Well I Got It Half Right - Why Mt Gambier City Council Must Be Removed

Howdy Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Moldova...welcome again y'all to The Mount Gambier Independent...please insert here all my usual whinging about how I'm struggling to give a damn about my community/society/species, and equally struggling with doing this 'ere blog...what really concerns me is that, despite the normal/reasonable/remarkable people I have met from here abouts, my opinion of Mt Gambier is still firmly mired in the contempt and loathing born of years of dealing with the pro-paedophile corruption that defines this sick li'l town to me...(hardly your fault mate, and if anything, it's knowing 'decent people' that just makes it all that much harder to deal with-Ed)...yeah, fair point, it'd be a whole lot easier if I could just lump everyone together and write them all off as corrupt little shreckers...(I blame those decent people, the selfish bastards-Ed)...yeah, let's do that, the bastards!...

The Selfies Team:...I know my self well enough that I can confidently say that this 'one post per week' thing simply isn't working and ain't ever gunna' work because if I walk away from the blog for a coupla' days it's very, very difficult to come back to it...(it's all that 'having some semblance of self-esteem' nonsense and 'enjoying your life for the first time in gourd knows how long' malarchy-Ed)...indeed, that's a big part of it, this 'Self-Esteem' business is a very odd thing to deal with for someone who hasn't experienced it before...I refer availees to the very early post, 'Self Esteem - The Issue I'd Love To Have', and my much more recent declaration that SE has become an issue in my life...don't ask me to nominate a specific date, but earlier this year (2016) I found myself grappling with a weird new sensation, and it very quickly became apparent that that strange state of being was/is Self Esteem...

Language Warning:...because for all the rolled-gold fuck-up of a human being that I am still capable of being, what I have achieved and continue to achieve makes me the shadow of that extraordinary person I never honestly believed could be me...(and where there's the shadow of an extraordinary person, there's an extraordinary person-Ed)...and where there's a shadow there's light, and where there's light there's warmth, and where there's warmth and light there's growth, and shebang! Self Esteem...(whatta ya' know-Ed)...and it's not about being arrogant or vain or whatevs, it's about confidence/self-belief...answer me this availee, does who I am detract from what I've achieved with this 'ere blog, my Court stuff, etc? or, is what I've achieved extraordinary considering who/what/whatevs I am?...(well, at the very least, you're working furiously to be accurate and factual, and you've stared-down a wall of threats and harassment, etc, and you've gotta' get some credit for that stuff...and no-one can say you haven't tried-Ed)...fair enough, cheers...and that's enough airy-fairy self-discovery shizzle, to the blog!...

Please find attached below the relevant pages from the MGC Council Agendas for their July 2016 and August 2016 Full Council meetings...(is that the stuff from July when half of them were absent and then there was no 'Seconder' for that bizarre 'Lapse' of the original Motion to corruptly syphon-off $480,000 of Ratepayers hard-earned* by handing it to the rankly corrupt self-appointed Tourism Mount Gambier group? that meeting?-Ed)...like I'd forgotten...dear availee, if you haven't yet read the recent posts re this bizarre process, please do...in brief, founding TMG Board member Steve Perryman, former MG Mayor and current MGC Councillor, used the recent Budget meetings to argue for cuts to Council services so as to fund his organisation, but he has been absent from the Full Meetings where the funding leapt to $450,000 over 3 years, as voted through last meeting, August 16th 2016...(wow-Ed)...  (*means money)

And I call the Tourism Mount Gambier a "rankly corrupt self-appointed" organisation because it involves and was set-up by the rankly corrupt former Member for Mount Gambier Rory McEwen, his equally corrupt mate, Councillor Steve Perryman, and RDA Tourism Development Officer Biddie (nee Tietz) Shearing, herself a former MGC Councillor...my personal experience of each of these people is that they are corrupt, full stop...beyond that, it is not being glibly facetious to state that it would be far quicker to discuss MGC Councils' non-corrupt dealings than to constantly trawl through this school of officious corruption...

Please note that the wording of these Agenda items is very carefully chosen to misrepresent the rankly corrupt realities associated with this farcically Nepotistic process/outcome...(Council has worked very hard to furiously back-pedal away from said realities-Ed)...absolutely they have, this is all very carefully manipulated to have the 'official version' present a vaguely appropriate process/outcome/organisation that might give these wholly corrupt dealings some sense of credibility...(good luck with that-Ed)...indeed, I'd reckon that many availees of this 'ere blog will immediately pick-up on these clumsy and crass deceits and manipulations, particularly as we've already trudged through the factual realities re this corrupt TMG stoogefest in recent posts...(remind me-Ed)...

Tourism Mount Gambier is a self-appointed group claiming to represent Mt Gambier and Districts, a group that has been repeatedly, officially identified as a "sub-committee of the Mt Gambier Chamber of Commerce"...(in previous posts we've covered all the rank corruption and smug contempt for Ratepayers as perpetrated by Steve Perryman in that extraordinarily self-serving slandering of disabled people as part of his plans/demands, made during Councils' 2016/17 Budget Meetings, demands to slash basic Council maintenance programs, eg, tree-lopping and footpath maintenance, so as to free-up the $160,000 that he/TMG wanted-Ed)...indeed, it's not the self-justified belligerence or the blatant greed, it's the offensive belittling of people for being who they are...disgraceful, absolutely bloody disgraceful, and every other Councillor just sat there, not one single word to tell Stevo mate...(maaate-Ed)...to pull his bloody head in...(not even from Mayor Lee?-Ed)...seriously Ed?!...(sorry, sorry, no time for jokes-Ed)...thankyou... 

I have so many of these types of correspondence, particularly re the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up...these are letters/documents/Motions carefully drafted to present a preferred version of events to a reader who might know only the broader details, or none at all...this very official, very 'templated' document is designed 1) for those who have read only that document, as prepared by 2) people keen to create a wall of deniability between the reality of their actions, and what they want to be seen to have done...and here with this Council/TMG corruption, here is the textbook example from the textbook corruption playbook that is the Mount Gambier City Council...

