Court allows jazz musician accused of raping student to join tour with James Morrison
A
jazz musician charged with raping a fellow student of a prestigious
music academy run by James Morrison had his bail adjusted so he could
tour with the famous trumpeter in Melbourne.
American saxophonist
Matthew Harkins, 26, is due to face trial in South Australia next year
having pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape after he allegedly
assaulted a woman while they both attended the James Morrison Academy in
Mount Gambier.
Harkins, who is not allowed to leave South
Australia, applied to the District Court for special permission to
travel to Melbourne two weeks ago.
His application was successful
and on October 19 he performed on stage with the academy’s orchestra and
Morrison at the Jazz Lab in Brunswick.

His
alleged victim now lives in Melbourne and was not informed by the
police or court that Harkins would be travelling to Victoria.
A
photo posted on social media by Morrison shows Harkins playing saxophone
alongside him during the gig, which was recorded live with plans to
release it as an album.
Harkins, originally from Maine in the
United States, pleaded not guilty to the charges at an arraignment
hearing in Mount Gambier on October 15.
On the same day, he signed
an adjusted bail agreement giving him permission to travel to Victoria
between October 18 and 19. His residence during the trip was listed as
the YHA hostel in North Melbourne.
Harkins was instructed to report to Mount Gambier police station 24 hours after his return.
The application to vary Harkins’ bail was not opposed by police, according to a transcript of the court proceeding.
Harkins' lawyer was contacted for comment.
Morrison said it would be inappropriate to make any comment about Harkins while he faced criminal charges.

addition, the wellbeing (and privacy) of all our students is our
primary concern and I don’t feel (particularly the survivor) needs to be
reading in the paper comments from me about how we looked after her,"
he said in an email written while on tour in Brazil.
On
the academy's website, Morrison explains that one of the reasons for
setting up the school in Mount Gambier was to create a community among
students who don’t have the distractions of a big city.
"It’s kind
of like when you go to band camp – everybody there is into the music
and when you’re not actually in class, you’re still with your colleagues
who are passionate about jazz," he says on the academy’s website.
"Students
at the JM Academy will benefit from living in close proximity to each
other and when class ends for the day, instead of all going your
separate ways, they can hang out together and maintain the ‘jazz’
atmosphere."
The academy was opened in 2015 with the help of
$500,000 grant from the South Australian state government. It is
affiliated with the University of South Australia, which enrols the
students. Morrison is the head of school and his wife, Judi, is the
executive director.
In 2017, the academy pledged to identify ways
to prevent and respond to sexual harassment and sexual assault after
separate allegations were raised against a staff member.
"The academy has policies dealing with sexual assault and sexual harassment that have been approved by UniSA," Morrison said.
As
of next year, the academy will no longer accept enrolments for its
three-year bachelor of music. One-year diploma and honours courses will
still be offered. Morrison said this was due to a change in federal
funding arrangements.
A University of South Australia spokesperson
said it would be inappropriate to comment on the matter while it was
before the courts.
"The University of South Australia takes the
safety and wellbeing of every one of its students and staff very
seriously and has comprehensive policies and support services in
relation to this," the spokesperson said.
A trial has been set for March 23, 2020.
***...and I've not seen or heard this case being reported in Mt Gambier, and I'll be pleasantly stunned if even this 'Guilty Plea' makes the news here, as the usual Pro-Paedophile Corrupt stooges in the local media continue to protect their mates and their own self-interests...

Australian jazz musician James Morrison has written a
character reference for an American saxophonist who indecently assaulted
a woman while studying at a prestigious South Australian music academy.

Allen Harkins, 26, will be sentenced next month in the South Australian
District Court after today pleading guilty to one count of indecent
assault.
His plea came after two counts of rape, a more serious charge, were withdrawn by prosecutors.
The
court heard Harkins was a student at the James Morrison Academy of
Music in Mount Gambier when he took a consensual sexual encounter too
far.
