Where We're A Peerless Salty Watergate:...because it actually involves actual water, albeit water that never actually existed and therefore didn't require a weir or a pier...(ah witty Wilde-Ed)...and it is absolutely illustrative of our times that it was a Twitterer-er, 'Ronni Salt', aka, 'Veruca Salt', and currently 'Ronni-Who Knew About The Contracts?-Salt' that did most of the foot-slogging groundwork, and herself acknowledges others like '@MaryanneSlatte1 and @R_o_d_C (Rod Campbell)...(amongst several others-Ed)...indeed...and it was Ms Salt's tweets where I first read specific details about the rancid corruption evident in the dealings of the LNP's Angus Taylor and Barnaby Joyce...(rancid corruption you say?-Ed)...Barnaby 'Beetrooter' as Water Minister and Angus as a Director/Founder/whatevs of a company that received $80m in 'Water Buybacks', for water that never actually existed...(wow-Ed)...$80m payed directly to a Cayman Islands account...(cha-ching-Ed)...and when exposed, deathly silence from Beetrooter who is apparently 'out of phone range somewhere'...(so he doesn't have a satelite phone? bollocks-Ed)...indeed, and Angry Angus goes all rabidly 'Defamation Threaty' with Ms Salt and other media, and her Twitter account gets suspended, etc...
Here's what's happening in the age of new media, the exposure of issues that would otherwise likely remain complicitly hidden from public view...(are you referring to the abject failure of the vast majority of Main Stream Media and the wholly compromised ABC, etc, to even acknowledge this extraordinary issue?-Ed)...absolutely I am, and I also note the standard 'defense' of the rancidly corrupt politicians involved...(what, either temporarily disappear hoping to avoid any accountability, ala Beetrooter, or go entirely the other way like The Angry Angus, and try to threaten/bully/intimidate with vacuous 'Defamation Threats'?-Ed)...exactly, whilst furiously contradicting himself one day to the next...I'm not gunna' try to break this down to it's constituent elements about when AA set-up the company or when he/they received the money, etc, 'cos 1) it's very complicated and involved, and 2) I don't completely understand bits of it, and 3) there's now an absolute shreck-load of info on the Interweb, not least of all the lengthy story run by Channel 10's The Project...(not to mention the above 'Ronni-WKATC?-Salt' twitter account, which is obviously back up again-Ed)...it's all there, including The Project's latest tweets, and other stuff about 'more info that has to be checked due to legal threats'...(in my humble opinion, and I am entitled to an opinion, well least-ways I think I still am, anyhoos, IMHO, the Liberal/National Party is nothing short of a Criminal Organisation-Ed)...and you sure-as-shreck ain't Robinson Crusoe on that one mate, strewth, the LNP's own conduct confirms it...

Back From The Bush, Beetrooter's Berzerkly Belligerent Baked Barney:...and since starting this post, this issue has gone spectacularly ballistic with arguably the worst/best interview ever...("worst/best"? WTF?-Ed)...well 'worst' if you are Beetrooter, the Liberal/National Party, PM Scott 'Scummo' Morrison, Angus Taylor, et al, and 'best' if you enjoy an angry, drunk, unhinged man relentlessly shouting jibberish that only confirms that there's a massive problem with this deal...(wow, I've just spent what seems like a week listening to that interview, and it is a rolled-gold train wreck, Beetrooter is clearly drunk-as, relentlessly shouting-over the interviewer Pat Karvelas-Ed)...yep, and he does that classic obfuscation that Rory McEwen made his own, namely, ignore the question asked by asking himself a question and then don't even answer that!...(that is truly the most extraordinary interview I've ever heard/seen, it is absolutely excruciating-Ed)...indeed it is...(and it just goes on and on-Ed)...he does doesn't he...(and how many bloody times does he mention Labor and blame Labor and then support Labor before again blaming Labor? it's just bizarre-Ed)...bizarre is the polite way of putting it, it's actually quite disturbing...as confronting and infuriating and distressing as this interview is, I urge availees to persist and endure it in it's entirety because it starts bad, gets worse...(then worser-Ed)...indeed, and then gets positively surreal...(you'll cry, you'll laugh, you'll wanna' see the poor bastard get the rehab he so clearly needs, it's got literally everything-Ed)...except actual answers...

But just in closing, I'll quickly qualify/quantify my earlier statement about where Robe Council's conduct mimics this Actual Watergate stuff, namely, where Robe Council has combined the inappropriate redaction and/or removal of and/or refusal to supply critical documents with the 'Defamation Threat Agenda'...(combined them? how?-Ed)...well as I understand it, Mt Peden's official statement provided to Robe Council at the relevant meeting in April 2019, and as printed/reported in the local paper, and as Council apparently committed to including in their Meeting Minutes, etc, etc, well Council has seen fit to redact/remove large swathes of that statement from their Minutes, replacing it with the statement/threat that, and I quote...
"On legal advice the Council has redacted information contained within the presentation that
is factually incorrect, potentially inflammatory and/or defamatory. It is also stated where
comments are opinion and not supported by fact."
...(wow, good work Robe Council-Ed)...indeed, I'll have a thorough look at this nonsense and get back to y'all asap...(and what's the "legal advice"?-Ed)...dunno', doesn't say, why?...
(Well, they'd wanna' be real sure mate, 'cos publicly accusing someone of 'defamation', which is what Robe Council have done by putting this statement in their Minutes, making that specific accusation publicly and without any proof, that is in-and-of-itself actually defamation of Mr Peden by the Robe Council-Ed)...ouch!...(and rather reminiscent of when that cloth-eared half-wit, former MGC Councillor Josh Lynagh stated on his Facebook page that "he defames people", where "he" is referring to you, and that is not just a direct public accusation of criminality, but a direct public statement of fact of criminality, a public statement of fact not supported by any evidence (eg, a trial and subsequent 'conviction') and therefore defamation-Ed)...or where people like Bill DeGaris have 'Threat Complained' to The Googles with false accusations about my supposed 'defamations', thus falsely accusing me of 'criminality' to a third party...(well quite, it's the standard corrupt response to actual criminality, threaten defamation-Ed)...threaten defamation but in doing so, actually commit defamation themselves...(exactly-Ed)...hilarious...can't wait to see Robe Council's "legal advice"...