Apologies that yet again I've spewed forth without actually threatening to engage directly with the promised subject matter, but that's just the way we roll here at TMGI, so I'll go straight into another post re this TMG stuff and specifically dissect the manipulative language, the careful omissions, and the very deliberate deceits that are manifest in this festival of corruption...(indeed, it's a 'Manifestival of Corruption'-Ed)...witty Wilde, witty...'Manifestival' - an extended, extensive, and thorough almost definitive celebration or carnival (of corruption)...I like it, I'm going to use it in conversations...

But, despite the bare-faced corruption of the entire MGC Council in voting to approve this corrupt funding for this wholly corrupted group, the crowning glory of the night (August 16th 2016) was former The Border Watch Editor and my mate Councillor Frank 'The Jellyfish That Grew A Spine And Roared Like A Mouse From It's Ivory Tower' Morello and his little effort re public transport in Mt Gambier...(you mean the City Bus that only runs 9am - 5pm on weekdays with no service at all weekends or public holidays?-Ed)...that's the one...(that literally everyone wanted to see operating from a centralised terminus at the Rail Lands, preferably from a renovated/refurbished Old Rail Station building, way back in 2005/06?-Ed)...yeah...(that Council doesn't fund at all, whilst barely maintaining the few shelters that do exist?-Ed)...right...(as opposed to the $300,000+ that Council provide in funding to the Riddoch Art gallery?-Ed)....gee...(which, I understand, doesn't include the 'peppercorn lease' on the recently renovated premises, as all paid for by Ratepayers?-Ed)...yeah, probably...

Anyhoos, Frank got-up, declared a Conflict of Interest because he runs the Helpmann Theatre, then proceeded in a Self-Righteously direction, straight into a power-whinge about how the school buses park across the small side carpark (Ferrers St) where the theatre's loading bay is...for 3 minutes per day...(wow-Ed)...orrr yeah, not one bloody cent for public transport...$450,000 for the TMG corruption, and well over $300,000 for the Riddoch, but not Cent One for buses...(not nuthin'?-Ed)...nuthin' but a shreckin' whinge about where the buses are forced to park/terminate/whatevs because that's where Council has forced them to be...(for 3 minutes a day?-Ed)...Frank's own words...(wow-Ed)...and when Frank voted for that $450k for the TMG, he had his hand up so fast I thought his arm was gunna' fly right out of 'is sleeve and embed itself in the ceiling...(thudddrrrrrrrrrrr!-Ed)...exactly...

And I've stayed right away from the recent shenanigans that have resulted in half the Riddoch Board resigning/leaving/whatevs, and MGC Council taking over the entire thing, hence the massive funding, etc, but it's the same template as the TMG stuff...run by MGC Council, therefore highly corrupt, and as being told what to do by Rory McEwen, who is wholly corrupt...multiply 'highly corrupt' by 'wholly corrupt'...you do the math...

A Complete Lack Of De' Quorum

Howdy Russia, United Kingdom, Turkey, and the United States of America, and welcome y'all else...and particularly here in l'il ol' Mt Gambier 'cos this here post is another severely pun-laden ridiculing of Mt Gambier City Council, following-on directly from the last 'Council' post which was pretty much a pun-laden ridiculing of MGCC...(and one wouldn't want to become so predictable, now would one?-Ed)...and I've let a bunch of other stuff go, like the Wind Turbine stuff and the extraordinary plethora of vacuous excuses and lies pouring out of SA Labor Minister Tom Koutsontonis as he blithely tries to wave away responsibility for the collapse of the State's electricity supply during Julys' biggish storm...('urrrrrgh, it's not my fault, the dog ate my Heywood Interconnector, urrrrrgh'-Ed)...Ed! that was an uncanny rendition of the good Ministers' bitchin' about how it was quite literally everybody elses' fault but his governments'...('urrrrrgh'-Ed)...ok, that's enough...

This is Why I Go To Council Meetings:...following directly on from the last post specifically about Council, and the front-page news, etc, that the self-appointed group calling itself 'Tourism Mount Gambier' was gunna' save us all...(by doing exactly what's happening anyway?-Ed)...that's the one...(to achieve outcomes already being achieved?-Ed)...spot on...(strewth-Ed)...well here below is how The Border Watch has reported the truly bizarre dysfunction of what went down at MGC Council's Full Meeting on Tuesday evening July 19th 2016...well, Semi-full Meeting, there were 5 absentees...(5?...you sure?...that seems an awful lot-Ed)...indeed, 5 missing from a total of 13 (being Mayor, CEO, Operations Manager, and 10 Councillors), 5 of 13 is just under 40%...Mayor Lee, CEO McShane, and Councillors Perryman, Lynagh, and Morello were all absent, with Deputy-Mayor Richardson presiding and Mr Humphries as Acting CEO...

And that's 2 meetings in a row that Mayor Andrew Lee has failed to attend...(well the first was for his honeymoon apparently-Ed)...whatevs, don't care, unless actually physically unable due to health there's no excuse, and a honeymoon certainly ain't an excuse...the Mayor has a full calendar of Council meetings, etc, and knows exactly when the Full Meetings are...if it's good enough for the Mayor to do things like swan-off to China on the Ratepayers' dollar, and then, without any Public Consultation, sign secret agreements with the Chinese government, which is exactly what this Mayor/Council has done, then that same Mayor, who does receive Ratepayer funded payment and benefits for this honour, then they can organise themselves around their obligations to the Ratepayers of Mt Gambier, the Ratepayers who pay for all this, and front-up for the bloody meetings...whatever the 'excuse', missing 2 meetings in a row is unacceptable...(wasn't he also absent earlier this year?-Ed)...possibly, I'd have to check, but whatevs, that's at least 2 missed of 12 meetings for this calendar year already, and there's still 5 more meetings to come in 2016, we've only had the 7 thus far...that's the Mayor absent 2 of 7 meetings...simply not good enough...