Bill Boucaut SC, for Harkins, urged Judge Rauf
Soulio not to record a conviction against his client's name because it
would jeopardise his ambitions to become a music teacher in the future.
"Mr Harkins has never been in trouble before," he said.
"His father is a talented pianist — he inherited his father's gift. He is a highly accomplished musician."
Mr
Boucaut said Harkins was a man with an "exemplary character", before
handing Judge Soulio a bunch of character references, including one
written by James Morrison.
He said Harkins took a gap year in 2015 and travelled
to Australia and New Zealand with a friend before one of his teachers
from the US encouraged him to audition for James Morrison in Sydney.
The court was told he was accepted into the James Morrison Academy for Music with "flying colours" in 2017.
"As
for his future plans, he wants to make a career out of music. He wants
to either maintain contact with the music industry as a session player,
or a band, or both," Mr Boucaut said.
The
court heard Harkins's visa expired six months ago but he could stay in
Australia until his criminal prosecution was finalised.
But prosecutors told the court that the offending was too serious not to attract a conviction.
Harkins faces a maximum of eight years in jail for the offence.
***...and I cannot reconcile how 2 charges of Rape is reduced to 1 charge/'Guilty Plea' of 'Indecent Assault'...what does 'Indecent Assault' even mean?...and I'm extremely disturbed about this supposed explanation/excuse that Harkins "took a consensual sexual encounter too far."...to me that reeks of 'Victim Blaming', effectively stating that the young woman changed her mind so he's not really to be blamed, so it's not really Rape, etc...nor do I understand how his father's piano prowess is even relevant...there is now a further story on MSN, apparently sourced from the ABC...***

***And even after admitting to the reduced single charge of Indecent Assault, James Morrison still provides a character reference, and these people actually want to argue that Harkin's desire for a future career is somehow a mitigating circumstance...as I understand it, this 'Plea Deal' also denies the young woman involved the opportunity to confront her 'Rapist/Assaulter'...possibly this is a good thing for her, sparing her from vicious cross-examination and associated character assassination, etc, and she might have even been involved in this decision...I don't know and it's not reported...however, I do understand that she has 'stopped' her musical studies and even her career, and it raises the issue of how that relates/compares to Harkins' desire to continue his musical career and the associated requests for relative clemency, etc...
I'm gunna' end here 'cos it's really doing my head in, and I can only imagine how it's affecting the young woman involved and the other Jazz Academy students who have had similar experiences...and I say "students" plural because I know of at least one Rape by former teacher Graeme Lyall, and how James Morrison and the Jazz Academy/Generations In Jazz have been complicitly involved in covering that up, so I find it inconceivably improbable that these Rapes/Sexual Assaults are isolated incidents...for my experience of these issues, there is a pattern of behaviour and conduct here that displays/denotes an attitude and a culture...and as always with these things, I'd rather be wrong, but I'm confident that what I've described is exactly as it appears, a 'culture' of abuse and cover-up...

Rann blasts Speaker over 'wild' pedophile ring claim
Speaker Peter Lewis last week said two gay men, who were
recently found dead in Adelaide, had told him of a pedophile MP who
frequented the city's south parklands, a known homosexual haunt.
Mr Lewis also said the men's deaths could not be dismissed as coincidence.
Police
initially said the pedophile MP allegations had been reported in 2003
and were found to be unsubstantiated. But this week they reopened the
investigation.
Mr Rann today described Mr Lewis' claims as "wild" and "extraordinary".
"The allegations are about murder as well as pedophilia," Mr Rann said.
"These are very serious allegations that need to be cleared up by the police and I await their report with profound interest."
Mr
Rann refused to offer his support to Mr Lewis, a former Liberal MP who
turned Independent and handed Labor government his decisive vote in the
state's cliffhanger 2002 election.
"My message to the speaker is this: You have got to produce the evidence and hand it over to the police," Mr Rann said.
