected by the Courts, so he is now the Court Defined Rapist...this rancid cover-up runs right through-out the LNP, with multiple Public Official functionaries involved, especially the farcically corrupt New South Wales Police, and now the Courts, with scum-sucking sycophants like Peter Van Onselen and numerous other (often Murdoch) goblins running protection in the MSM, etc, etc...

And that whole issue now focuses attention on the South Australian Coroner's investigation of the death of Ms Katherine Thornton, the (then) teenager that Christian Porter Raped, and whom allegedly took her own life...and I view with deep concern some people's ill-placed optimism that the SA Coroner will make some sort of finding that will hold Porter to account...I desperately hope to be proven wrong, but I have absolutely zero faith that this will happen...my extensive personal experience of South Australian is that we are every bit as rancidly corrupt as the rest of this sad, sick country, and in many respects are leaders in the field...I remind dear availees that the definably corrupt former Magistrate Ian White, who conducted my "bizarre trial" and subsequent 'Conviction' for allegedly breaching SA's bizarre ICAC legislation, etc, who set-out with the predetermined desire to convict me regardless, indeed who was appointed to do that, that this man with a definable penchant for colluding with SAPol (police) and politicians, etc, he is now SA's Deputy Coroner...

This one issue, Christian Porter the Court Defined Rapist, this fundamentally defines how 'The System', a wholly corrupt System protects it's own...we are not a Fair Dinkum Egalitarian society where everyone is equal before the law, before Scummo's beloved "Rule of Law", we are the Plebs, we are cattle, and we are to know our place and not bother the 'Elite', not challenge their privilege and corruption, etc...we are a broken pseudo-Democracy, mired in a Class System of deliberate bias and dysfunction, stumbling and staggering toward official Fascism...and with the rise of Fundamentalist Christian influence, we are exposed for exactly what we are, a Class-structured, Rascist, Bigotted, backward embarrassment of a Nation with a smattering of decent human beings trying desperately to address those faults and failings...

And on top of all that stuff, whilst I had intended a 2 week hiatus, last week was dominated by a very serious family issue that literally took me physically away from my clunky ol' PC...it was extremely chaotic and hectic, I'm not gunna' go into details, and it's an ongoing situation, but hopefully the worst is passed, so I'm back home and I'll be posting again tomorrow or at least in the next few days...