I repeat my call for the rankly corrupt Mt Gambier City Council to make publicly available this 'Agreement' as signed with the Chinese government...what exactly has this Nepotistic Council signed on our behalf without us ever seeing it or knowing exactly what we're being signed-up to/for...and I'll say it again, I view with deep concern the actions of this wholly corrupt Council when they are here in their own Chambers right in the middle of their own community, so gourd only knows what level of corruption they're capable of in closed rooms in foreign lands...(exactly-Ed)...    

As the meeting July kicked-off, I swear that I'd have bet every-not-very-much I have on these absenteeisms being driven by our good friend, Plausible Denial...(ahh, you mean that these individuals were absent so that when the rankly corrupt Tourism Mount Gambier funding, now at $480,000 across 3 years, with $350,000 of that to employ a dedicated 'Tourism Officer', etc, when that Nepotistically corrupt funding was approved, Perryman, McShane, and Mayor Lee could squeal 'it's got nothing to with me! I wasn't even there'-Ed)...exactly Ed, that's what I thought, the Plausible Denial of I Wasn't Even There...but it's too late for Stevo mate...(maaate-Ed)...because that ship has already sailed right-off into the Sea of Public Opinion...

Remember dear availees how my mate Stevo...(maaate-Ed)...himself a Board member of the self-appointed TMG, Stevo deliberately, cynically, and clearly unlawfully shat unceremoniously on every aspect of Local Government Association legislation re Conflict Of Interest matters, including the new and very specific 2016 LGA COI provisions/guidelines, as rolled-out earlier this year to local Councils via a series of workshops/trainings...Stevo dumped a steaming heap of contempt right on it when he led the charge in Council's recent-ish 2016/17 Budget Special Meetings, particularly on hacking-back other Council services to free-up what was then $160,000 for the TMG clowns...(ah yes, when Council voted to 'suspend usual procedures', in-and-of-itself perfectly appropriate, particularly for the open discussion/exchange required in sorting-out aspects of a Budget, but during this 'suspension' Stevo called for Council to cut-back on Street Tree and Pavement maintenance, with an accompanying charming jibe about the ridiculousness of Political Correctness and 'disabled people'-Ed)...indeed, he is quite the arse... 

(And then when Council went back into Formal mode to vote on this funding, Stevo immediately leapt-up and smugly declared a 'Non-Pecuniary Conflict of Interest'?-Ed)...spot on...(and walked out whilst Council voted to ratify that funding?-Ed)...exactly...(wow-Ed)...I know...(they really are quite extraordinarily corrupt-Ed)...I know...and right there, there's Stevo's unabashed contempt for the Ratepayers of Mt Gambier and the institutions of Local Government, specifically Mt Gambier City Council, and most specifically the office of Mayor...good ol' Stevo...(maaate-Ed)...a definable litany of corruption in the Mayorship, a commitment to corruption that hasn't waned as a Councillor...(and ahead of all of that, his critically complicit role in the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up (2002), not least of all as Liberal candidate in the 2010 South Australian Election-Ed)...yay for Stevo...

And as put to me though I cannot prove it though I trust my sources, Stevos' incredibly corrupt manipulation of the COI legislation re this TMG corruption, Stevos' conduct has been discussed at other Councils' recent COI trainings/workshops as being exactly what a Councillor shouldn't do re this COI stuff...Stevo mate...(maaate-Ed)...you are quite literally the talk of the town in quantifying/personifying corrupt behaviour in Local Government...and Stevo mate...(maaate-Ed)...have a wild guess as to where that info was originally sourced...(well it sure as heck wasn't in The Border Watch or any other media-Ed)...think Ed, in this exciting new era of Citizen Journalists and blogs and shizzle...(ummm, nooo, I, ummm, oh, oh, us, I mean this 'ere blog, TMGI, it was TMGI-Ed)...exactly cobber, TMGI, 'Gettin' Right Amongst It Since January 2013'...(hurrah!-Ed)...how's about that Stevo mate, you're literally a textbook study in Council Corruption, as being discussed in other Councils, and all courtesy of this 'ere blog, The Mount Gambier Independent...(get in my son-Ed)...absolutely...

Anyhoos, somehow this funding went from this $160,000 for 1 year to $480,000 over 3, and the wage for this 'Tourism Officer' from $90,000 for that year out to $350,000 for the 3...and that's $350k for a role/position that already exists inside Regional Development Australia (RDA), as currently occupied by RDA Tourism Development Officer Biddie Shearing (nee Tietz), herself a former Mt Gambier City Councillor and as such personally involved in a series of rankly corrupt Tenders/grants/whatevs as is MGC Councils' usual modus operandi...anyhoos, so's $480,000 over 3 years is what came up for the vote on July 19th...but we nearly didn't get as far as a vote...(how come?-Ed)...because that particular Council Committee, the Corporate and Community Services Committee, couldn't do any business at their dedicated meeting earlier in the month because they didn't have a quorum...(whaaa?!-Ed)...oh yeah, even Acting-Mayor Richardson commented that it would be nice if absentee Councillors let the others know so's that they, the Others, didn't go to the bother of showing-up for a pointless non-meeting...(wow-Ed)...   

Despite this minor setback, Council plowed ahead at the Full Meeting with discussing and voting on issues re the CCSC...(how?-Ed)...what?...(how? how could Council continue with discussing the issues from the CCSC if there wasn't a CCSC meeting?-Ed)...look, I know, or rather, I don't know, but that's what they did, and it included the Motion/vote re the $480,000 for TMG...(wow-Ed)...indeed, only, when this Motion was tabled, nobody would 'Second' the Motion...(sorry what?!-Ed)...yeah, stony silence, nobody 'Seconded' the Motion...Acting-Mayor Richardson stated that if there was no-one to 'Second' it then it would lapse, there was a continued silence, and A-M Richardson declared the Motion 'Lapsed', and they went onto the next point/issue...(I, wow, I don't know what to say-Ed)...mate, I was there and I don't believe it either...just bizarre...