"It's vitally important if you make wild allegations that you back them up to prove they have substance.
"So, therefore, I am awaiting with interest the report from police, and so is every other member of parliament."
Mr
Rann said when Mr Lewis was appointed parliamentary speaker - as part
of the deal which delivered Labor power at the last election - the
Independent MP promised to "try and reinforce respect in the institution
of parliament as well, of course, as the protecting the rights both
collectively and individually of members of parliament".
"He also promised to restore dignity to the parliament," Mr Rann said.
"And so Peter Lewis knows that he is accountable for his own actions as well as being accountable to the parliament."
Mr
Lewis has said claims an MP was involved in pedophile behaviour were
made separately by gay victims Robert Woodland and Shaine Moore.
Mr Woodland, 36, was bashed to death last December in Adelaide's south parklands. His murder is unsolved.
Mr
Moore, 33, was found dead in his north suburban Adelaide house on
February 25 this year in what police say were suspicious circumstances.
Mr
Lewis also said another man, convicted pedophile Craig Ratcliffe, had
told him there was video evidence of the serving MP involved in a sexual
act in the south parklands.
Police interviewed Mr Lewis last week about his claims.
...and I remind dear availees that us parents had already been in regular contact with Commissioner Ted Mullighan and Peter Lewis when Lewis 'resigned'/was forced/sacked/removed from the position of Speaker only 3 weeks after this (4th April 2005)...us parents were the second group of people to meet with Mullighan, at a time when this first group were being systematically eliminated...then less than 2 months later Parliament sat in Mt Gambier (5th-6th May 2005) and I was present when Peter Lewis twice spoke to the St Martins Cover-up, generating this outrageously corrupt response from the rancidly Pro-Paedophile Corrupt Labor stooge, alleged Independent Rory McEwen, via the equally complicit The Border Watch newspaper...

Howdy dear availees, I thought that there were so many issues/stories left-out of the last post, and whilst I probably won't cover all of them even with this post, here's some more stuff I thought was important, even critical...and with all of the horrendous issues/stories involved, I'm gunna' start with the most egregious one that I'm aware of...
The St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up:...where-in the "text-book grooming paedophile" teacher Glyn Dorling was clearly engaging in sexualised physical contacts with 7 year old kids, and how SAPol (police), the Lutherans, the Dept of Education, the Teachers Registration Board, and a litany of lawyers like Bill DeGaris, Peter Humphries, Tim Bourne, Stephen Lieschke, etc, and dozens of politicians like Tony Pasin, Julia Gillard, Julie Bishop, Mike Rann, Jay Weatherill, Rob Kerin, Rob Lucas, Vicki Chapman, Michael Atkinson, John Rau, Jane Lomax-Smith, David Ridgway, Rory McEwen, Don Pegler, and the former Mt Gambier Mayor whom I'm not allowed to write about because of the 'reprehensibly vile' Final Intervention Orders issued by the rankly corrupt Magistrate Ian White, FIOs designed to ban me from attending Council meetings and to protect that rancidly corrupt 'man', etc, etc, etc, all issues with their primary motivations tracing back to the St Martins Cover-up...this 'ere blog exists because of St Martins, and the resultant Pro-Paedophile Political Persecution of my "bizarre trial", and the ongoing harassment from SAPol, Corrections SA, etc, etc, it all goes back to St Martins and what that Cover-up illustrates about the Institutionalised Pro-Paedophile Corruption that controls/runs South Australia...
And it's because these Pro-Paedophile Corrupt stooges know what Dorling was doing to our kids, that's what makes it such an intimidating thing for me to simply say, 'they know and have approved/consented/protected, so they won't mind when I do it to them'...even knowing that I'm not stupid enough and more importantly, it's just not in my nature, even then, it's such a malevolent statement because of the gross abuses it refers to...and I know I'm constantly bangin'-on about the St Martins Cover-up, but;
1) it never goes away for the many families and many of the kids, etc, and;
2) it didn't 'happen in the 1960's when attitudes were different', it happened this century, and;
3) it's absolutely relevant when discussing Sexual Assault As A Societal Norm, because if all of these people, Police, Politicians, Public Servants, etc, etc, if they all know and have acted directly or by omission to protect the perpetrator, to protect the abuser, to cover-up the abuse of dozens of 7 year old kids, then what hope for individual adults in circumstances where their abuser is often in a position of power and influence...
