Howdy dear availees, and my very embarrassed apologies for this latest 'tech-generated' 2 week hiatus on this 'ere blog...and not least of all 'cos it wasn't the 'tech' that was at fault, it was very much 'operator error'...following-on from having to replace the 'graphics card', been having all sorts of shenanigans with my monitor doing a heap of dodgy stuff, eg, going a weird shade of blue, blurry mis-sized text, flickering, etc...just 10 minutes of screen-time was giving me blinding headaches, so very limited Twitter time and just avoiding the blog altogether...I've also been doing multiple correspondence on a 'live' issue with Mt Gambier City Council, and I'll blog about that later in the week when the matter has progressed...currently MGCC is doing the whole 'we've answered that question' and/or 'we're not answering' due to as-yet unidentified "privacy and confidentiality reasons"...however, the 'tech' issue turns-out to be as simple as a connection cable that visually appeared to be attached just fine, but was actually half-loose, loose enough to cause all of the described problems...literally that simple...now onto today's topic, more blatant ABC pro-LNP bias...
Today's Insiders program on the ABC was yet another appallingly biased pro-LNP pantomime masquerading as a current affairs program, on the wholly compromised supposedly 'Leftie' ABC...regular Murdoch-minion non-event James Campbell was his usual self-satisfied, obtuse, blathering, pig-ignorant font of dross, making multiple spurious unsupported allegations about what he theorises are Labor's internal machinations and motivations...(as someone well versed in being threatened with 'Defamation', I thought that some of his unsupported allegations strayed well into the realm of 'Defamation'-Ed)...indeed, a very reasonable point to make, making bellicose critical statements of fact, that are actually entirely sans fact and/or actual substance, that's not far at all from 'Defamation'...literally half the program was dedicated to the relatively minor issue of branch-stacking in Victoria, but not a single mention of the multiple similar branch-stacking issues with the LNP...(including no mention of how PM Scott 'Scummo' Morrison corruptly became the Member for Cook, and then PM-Ed)...or that the former New South Wales Premier Gladys 'The Shredder' Berejiklian is appearing before the NSW ICAC tomorrow...
Guest interviewee was Labor's Shadow Finance Minister Katie Gallagher, who spent half her time answering Speer's relentless gotcha'-style questions about Victorian branch-stacking, but not one single question about her actual portfolio brief...Australia's massive debt continues to spiral-off up and up and outta' sight, but not one single word about it with the Shadow Minister...time and again Speers did his usual gotcha' interruptions, pestering Ms Gallagher to commit to what he wanted the Labor-critical discourse to be...(whilst steadfastly ignoring so many corruption issues currently playing-out in the Liberal/National Party, from multiple Federal Ministers running multiple pork-barrelling rorts involving colour-coded spreadsheets, through multiple instances of dodgy pseudo-jobs for mates/partners, multiple Sexual Assaults/Rapes, Christian Porter's $1million secret legal donor, etc, etc-Ed)...exactly, and into the mind-numbing shit-show that is the NSW LNP, with Premier, Deputy Premier, Transport Minister and one other quitting, forcing 4 expensive by-elections...(and then jokey micro coverage of the Murdoch media and LNP's sudden 180 about-face on what they previously dismissed as being Climate Change nonsense, but now supposedly fully agree with-Ed)...yep, this deserved to be eviscerated at length for the fake pre-election repositioning that it is, but was laughingly skipped over as a minor issue...
This is a text-book example of the way that the ABC supports and protects the LNP, either ignoring critical issues completely, or deliberately minimising them with bemused, flippant, and/or very brief 'discussion', before stampeding-back to some dutiful Labor bashing.
Whatever the ABC might have been decades ago, any vaguely balanced observer has noted or will acknowledge the relentless pro-LNP masthead that it has become...the morning ABC TV news program has become as unwatchable as their various other panel shows, de-evolving into a MSM morning show-style, pro-LNP dribble-fest...many former ABC supporters identify the definable LNP efforts to undermine, white ant, and/or dismantle the public broadcaster...but what really ripped my bib today was the opening salvo from a sports reporter on The Offsiders, the sports show immediately following Insiders...without skipping a beat, and reading dutifully from the ABC's anti-Labor script, the woman repeated the patently false claim that Victoria's latest 'lock-down' is the "world record longest"...(a 'lock-down' courtesy of NSW's abject failures and refusals to act appropriately re COVID19 restrictions, thusly spreading their 'outbreak' to Victoria, Canberra, and even into Aotearoa (New Zealand)-Ed)...exactly...(and Victoria have had 5-6 'lock-downs', the last 2 'cos of infections from Sow Straya and NSW, and have totalled 260+ days, but Brazil had one long lock-down' of the same length...the reality is Victoria's latest closure is nowhere near any sort of record-Ed)...precisely, but that didn't stop the sports reporter from parotting this falsehood, as being broadly circulated by the ABC and other MSM...