No quorum for the CCSC, but then discuss/Motion/vote on various issues from that non-meeting, including this rankly corrupt funding for the equally corrupt Tourism Mount Gambier, itself a Motion that collapses in silence due to a lack of support so absolute it didn't even get a 'Seconder'...and how does the mighty The Border Watch present this unfettered Debasco (debacle/fiasco)?...they do it as attached below there...buried on page 7 (Thursday July 21st 2016), after 5 other stories sourced from that July 19th meeting...(what a joke! page 7?-Ed)...yep, as attached...from TBW front page 'A Must-Have Salvation For All' to page 7 'Whatevs'...and even that farcical article, that 'Farticle' if you will...(I certainly will, that 'Farticle', excellent-Ed)...that 'Farticle' is riddled with inaccuracies and lies...(good ol' TBW, go' bless, go' bless-Ed)...indeed...and the other 'Farticle' is from the next days' TBW...

Dear Googles:...why do you continue to allow these people to continue to manipulate you into being complicit in their definable Pro-Paedophile Corruption...the attached letter (below) from Jay Weatherill to DeGaris Lawyers clearly shows that he, Weatherill, intervened personally to stop Comm Mullighan's investigation of the St Martins Cover-up...and I say "stop" because Comm Mullighan was already investigating St Martins and had met with us parents several times, we'd provided him reams of documentation, he had personally asked Premier Mike Rann to be allowed to add St Martins to his Royal Commission, etc, etc...(why did he have to ask?-Ed)...dunno'...(but he was the Royal Commissioner, he had the powers to investigate whatevs he wanted-Ed)...indeed, it casts a huge doubt-shaped shadow across Comm Mullighan's genuineness regarding us and St Martins, but that's an issue for another post, today we're dealing with this removed post...(fair enough-Ed)...

I remind availees that on June 1st 2012 I managed to corner Jay mate...(maaate-Ed)...on ABC Radio Adelaide, and he claimed he 'didn't recall' his role in the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up, a role irrefutably defined below, yet again, by the letter from FAYS Minister Weatherill from August 25th 2005 (attached), and as accompanied by then Premier Mike Ranns' own letter (August 13th 2005) to lawyer Bill DeGaris...(hello Billy-Ed)...here, again, is the irrefutable proof that, 1) Comm Mullighan was liaising/meeting with families re the St Martins Cover-up, and, 2) Rann and Weatherill were intimately aware of the details re St Martins, but then, despite this intimate knowledge and direct contact with Comm Mullighan, etc, directly refused appropriate 'official' investigation by the man who was, clearly, already 'unofficially' investigating St Martins...

A Tale Of Two Issues

Hello Kenya, Russia, China, and India and welcome to a 'better late than never' post...despite ongoing problems I do intend to continue with this 'ere blog, The Mount Gambier Independent...(and indeed you're doing it now-Ed)...indeed, but it's been a very long 2 weeks since the last post and it's been a real struggle to get back to even doing this...not even going to attempt humour, got a bunch of stuff going on so's I'm just going to kick-off on 2 issues and do my best, cheers...

Fictitious Disorder:...as I heard discussed at length on the ABC/BBC World Service Radio, is the hilarious nomenclature for a condition otherwise described as a sort of 'social media Munchausen's', where Munchausen's Syndrome is broadly defined as acts of self-harm for attention...this FD involves people creating/discussing false maladies on Facebook/forums/chatrooms/whatevs, in what often becomes escalating behaviour where the alleged afflictions become more and more extreme...(a bit like that Aussie sheila Belle Gibson who claimed to have survived Cancer and had blogs and sponsors and whatevs, but then it turns-out to be all bollocks, she made it all up, never had Cancer-Ed)...well indeed, very much in that vein, although I didn't hear her mentioned...and most do it for attention, etc, and not with any specifically malicious intent, a much smaller number do it deliberately as a scam...elsewhere...

July/August 2016 is the 14th Anniversary of my Non-Hodgkins Cancer diagnosis...it was July 29th 2004 that I was X-rayed at Mt Gambier hospital and found to have a 16cm x 12cm mass right in the centre of my chest, and then discharged...(wow-Ed)...I know...this stuff is covered in detail in some early posts, eg, February 2013, so I won't run through it all again...suffice to say that I'm celebrating the extraordinary reality that in August 2004 no-one thought I'd see my 39th birthday only months away, let alone get to begin again at 40...(and 45 was right out!-Ed)...absolutely, and nice Monty Python reference there too, 'Holy Hand-grenade of Antioch'?...(that's the one, from The Holy Grail-Ed)...hilarious, but we digress...so, so very crook at 38 nearing 39, and yet here am the poor old bastard I, now burdened with the looming potential reality of possibly turning Hawaii...("Hawaii"?-Ed)...5-0...(ah, nice-Ed)...

The Elephant In The Tomb:...from August 2004 to February 2005 I had 8 rounds of CHOP, the Chemotherapy regime consisting of 4 chemicals/drugs fed intravenously over 2-3 hours, and given/taken every 3 weeks, and as followed by a strong 'steroid' injection the day after each Chemo...in short, I had enough Chemo to kill an elephant, to kill a tumour big enough to kill a horse...(a mild exaggeration, if not quite Gibson-esque-Ed)...not at all, if you took all the Chemo and steroids and gave it to an elephant in one hit, you'd kill it stone-dead...(fair enough-Ed)...and during one of the many initial scans/tests, the normal biopsy needle was too small for the size of the tumour, and they brought-out "the one used on horses"...(that's what they actually said?-Ed)...yep, quote-unquote, and the nurse on my right was holding my hand and said, "don't look at it, just look at me", and that's exactly what I did...so's I can tell ya' what it feels like to have the biopsy horse-needle through the chest, can tell ya' what it sounds like and what it feels like when it goes "crunch", but can't tell ya' what it looks like...(what a charming story, does it come with marshmallows?-Ed)...

What I can and will say is that when push comes to shove, I sir, I have been to The Crunch, indeed, I have quite possibly been The Crunch...(shazzam!-Ed)...and also please note that they had "the one used on horses" ready to hand, indicating that it likely wasn't the first time they'd had to haul it out on a human...(or you-Ed)...yes, thankyou! or me...