And because it relates directly to what I'm talking about with the St Martins Cover-up, here's another pearler from Twitter...

...and I'm stuck agreeing with both positions here, 'cos I do fully agree that the Murdochracy, eg, the Australian, do relentlessly and deliberately misrepresent the facts as part of their undisguised and massively biased attacks on Labor, and also routinely defend high-ranking paedophiles/sexual predators/etc, eg, Peter Hollingsworth, George Pell, Dyson Heydon, etc, etc...but I also agree that what is said here is not far-off the reality as I've experienced it...and I've covered this before, about how the FCARC was/is an absolute set-up to give the illusion of appropriate action against Institutionalised Child Abuse, to draw that imaginary 'line in the sand', to say 'that was then but now it's different', and everything's gunna' be okay now, etc...and I remind dear availees that the FCARC rejected myself and other families, dismissed our lengthy and document-supported submissions, and refused to look at the St Martins Cover-up at all, and then did not formally question the Lutherans at all, on any issue...I remind dear availees that for all intents and purposes, the Federal Child Abuse Royal Commission actively, knowingly, and willingly acted to protect the Lutherans...not my opinion, not my 'experience', just straight-out the stone-cold reality...but why?...well there's plenty of similar chatter on Twitter, etc, where-in it appears that the FCARC did little if anything about the Institutionalised Pro-Paedophile Corruption in South Australia...
Why did the SA-based PM Julia Gillard introduce a FCARC that barely looked at SA, and most particularly refused to look at the Lutherans, who are headquartered in SA?...is this what it looks like?...is this FCARC about deliberately trying to bury the realities of Institutionalised Pro-Paedophile Corruption in SA, nationally notorious as the Paedophile State, as being run by Paedophiles for Paedophiles?...sound ludicrous? well start from the end point, the FCARC Final Report, and work your way back through the non-inclusion of the Lutherans, minimal inclusion of other SA issues, back through Julia Gillard's political pedigree, including her specific knowledge of and participation in the St Martins Cover-up, etc, etc, and what appears illogical and unlikely becomes increasingly and chillingly plausible...the St Martins Cover-up is a clear indicator of the culture of Sexual Predation, and in SA particularly the culture of abusing children, and the protections afforded perpetrators by their mates/co-conspirators/fellow abusers/etc...
I recently referred dear availees to the blog/website of Matilda Duncan, and re-refer y'all to that site, and particularly her stories about Sexual Assault rates, etc, and the extraordinary situation where the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), a huge public service sector employer, the ABC appears to have no clear specific policy and/or mechanism for reporting Sexual Assault in the workplace, and even more concerning, no official records of such reports...here's the link...
...Ms Duncan has also done several other stories on issues of Sexual Assault in educational institutions like universities...it's not my place to editorialise about Ms Duncan's motivations, but I believe that her reportage largely reflects her own personal experiences of the lack of accountability and responsibility in tertiary education institutions when it comes to protecting students, usually female, and appropriately sanctioning perpetrators, usually men...and I say usually because it is far-and-away the norm that it is men harassing/assaulting women, or other men, but I personally know a young man who, as a uni student, had his studies/career repeatedly threatened by a senior female lecturer who was sexually harassing him...