And then the sports reporter teed-off into vaguely unspecific but very angry criticisms of Queensland and Western Australia, and 'why would English cricketers want to go there?', etc...it was pathetically biased, misinformed, fundamentally false, and just straight-out embarrassing to see the once-mighty ABC sink to such blatant and corrupted propaganda even in a sports show...and it's this pro-LNP corruption that protects and supports the LNP's relentless criminality, and makes the next issue absolutely relevant...the day before Berejiklian is set to front the NSW ICAC, not one word about it on Insiders...
So I've included here the link for the Transparency Australia website, and the specific link to their article about the LNP's supposed proposed Independent Commission Against Corruption, an ICAC model that is so secretive and limited that it makes the South Australian ICAC look like a robust, functional, and genuinely independent authority...(and that ain't easy to do-Ed)...and indeed, SA ICAC gets a specific mention as being an abject failure..."South Australia’s rushed attempts

And leading-on directly from the bizarre changes that SA Parliament made to SA ICAC only weeks ago, as referred to there-in...(changes slammed through Parliament in a blistering 24hrs-Ed)...indeed, well last week things went full-knock nutso when Liberal first-term back-bencher Dan Cregan quit the Libs and started calling himself an 'Independent'...(Danny-boy was pre-selected for the 'blue-ribbon' safe Liberal seat of Kavel in the Adelaide Hills, but decided he was far too important to the people of South Australia to limit himself to the lowly back-benches-Ed)...well quite, but literally actually the very next day he backed a Labor motion to instigate an 'inquiry' into the conduct of Lib Attorney-General Vicki Chapman regarding the denial of planning approval for a port on Kangaroo Island...Vicki Chapman is one of my very least favourite politicians...(due to here rankly complicit collusion in your Pro-Paedophile Political Persecution "bizarre trial" under ICAC legislation?-Ed)...yeah, for that, but I take no pleasure in her troubles here 'cos I'm far more concerned for the apparent collusion evident in this recent series of events...those concerns were all-but confirmed when the SA House of Assembly (Lower House) then rammed-through changes to legislation making it compulsory that the Speaker be an 'Independent'...(no major party stooge for Speaker no more-Ed)...exactly...
And have a wild guess as...(Cregan-Ed)...to whom the Labor/cross-benches pseudo-coalition appointed to the massively powerful/influential position?...well?...(I said already, Cregan-Ed)...oh yeah, right, yes, Cregan, ol' Danny-boy went from non-event back-bencher to Speaker in a week...(with associated $150k pay rise and car/driver supplied, etc-Ed)...and ludicrously stating that that wasn't the issue, that he'd do it for "a can of beans"...(well pay him that then-Ed)...well quite, can you imagine if the Parliament legislated to take him up on his farcical statement...(he'd have a shreckin' aneurysm, followed by a litter-a'-kittens-Ed)...indeed he would...and call me a cynical ol' conspiracist, but I find it impossible to believe that this is an unrelated series of events...to my reading of the situation, Labor and/or someone acting on their behalf, eg, another cross-bencher, someone has organised/conspired with Cregan to sucker-punch the Marshall Liberals right in their collective genitals, and quite literally bring the government to it's metaphorical, political, and actual knees...remember, SA has a long history of supposed 'Independents' acting as Labor Fifth Columnists, eg, Rory McEwen, Don Pegler, Geoff Brock, and the notoriously corrupted Liberal traitor Martin Hamilton-Smith...
Somehow the SA Marshall Liberal government is currently minority government 21 Members instead of 24...('ow's that done then?-Ed)...not sure exactly, but assume it has something to do with cross-benchers, including those former Liberals now operating as 'Independents', etc, that all that crew are guaranteeing supply...(which means?-Ed)...they agree to support the Liberal government on 'Money Bills', therefore 'supply', etc...it's somewhat more complicated than that, but you get the general idea...
To close today, I refer dear availees to this most excellent article about how the Main Stream Media and ABC help protect the LNP and manipulate/deceive the ever-suffering public...(the title 'Normalising The Rot', says it all doesn't it?-Ed)...yes it does...it's an excellent piece covering some of the issues where-in the MSM and ABC make the LNP's often deceitful misrepresentations credible, by discussing them as facts and then taking the discussion from that point, rather than correctly questioning the glaring falsehoods and addressing them...(and equally complicit ignoring of critical corruption issues as though they aren't important-Ed)...spot on...and then I've included a perfect example of exactly this sort of complicit conduct, as taken from the ABC website...

It's a blatant and deliberate distortion of the realities that it's New South Wales that caused all these problems, NSW and Berejiklian that unleashed the current 'surge' on Canberra, Victoria, and New Zealand, with other states also compromised...(and never a mention of the Liberal-led Sow Straya or Tasmania whom also have closed borders to NSW, etc-Ed)...yep, it is yet another perfect example of the ways the ABC is attacking Labor-led states, ie, Queensland, Victoria, and Western Australia, and ignoring the actual facts about where all these problems originated, namely, NSW ans/or the Federal Liberal government...