And I survived all that and then some and then a bit more and have the actual scars to prove it, and am obviously still here to whinge about that...(and a coupla' other things-Ed)...and my teeth are bad but could be much worse, and the arthritis stuff ain't great, and ya' can't go through an experience like that without it taking a toll...place those stressors on and/or in your body and you will pay a price...(and on your mind no doubt-Ed)...indeed, and in so many ways, and not least of all the 'Survivor Guilt' stuff...I'll get into all this stuff in more detail in future posts on the Health Issues confronting South Oz...(and it ain't good news, particularly re the new Adelaide Hospital-Ed)...indeed, it's not very positive stuff is it, and in some ways it's very confronting and it's certainly very, very concerning...oh, and re the recent re-revelation re the multiple Prostate Cancer mis-diagnosis, the latest in a recent series of mis-treatments and/or mis-diagnosis, I re-remind availees that I was also one of the approx 1,000 people not correctly Radiotherapy-treated in March/April 2005...more laters...

The St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up:...is of course my main bug-bear and the June long weekend anniversary (the 14th) has just pounded me into the ground like a big, hairy, angry tent-peg, and that pounding has been, um, compounded by the continual reportage of the cynically farcical debasco that is the Federal Child Abuse Royal Commission...(is that the Royal Commission Into Institutional Responses that refuses to look at the St Martins case, and indeed, has never publicly mentioned and/or investigated the Lutheran Church?-Ed)...yes, that would be the one...it's apparently winding-up some time soon having refused to even look at St Martins...(and if the Royal Commission isn't looking at St Martins, with it's well documented litany of bureaucratic failures and refusals and dysfunction, etc, if they ain't even lookin' at St Martins, then what else is going under the carpet as well?-Ed)...and exactly, that's exactly the point, well, both points...

1) how can the Commission not just ignore but actually refuse to look at St Martins? the St Martins Cover-up, even if it was originally genuine mistakes that were then covered-up, etc, whatevs, what has happened with St Martins and how the Lutherans and Authorities have responded/reacted, etc, all of this is exactly what the Commission is supposedly looking at...and 2) given the Commission has refused to acknowledge the extraordinary 'official' conduct re St Martins, what else potentially remains undiscovered and unresolved?...this and what else?...

I do appreciate that I've covered this same ground repeatedly, and can only apologise to availees that this post and the next few are highly likely to be short, staggering shadows of the epic statutes that have preceded them...(strewth-Ed)...but the point is, there will be more posts...I am down if not quite out, and clearly not too proud to admit it, but I ain't goin' nowhere re this 'ere blog...well other than forward, I am going forward with this 'ere blog, ain't never givin' it up 'til it don't need to be done no more...(and I'm sorry, but I just can't see that happening anytime real soon-Ed)...yeah, maybe, maybe not...a few people have commented to me though about the apparent appearance of some fractious cracks in the rancorous ranks of various Vested Interests because of some angry old bastard with 'is ugly blog...(huzzah!-Ed)...or was that an ugly old bastard with 'is angry blog?...(I think it all boils down to the same thing-Ed)...

Is apparently everyone's fault other than the SA Labor government...(the people actually responsible-Ed)...absolutely...a diatribe of denial via a most accommodating and massively pro-Renewables ABC Radio, including some clown from New South Wales who actually blamed "the market"...(but 'the market' is an abstract construct that is determined by actual physical issues of production/supply vs usage/demand, not vice versa-Ed)...I know, I know, absolutely ludicrous redefining of fundamentally undeniable realities to support Renewables, no matter what...and that's what really pisses me off...

Just for the record, again, I am absolutely pro-Renewable Energy Production and minimising Coal-based pollution, etc, and I do not support Nuclear, etc, etc, all very Greenie really, and that's why it really pisses me right-off when people engage in such biased refusal to acknowledge the failings of production methods like Wind Turbines, particularly with the bloody Turbines, and the hugely vulnerable position that SA currently finds itself in, as witnessed over the previous week, etc...unwavering support that ignores the facts makes for very difficult discussions re genuine options...(well if you won't admit the problems, how can you ever hope to address and rectify them?-Ed)...exactly?...these people piss me off because they 1) are near impossible to debate with because they won't admit any fault or failing, and 2) having defined themselves thusly, self-undermine the good things they do have to say...and often they do have good things to say and with genuine intent...however, effective and responsible policy on any issue cannot be achieved by people who are 'barracking' for a particular element...

Paragraph 1:...where "bold" means 'bold-as-brass', as in 'these vested interests are bold-as-brass with their orchestrated, institutionalised corruption, as witnessed with this latest plan to syphon Ratepayers' monies straight into the pockets of MGC Councillors and their Vested Interest mates'...(ummm, in my dictionary it says 'bold' means brave, courageous-Ed)...you've got to read between the lines Ed...(dude, you're writing the lines you're reading between-Ed)...no, I'm writing what I read between those lines as supplied...(ok, fair enough, so you're saying that the 'boldness' of this plan lies not in it's courage, it lies in it's sheer audacity, its' arrogance, and its' bare-faced obviousness?-Ed)...exactly...

P2:...'Tourism Mount Gambier' is a self-appointed group of Vested Interests, people who are largely responsible for the unholy mess that is Mt Gambier...have a good hard look at your City people, it's an embarrassing joke...I note that founding member of TMG and former Member for Mt Gambier, Rory McEwen, my mate Rory, he's just disappeared out of the discussion, but not to fear, there's his little mate Steve Perryman...(ya' know, I still haven't forgotten nor gotten over Stevo mates' Mayoral valedictory speech in 2014, and how casually he thanked Rory for 'introducing me (sic) to the people who made my political career'-Ed)...indeed, and I'd love for Steve to explain exactly who these people are and just exactly what 'making' his political career involved...(well from Steves' end, it involves thuggish pro-paedophile corruption-Ed)...well obviously, but what else?...(setting-up corrupt projects with corrupt Tender processes to drain Ratepayers monies into his own pockets and/or the pockets of his mates?-Ed)...well quite...