I'd also like to congratulate Ms Duncan for her extensive and intense researching and activism on behalf of Greyhound Welfare...and I specifically refer to the reactions that her efforts have generated, eg, being harassed at tracks, and some in the industry warning others about her, etc, and affecting some degree of change, eg, some sponsors withdrawing that support...this is very much in the same vein as The Mad F*cking Witches campaign that had shock-jerk Alan Jones lose a huge number of advertisers/sponsors, and subsequently his radio job...and very spooky coincidence I'm sure, that whilst I'm typing this there's an interview on the ABC/BBC Radio with a New South Wales Minister, (didn't catch his name and there's effectively 3 different Ministers with possible oversight/authority, sorry), vehemently defending the 'new welfare legislation', and something about Taree's recent upgrade of facilities as it relates to the new '3.5m square rule', and defending "mum and dad" owners, and apparently "everything goes toward (their) greyhounds (welfare)'...a quick Interweb search shows that this 'new legislation' does nothing to ensure the 'welfare of Greyhounds', and indeed there's a 10-year allowance for compliance...
And again I'll quantify my admiration and sense of quiet awe for what Ms Duncan has achieved in not just fighting-back against her trauma, albeit sans music, by pushing back against all of the deliberately abusive disinformation
being promoted by the Catholic Church/Tennyson Woods College, James Morrison/Graeme Lyall, SAPol, multiple lawyers like Bill DeGaris, etc, etc, and generating an official Catholic report, receiving some compensation, and publicly sharing her story so as to educate and support others...with the St Martins Cover-up, as horrendous and massive as it is, there were always a few families carrying the issue forward, even if it's mainly just me now, and I wasn't the person abused/raped, so I can only imagine what sort of strength it takes to take on SAPol, Tennyson Woods, Lyall, DeGaris, etc, etc, let-alone achieve the things that Ms Duncan has...bravo...

I've recently become aware of Mt Gambier local Marcia Hobbs and her book 'Ugly Heroes'...haven't yet got a copy so's I only know the broader details and can't quote it directly, but I do understand that it's about Ms Hobbs personal experiences with SAPol in Mt Gambier, and police involvement in drugs, etc, as it all relates to her 'alleged' assault by a SAPol officer, etc...and I say 'alleged' purely for legal reasons, because I don't want to accidentally trample on anything that Ms Hobbs has done and/or may currently be doing, and/or get myself in trouble for 'defamation', etc...even with the little I do know, I have
no hesitation in accepting Ms Hobbs account as
accurate and truthful, and therefore have no hesitation in recommending

And just reporting now (2nd July 2020) on ABC radio that the Appeal against 'Defamation Damages' awarded to Geoffrey Rush has been dismissed by the Court, and therefore he gets the full original amount...we covered this original ruling, etc, in the previous post, and I re-iterate my position that the ruling was yet another 'don't bother to report it' situation, and that the Magistrate, Justice Wigney's conduct toward the 'victim' was hugely biased, abusive, and wholly inappropriate, eg, denying critical defense witnesses, and as part of the Grounds for Appeal, grounds that have been dismissed as irrelevant, that appalling conduct has been approved/ratified by the Federal Court...it's absolutely disgraceful across the board, Geoffrey Rush's appalling conduct, Justice Wigney's appalling conduct, and now this farcical decision by the Federal Court...and it sends a chillingly direct and unambiguous message to 'victims', namely, if you dare to report a powerful person, you'll get abused and attacked and denigrated by the Court...and even if you're not the one who reported it, remember, that Ms Norvill only told a friend who told a journo who published without Ms Norvill's knowledge let-alone consent...and if y'all reckon I'm being overly dramatic about it, please avail ya'selves of the previous post and go Interwebbing to look at this extraordinary case...

We have discussed this before here at TMGI, and as Mr Pascoe identifies in this and other articles, when it comes to the Liberal/National Party fraudulently misappropriating Taxpayer's monies to 'Pork-Barrel' elections, it's not just Sports Rorts we need to look at, it's a litany of rorted 'programs' that the LNP has utilised, and running into $billions...(and isn't the $15million that the Mt Gambier City Council received for the Farcical Aquatic Recreation Centre (FARC), from the Building Better Regions Infrastructure Fund?-Ed)...no, it was actually from the Regional Growth Fund, but I can see how as one might get a bit confused, so many 'funds', so much rorting...(sure, and is that the one for building female-focussed facilities, eg, separate change-rooms, etc?-Ed)...no, that was the Community Sport Infrastructure Fund...(but hang on, I thought Scummo & Co kept berating Labor and other 'Sports Rorts' critics with "they want women to keep changing in the carpark"?-Ed)...and there-in lies the MSM-supported crass hypocrisy and deceit, 'cos the LNP tried to justify one funding program with the same justification that was the entire reason for a separate program, and abuse critics into the bargain, and the MSM just let it all happen without question...
Scummo (the LNP) just loves to make grandiose announcements about 'Funding', but it always has tricky legislation attached so as to make it incredibly difficult if not impossible to access...(and therefore they get the glorious self-praising of the announcement but don't have to support it with actual funding because virtually nothing actually gets spent-Ed)...yep, but their 'Grants' go super-quickly to mates and in brown paper bag-like circumstances...(indeed, their $billions of Pork-Barrelling Rorts to LNP or marginal seats, that all happens lickety-split, and in some instances, without organisations actually even applying, eg, $444m for the Great Barrier Reef Foundation-Ed)...I do recall that the LNP's first actual payment re the COVID19 Pandemic was $715m to airlines, a huge chunka' which went to QANTAS, whom promptly stood-down 20,000 workers only a week later...(and $50m to Rupert Murdoch to support Regional Media, and he promptly closed 125 Regional Papers-Ed)...and elsewhere people who lost everything in bushfires 6 months ago, they can't get squat and are still living in tents and caravans, etc...(until the Eden-Monaro by-election appears, and then it's suddenly all hands on deck for multiple press conferences and yet more promises of support but still little or no actual action-Ed)...good ol' LNP, they hate you unless you can do something for them, and then it's all smiles and promises, etc...
This relentless cycle of Scummo's pseudo-announcements is effectively a perpetual hypocrisy, constantly saying one thing whilst doing the exact opposite...(I'd argue that Scummo/the LNP have turned Hypocrisy into an actual form of governance, clearly replacing Democracy in Australia-Ed)...indeed Ed, good point, and is there any greater hypocrisy than their renewed attacks in Parliament, and elsewhere,
on the supposed problems/irrelevance/etc, of Superannuation, when their first Income Response to the COVID19 Pandemic was to allow and
encourage people to access upto $20,000 of their Super...(which effectively costs them 4-5X that amount lost at retirement-Ed)...yep, upto $100,000...(and
at a time when the markets/exchange/interest rates, etc, are at a
critical low, meaning, the 'accessor' is immediately losing money on the
current 'value' of that sum-Ed)...well yes, I hadn't thought of
that...(and now the LNP is allowing/telling people trying to escape
Domestic Violence, the vast majority of whom are women, that they could/should access their Super to self-fund their freedom/safety-Ed)...and in a context where it is widely reported about the concerning disparity where women almost always earn less and therefore have far less Super than men...where it was financially incompetent and grossly irresponsible of Treasurer Josh Frydenburg to encourage people to access their Super re COVID19, it's absolute bastardry to fail to provide appropriate funding and support services to women (and often kids), and then tell them to go use their already very limited Super to make-up for these governmental failures...

I also recall the extraordinary lengths that Justice Witney went to to protect actor Geoffrey Rush, including denying critical witnesses who confirmed Rush's 'lecherous nature', and openly attacking the young women involved as 'unreliable and not credible' and "prone to exaggeration or embellishment", etc, even though she was effectively forced to participate after her original disclosures to a friend wound-up on the front page of The Daily Telegraph, without her knowledge or consent...(yeah, that Whitney guy was an absolute arsehole to that young woman, so obviously massively biased in favour of Rush-Ed)..indeed, and many critics have expressed opinions from disbelief and disappointment, right through to observations that this was done deliberately to traumatise all assault survivors and actively dissuade them from pursuing justice in what is clearly an unjust Legal System...(well I subscribe to the later end of that spectrum, this looks exactly like a bare-faced warning to anyone who wants to try and seek justice, this is what you'll cop instead!-Ed)...I'm very much inclined to agree with you, it certainly looks like it's what this specific Magistrate/Judge was doing...(that or he's just another woman-hater in a position of authority-Ed)...indeed, but his personal motivations aside, his conduct is reprehensibly vile and inappropriate...