I have not seen this 'bold plan', not aware that anyone has, but I guarantee you that 'Tourism Mount Gambier' and its' 'plan' functions in the exact way that Council does, designed and executed to directly profit its' constituent members and their friends...

P3-4:...state that TMG aims to achieve exactly the same goals, eg, visitor numbers, revenue raised, etc, as the SA Tourism Commission, and all at a rate already being achieved...Ratepayers will be paying for a self-appointed group of self-important shonks to supposedly achieve that which the State body is doing anyway...(and paying for one of TMGs' Vested Interest mates to be employed full-time on $115,000pa-Ed)...well that's in P5-6, but yes,exactly...

P5-6:...sorry if I missed this '3 year funding' discussion, but I was only aware of the $160,000 in the 2016/17 budget, but I'm certain that the original 'wage' for this "tourism specialist" was $90,000...(wow, a $25,000pa raise before the position is even created, great work if you can get it-Ed)...and I guarantee you that this massively lucrative position will go to one of the rancidly corrupt and incompetent clowns from this band of Vested Interests...(probably Rory McEwen or Biddie (Tietz) Shearing-Ed)...yep, some chronically corrupt stooge...and thanks for the reminder Ed, that former MGC Councillor Biddie Shearing is currently traipsing about the globe on the Ratepayers/Taxpayers dollar as the Regional Development Australia Tourism Development Officer, having been anointed to that position directly from her leading role in the failure of previous 'tourism groups'...(it's the Grant King Resumé isn't it...be rankly incompetent, sure, but do demonstrate a gross selfishness and a willingness and capacity for rank corruption and running the MGC Council/Labor government line/agenda, and bingo, you're in!-Ed)...indeed, the exact Resumé that saw Grant King simultaneously appointed head of RDA and the Mt Gambier HACS, directly following the rank corruption of the Green Phone collapse...a rankly corrupt stooge doing a corrupt Labor governments' bidding...

P7-14:...again describe how TMG are planning to do exactly what's already being done, with the added insult of dragging in 'indigenous' issues...and Council's already involved, they've already Budgeted $160,000 for this first year 2016/17...and most people/operators I know are rabidly scathing of the people involved in this self-appointed debasco (debacle/fiasco)...(it's why Rory has ducked out of sight for the moment, because his name is dirt in this town-Ed)...absolutely...

P15-16:..."the engagement of a senior specialist"...this is rancidly obvious Job-For-A-Mate, likely to be Rory McEwen, Biddie Shearing, Stevo mate...(maaate-Ed)...whoevs, whatevs, there'll be a definitive connection to MGC Council and their Vested Interests mates...beyond that, we supposedly/allegedly already have a dedicated Tourism Development Officer as part of Regional Development Australia, and her name is Biddie Shearing...(wow-Ed)...I know...

P17:..."seeking...external grant funding"...means hoovering-up any available State government funds, to the exclusion of others...given the level of complicit corruption that I have witnessed across MGC Council, the Labor Government, the pathetically irrelevant Liberal 'Opposition', SAPol (police), the Crown Solicitor, the Teachers Registration Board, etc, etc, all entirely complicit re the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up, and the irrefutable fact that Rory McEwen and Steve Perryman are key players in that cover-up, given all that, I envisage Labor 'grants' being awarded and even some 'funding' potentially established, so that the rankly corrupt can use TMG to receive what are effectively rewards for their corruption...(dude, it's the Regional Development Australia set-up all over again, and the $$$millions of grants handed-out to Labors' mates from that $27m 'Forestry Fund', etc-Ed)...indeed, it's exactly like that, there's a litany of these dodgy 'grants' programs and/or Nepotistic appointments......

Last P:...and omg, TBW continues its' fine tradition of flying in the face of reality with nonsensical reportage that contradicts what it is they've just reported themselves...Steve Perryman is a MGC Councillor, and is on the Board of Tourism Mount Gambier...it was Steve mate...(maaate-Ed)...who led the charge in MGC Councils' 2016/17 Budget discussions, vociferously pushing for various Council services to be cutback so as to free-up the $160k for his self-appointed group...I remind availees that Stevo did this whilst these 'Special Budget Meetings' were temporarily but officially 'suspended' to allow general discussion, but as soon as the meetings went back into 'official procedure', Stevo suddenly identifies his allegedly "non-pecuniary interest" as a Board member of TMG, and walks out for the official vote...here large as life is Stevos' arrogance, his blatant contempt for the fundamental principles of Conflict Of Interest, carefully manipulating COI provisions in absolute knowledge of exactly what he was doing...

This entire set-up, Tourism Mount Gambier in and of itself, is just a corrupt front for corrupt people to more efficiently avail themselves of Taxpayers'/Ratepayers' money, and as supported by a corrupt Mt Gambier City Council...you people are a bloody disgrace...I also remind availees that TMG has been reported as being a "sub-committee" of the Mt Gambier Chamber of Commerce, who have people on the TMG Board, so it looks like Ratepayers are directly funding the Chamber of Commerce now as well...(wow-Ed)...

Not just a fantastic Stevie Ray Vaughn song...(and album-Ed)...indeed, and album, but also the theme track for South Australia's fundamentally rooted Electricity production/supply system...(is it technically correct to describe something so dysfunctional as a "system"?-Ed)...good point...anyhoos, last week we had a fairly full-on storm system move through the state with lottsa' rain and strong winds, lightning strikes, and some minor flooding, lottsa' trees blown-over, etc...it was fairly nasty at times, but it was hardly a cyclone/hurricane/whatevs, yet SA's 'Leccy Network collapsed like a pole-axed, half-pissed panda...(uuurrghhh, what you do that for? that really hurt-HPP)...shut it... a bit of wind, and SA's Electricity System went down like a deck of cards in, well, in the wind...SA, the State so committed to Wind Turbines that it had no power because it was too windy, wow...