Howdy dear availees, and welcome to a quick post motivated by events this week in Victorian and Federal politics, but, as you can see, with it's main focus right here in li'l ol' Mt Gambier...(and in Murray Bridge-Ed)...sure, but we'll get to that...anyhoos, no muckin' about, let's jump straight in...
First stop, Prime Minister Scott 'Scummo' Morrison dragged Australian Politics to a new sneering, bullying, Fascist low this week...(a new low even by his lofty standards-Ed)...well quite, he's constantly redefining his own personal best when it comes to smirking bastardry and dictatorial conduct...Scummo was mouthing-off from the despatch box (the 'speaking lectern' in the House of Representatives in Parliament) about Labor leader Anthony Albanese and issues of "corruption" in Labor, etc, when notoriously pro-LNP biased Speaker Tony Smith, himself Liberal, actually stopped Scummo and directed that he withdraw the 'corruption imputation'...he explained to Scummo, such a Speaker's direction must be followed by an immediate 'withdrawal' of the identified 'imputation'...but not only did Scummo not withdraw it, he argued at length that it was okay for him to do it because a Labor member had used the term...the Speaker repeatedly told Scummo that it wasn't a debate, withdraw as directed, and Scummo repeatedly argued...(and in the middle of that abused the Leader of Opposition Business Tony Bourke with a bullying 'and you can sit down'-Ed)...and here's the link to this extraordinary performance... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuCzHpTFyII
I heard this live via ABC/BBC Radio, but even then it didn't prepare me for the live footage with Scummo's sneering and posturing and oozing animosity and arrogance...for a brief moment it looks like Tony Smith is going against his long-established pro-Liberal bias, but he then allows Scummo to rabbit-on repeatedly with his 'explanation'...(and then Scummo eventually pseudo-withdraws it as though he's magnanimously doing the Speaker a big favour rather than following the direct ruling-Ed)...and as others have quite rightly pointed out, ultimately all of those repeated statements about corruption end up officially on the Hansard...(and the Speaker's position is hugely diminished and undermined, where-in Scummo has said 'do what I want mate'-Ed)...indeed, the last bastardised vestiges of Democracy get trampled under foot by a pathological bully, liar, and wannabe' despot...and 'Corruption' has been a big topic in the media and Parliament, etc, all this week, following the Sixty Minutes program (Channel 9) 'expose' about alleged 'branch-stacking' by Labor in Victoria...(what?! what about the litany of literally $billions of Federal LNP Rorts and Institutionalised Thievery? surely that's more important than inter-factional shenanigans at a State level? -Ed)...mate, anyone who's even vaguely au fait with the rancidly pro-LNP bias of Australia's Main Stream Media, knew ahead of time that this heavily promoted 'expose' was never going to look at any of the LNP's definable criminality...