Deck Of Cads:...are the dickheads, and there is literally no other descriptor that I can summon, the raft of self-involved, self-satisfied, sanctimonious dickheads who constitute the Rann/Weatherill Labor government...(you sure there's no place for you in the modern Labor Party?-Ed)...hilarious I'm sure...anyhoos, these dickheads what have driven SA right off the cliff of base-load self-supply, and into a fathomless pit of reliance on interstate production, with their (Labor's) nonsensical obsession with Wind Turbines and private Solar Subsidies...(and all this basically to pander to those inner-city Adelaide Greenie halfwits who think they know what's going on but still catch their free buses to their new Adelaide Oval or to this weeks' Festival of Whatevs Like I Give A Damn...so over it...whilst out here in the sticks, in SA's largest Regional City, it's 18 months for a basic dental appointment, no public transport at all on weekends or public holidays, Mental Health Services cut, most if not all services cut, jobs cut, Forestry sold-off to pay for that disgraceful stadium bullshit, and on and on it goes-Ed).............

And cheers for the support I do receive and the patience I am shown for the struggles I've been having in continuing with this 'ere blog...it is greatly appreciated by me that people value this 'ere blog and the effort I put into it...and now that I've successfully separated myself from this 'ere blog, so I re-commit to continuing with it, and with a renewed vigour, my usual rigour, and go figure, from the ashes springs the phoenix to spread it's wings and fly again...I am TMGI and TMGI is I and there's no gettin' away from that...over 800 posts over 3 and a half years, a string of defamation threats, a relentless stream of personal abuse, threats, harassment and attempted intimidation, right on through to 19 of the bizzarest 'charges' you could ever hope to generate for the heinous crime of 'blogging' and my very own SAPol (police) 'Operation Baritone' all about me...this is what I have endured, this is what I have achieved, and however it has come to be, this is what I do...and whatevs it is and howevs I does it, I does it good...

And this Self Esteem caper ain't quite all I'd heard it to be, either...it's all well and groovy for me to say 'yay, for the first time in my life I have experienced what I can only describe as Self Esteem, or at least some small semblance of what I understand/believe Self Esteem to be'...easy to say yet somewhat more difficult to maintain...(and yet you do-Ed)...and yet I do Ed, yet I do...Yeti do what the Yeti does...(Yeti? Want Tibet On It?:...because I'm sure that the Totalitarian Communist government that is China will now stop it's bellicose Nationalism/Colonialism/Militarism re it's self-declared ownership of the South China Sea...(why would they do that? they haven't been building-up artificial islands with airstrips, etc, to suddenly stop-Ed)...fair point, but the United Nations has now ruled on the issue and stated unequivocally that the area is not China's but is instead International Waters, or whatevs particular legalistic nomenclature they use...(but China has refused to participate in that process and has equally unequivocally vowed to ignore the finding, screeching about corruption in the UN and bias against them, etc-Ed)...and fair enough, if it went in China's favour there'd be those accusing China of exactly the same behaviour...

For years now I've watched this Council, Mt Gambier City Council, in it's various permutations, act with wholesale corruption, involving multiple and definable Conflict of Interest breaches, Insider Trading, gross Nepotism, dodgy contract after dodgy contract, missing monies, etc, etc, you name, they got it...and it ain't my opinion, it ain't my version of events, I've been right there in the room with these crooked clowns, over and over and over again, watching them run their crooked Circus...Collusion and Corruption, thy name be Mt Gambier City Council...it'd be quicker, much quicker to list the things they've done that aren't crooked, but in the moment I can't actually think of one...(if it wasn't so weepingly sad, it'd be weepingly hilarious-Ed)...indeed, but apart from that, Mt Gambier City Council, you are an absolute disgrace...

Hello in Latvia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, and Spain...cheers y'all and welcome to The Mount Gambier Independent...already apologised once earlier today* for the week-long hiatus, but here's a lame explanation/excuse as to why...not had a great time of it in the lead-up to the 2016 June long weekend and the 14th year of the St Martins Lutheran School Child Abuse Cover-up...it's one thing to promise doin' this 'ere blog and sometimes an entirely different story to deliver...(dude, follow others' advice and ease-up on yourself a little man, you've 'delivered' over and over and over again, for years now, a decade plus if you include the Before Blog times-Ed)...'Before Blog'? what is 'Before Blog'?...(all those years when you and other parents fought tooth and nail against a corruptly complicit  media, before you finally snapped and started this 'ere tome, this 'ere blog, and became the very media itself-Ed)...indeed, snapped like a dry twig with PMT...

I'm the very first to admit the bizarreness inherent in the facts that 1) it was ironically originally the extraordinary conduct of the wholly corrupted Mt Gambier/South Australian media that finally drove me over the edge and right into starting this 'ere blog (January 2013)...and 2) having started, I have thus farly endured all manner of bilious, posturing threat...(yeah, just exactly how many gutless, vacuous 'defamation threats' have you stared down by simply continuing forward with the unpleasant truths? how many now?-Ed)...all of them...(yeah, yeah, I know 'all of them', but could you please quantify that? gimme' a number-Ed)...orrr look, I don't know, heaps?...the Lutherans/their lawyers, the Crown Solicitor, Mt Gambier City Council, 'Bouncin' Billy DeGaris...(hello Billy-Ed)...all the whingin' cowards who had a good ol' bleat to Google about this 'ere blog, screeching about 'defamation' and demanding that my posts be pulled, including the SA Education Dept, the ABC, more from the Lutheran lawyers and all their soulless bullshizzle, 'Bouncin'' Billy again...(oo, you really are a bastard-Ed)...so you keep saying...

(And the third bizzarity?-Ed)...people apparently come to this 'ere blog to find out what's really happening re the issues/stories they see in their local media...people regularly dismiss TBW to me as being a worthless propaganda pamphlet operating for the benefit of the people who own it and their 'Vested Interest' mates...deadset, several people have said this to me outright, 'I read/watch/listen to the local news stuff and then I go to your blog to get the real story'...(and the most obvious example is of course the way that The Border Watch newspaper 'reports' anything to do with li'l ol' you-Ed)...well indeed...and on the subject of Feedback, a quick nod to SCP for the recent 'Comment' re that stuff with TBW as per post OMG TBW, WTF?...nice one centurion...