And it therefore came as no surprise that Channel 9, with the former Howard-era Liberal Treasurer Peter Costello as it's Chair, went stampeding past all of the LNP's criminality and attacked the Victorian Labor Party...(this just looks like blatant political payback against Victorian Premier Dan Andrews, motivated by Dan's clear leadership of the National Cabinet and the way he repeatedly left Scummo floundering in his (Dan's) wake-Ed)...indeed, I'm no Dan Fan but he was one of several State Premiers who made Scummo look like a bumbling incompetent as they led the early campaign against the COVID19 Pandemic, eg, State closures were State decisions, etc...(it is so patently obvious that this is partly payback and equally an act of distraction away from the LNP's disastrous last few weeks with the $60billion JobKeeper debacle, the RoboDebt Illegality Admission, their multiple other issues around the gross failures of JobKeeper and JobSeeker, etc-Ed)...and don't forget Scummo's extraordinary comments about "no slavery in Australia"...(yeah, all that, it's classic distraction, and the complicit pro-LNP MSM have dutifully complied, maniacally obsessing about the 'branch-stacking' stuff and ignoring all else-Ed)...and even if that Victorian Labor stuff is all true, and it looks as though it is, what about the multiple 'branch-stacking' issues with the LNP?...(like Scummo's 82-8 loss for pre-selection in the seat of Cook, followed by his Murdoch-supported traitorous and deceitful back-stabbing campaign that saw selected candidate Michael Towke dumped and Scummo installed in his place-Ed)...as one perfect example amongst many...
There are currently multiple questions/issues with the 'branch-stacking' gross over-representation of Pentecostals in the Federal Parliament, and with the Mormons...(and several other 'religious denominations', all looking to excercise influence either by numbers or directly-Ed)...indeed, but there's always been issues of religion imposing itself on politics, etc, and the big question for today, did Tony Pasin 'branch-stack' his pre-selection for the 2013 Federal Election?...(ooo, do tell-Ed)...well, as the story goes, a number of Tony supporters were bussed to Murray Bridge, 350kms away, to vote incumbent Patrick Secker out and our man Tony in...(fascinating-Ed)...ain't it though...and I was immediately reminded of this when the Vic Labor story aired, but it really condensed as an issue worth exploring on Thursday this week just past (June 18), when I heard Tony on the ABC South East in the morning, and then live from Federal Parliament that arvo...(ahh, stereo-Tones, Two Tones if you will-Ed)...I think I will...anyhoos, it was Tony's repeated snide comments about Dan Andrews and references to the 'branch-stacking' stuff that decided the issue for me, and here we are...(I thought Tony's effort in Parliament was particularly amusing, where-as most LNP stooges start out relatively normally and quickly build to a shreeky crescendo, Tony just started at yelling and maintained his self-satisfied snidery at volume-Ed)...yeeha...
So, the questions are perfectly appropriate, and if I'm completely off the mark, I'm sure that I'll hear from Tony, after all, he is a lawyer...and so, to start at the beginning...
1) Were people bussed/taken/whatevs to Murray Bridge?
2) And if so, what was Tony's role in this?
3) And if so, when did those people become Liberal members? and;
4) Following allegations that Labor paid for some of the memberships in this recent branch-stacking' stuff, and it has been an issue historically, eg, when Liberal Malcolm Turnbull openly admitted to paying for memberships, etc, who paid for these Tony-supporter memberships?
And it's exactly that simple, and can easily be checked/refuted/whatevs via the Electoral Role, or rather, the Liberal Membership Register, and via the receipts for those memberships, etc...(ah, I see, so the LMR will show who was registered and most importantly when, and possibly if they then voted for Tony, etc, and if there's a sudden rush of membership enrolments immediately prior to the pre-selection, then there's clearly further investigation needed-Ed)...yep, and I've heard repeated references to the transporting of members to Murray Bridge, which may in itself be perfectly legal/appropriate, etc, etc, but these are still all perfectly reasonable questions, not least of all because of Tony's conduct last week...can't wait to hear the answers...
And if y'all reckon that I'm biased against the LNP and biased toward and/or unfair on Tones, etc, then I'll just re-iterate that he's only one of a long list of politicians, police, public servants, etc, whom I'd like to see goaled for their complicit participation in the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up, eg, former South Australian Labor Premiers Mike Rann and Jay Weatherill, their Attorneys-General Michael Atkinson and li'l Johnny Rau, Labor PM Julia Gillard, Labor Uber-Stooge Rory McEwen, etc, etc, etc...