Holding Fourthly:...I'm now forced to self-represent in the SA Magistrates Court as I defend 19, count them, 19 charges of 'talking about stuff', stuff that's apparently been appropriately investigated by the massively powerful State Authority created to deal with such things, and that has found all involved to be without fault...(now that's bizarre!-Ed)...indeed, and now in a Court case that started in February 2015 and has continued with monthly hearings/adjournments, and is now set down for trial in November 2016...(wow-Ed)...I know...well with all that stuff, I'm forced to be not only the Accused but also the Defender, and on top of all that, also the Reporter because the local media just cannot be trusted to get it even vaguely correct...(not least of all because TBW and South East ABC are both deliberately trying to denigrate and discredit you with carefully worded half-truths and critical omissions-Ed)...yes, and they've hardly been subtle about it either...(I know, TBW keeps stating that you failed to attend the first hearing in February 2015, begrudgingly acknowledging that you 'claim to have not been Summonsed', but refusing to report the truth as they know it, that you were never Summonsed-Ed)...well technically I was Summonsed several times, but yes, the first didn't actually occur until 2 days after the first hearing...

NOTE:...much to my surprise, and a few other peoples', SAPol have confirmed to me in writing that I was not Summonsed to the original hearing February 3rd 2015...this has been repeatedly discussed and confirmed in Court, often in front of the media (The Border Watch and ABC South East), but I'm still waiting for an official explanation as to why/how this happened...also still waiting for an explanation, date, etc, re when I was allegedly charged...(wow-Ed)...I know, 18 months into this 'case' and I'm still yet to be provided an explanation as to why and/or how this extraordinarily important case re this massively powerful piece of legislation, how it came to be in a Courtroom without the alleged defendant, moi, being either charged or Summonsed...    

(Hang on, go back a bit, Mt Gambier City Council? I thought you said that they wouldn't dare come near you 'defamation' wise, 'cos they'd just out themselves for the rankly corrupt stooges that they are, and wind-up hung-high on the yard-arm of their own malfeasance and misconduct?-Ed)...does sound like the sort of thing I'd say, sure, but in this context...(orrrr, here we go, what is it with you and the bloody Context?-Ed)...shut it!...anyhoos, I was of course referring to the extraordinary April 2011 visitation to my domicile by MGC Councillor Ian Von Stanke, when he hand delivered that threatening letter...(of course, as covered in an early post from 2013, and as covered-up by successive MGCC CEOs Greg Muller and Mark McShane-Ed)...covered-up, of course, except for the large story in The Border Watch newspaper, completely dismissing the issue as per Council's agenda...(geez he's lucky you didn't catch him when he was puttin' that letter in your letterbox-Ed)...as indeed I have explained to him a coupla' times since, along with a not-so-polite and very ambiguous suggestion that he refrain from such behaviour in the future...for both our sakes...but mostly his...(yeah look, I ain't no Outdoorsman with mad survival skillz, fa' shizzle, but even I know that you don't go up to the bears' cave and poke it with a defamation threat-Ed)...well indeed...   

Feedback:...continues to surprise and empower me, 'cos for all the criticism that goes on behind my back, for all the criticism that doesn't have the basic courage or integrity to face me, there is that critiqué which has challenged me and has proven to be reversible...(whaaa?-Ed)...for example, earlier this year, someone who's opinion means quite a lot to me, had a right royal go at me about being "paranoid and delusional"...(what did they say?-Ed)...ummm, that I was "paranoid and delusional"...(yeah, but specific to what? or was it just 'you're paranoid and delusional'?-Ed)...yeah, just a general observation I think about my various issues...(yeah, but talking about actual events and realities, no matter how bizarre and/or unpleasant, that's not being paranoid or delusional-Ed)...my point as I made it, exactly and repeatedly...however, 'recently' I was in conversation with that person re the issue of 'Operation Baritone', etc, and they jokingly did their impersonation of SAPol Prosecutions, namely, 'your Honour, Mr Fletcher's claims are ridiculous, he's paranoid and delusional, and if you care to read through the transcripts of the phone recordings we've made of Mr Fletcher, you'll see just how paranoid he is'...(that is quite funny actually...'our recordings of him prove how paranoid he is'-Ed)...indeed, hilarious...

Point being, there wasn't an apology or discussion of fault or blaming, etc, the joking was a face-saving way of apologising without actually saying 'sorry, I was wrong', and in that context is exactly as good as any apology...this person was readily acknowledging the fact that I have every right to be a tad paranoid, not least of all because of the series of ludicrous realities I have going on in my life, not least of all the reality that is 'Operation Baritone'...('Operation Baritone'...wow...they're closing bloody stations across the State because of you ya' know-Ed)...what?...(well what does a shreckin' 'Operation' cost to run?-Ed)...gourd, I dunno'...(yeah, but it can't be cheap, and yet SAPol is shutting down services in major stations, even some small stations completely, etc, etc-Ed)...well indeed, these are the 2 main points people raise with me, namely, "WTF?", followed closely by, "how much does that nonsense cost then?"...

Vague apology for focussing on my own stuff in this 'ere blog recently, but gourd knows that it's just a natural reaction to 'being the news'...(and fair enough, this stuff has long been an attack on you/parents re the St Martins Cover-up, and others have sought to make you the issue, to accuse y'all as being nutters, troublemakers and liars, etc...these bastards have tried to make you the only genuine issue, to make you the story-Ed)...indeed, and hasn't that worked-out well for them...still, sorry to others who's issues I've dropped-off, eg, Wind Turbines...just stunned to see the recent SA Labor announcement that they are 'considering another Interconnector', this time costing between $300million and, wait for it, $700m to export 'Renewable Energy'...that's right, in a State with the highest 'Leccy prices on the planet, yet another massive piece of entirely unnecessary Electricity infrastructure...(only it's arguably entirely necessary because SA now has no 'Base Load' production, and is entirely reliant on the current Interconnector with Victoria to import a minimum of 60% of our base-load Electricity needs...it's an absolute debasco-Ed)...absolutely, we'll have to try and do another Turbine post soon...(sure-Ed)...
